Beneath the Red Dragon

Chapter 363: Chapter 140: Behemoth (Part 2)

Their blades are stained with blood; the enemy’s blood and shattered flesh have dyed the dark iron armor a deep crimson, but the eyes of these warriors grow increasingly bright and fierce.

”Our goal is to completely crush these beastmen here, not allowing them to advance one step into the heart of our territory,” declared the Dragon-blooded Centaur with an awe-inspiring aura, his dragon features becoming more pronounced.

The red mane, like steel wire, the crimson tail, like an iron broom, the blood-covered scales steaming, exuding the sulphuric aura of a Red Dragon.

His mouth with interlocking sharp teeth surveyed the fully armored heavy knights, and he spoke in a voice like steel: ”Gogomola’s Spear will shatter any enemy that stands in our path, the will of Divine Gogomola is with us.”

”Even if our flesh perishes, our souls eternally return to the Holy Hall. I urge you to follow my steps, until my body falls,”

The strongest centaur monster under this Giant Dragon raised his bloodstained sword, letting out a chilling roar: ”We sacrifice the enemy’s blood to the Holy Hall, offer the enemy’s skulls to the throne!”

”Flesh perishes, eternally return to the Holy Hall, blood sacrifice to the Holy Hall, skull offering to the throne!”

Countless Steel Warriors raised their swords and thundered in agreement!

Two Giant Dragons also raised their heads, letting out a roar that shook the heavens and the earth.

Boom, the torrent of steel and iron rolled once more, as Chiron, the King of Centaurs enveloped in fiery hues, led the charge anew.

The earth trembled, like thousands of horses galloping, the tide surged forward, crashing directly into the defensive line of the Beastman Army.

This time, the line organized by the Beastman Army was even more fragile than before; the Centaur Warriors and mixed heavy cavalry were no longer silent, they roared fearsomely, their swords like thunderbolts from the heavens, an unstoppable celestial power.

”Advance, advance, crush everything!” The surging sound waves were terrifying like rolling thunder, the blazing sword light flashing faster than lightning.

The shield wall organized by the Beastmen was broken in one surge, the raised long spears forcibly shattered, heads rolling down, hot blood spraying from throats.

Two Giant Dragons ran along the sides of the heavy armored torrent, these two female dragons’ magic power already drained dry, yet they held their sharp claws like swords, bodies as solid as heavy armor.

They danced wildly on the battlefield like war machines, pouncing and tearing through enemy flesh, crushing their tendons, skins, and tough bones.

The whole battlefield was an interwoven hell of blood and flesh, and the source was beastmen’s bones and blood, no beastman survived the insane charge of the Giant Dragon Corps, unless forged of steel and iron.

”Kill them, stop them,” the Beastman Chieftain raised the battle flag, urging the beastmen warriors to attack.

”We should retreat and regroup with the Great Chief, then reorganize the army, now the formation has been scattered, difficult to withstand!”

Beside him, the beastman guard shouted loudly, that unstoppable torrent of steel advancing this way, the shocking cries of battle swept by the fierce wind, the heavy scent of blood in the air chilling brave beastmen to the bone.

”No, a leader would never leave his battle flag, I will stand here and show every warrior that their leader never fears,”

The Beastman Chieftain roared: ”Attack, attack, bear the flag, follow me, charge.”

But even the bravest courage could be crushed beneath a steel torrent, and the guards the brave Beastman Chieftain led were broken by the heavy cavalry in one blow, his raised battle lance pierced a warrior, then was shattered by several blades.

Banner after banner fell, the torrent of steel also sustaining damage, but in the face of the insane charges of the Giant Dragon Corps piercing through the beastmen repeatedly, the coalition army formed by various tribes began to scatter completely, fleeing in all directions across the grassland.

On the periphery, Wild Beast Cavalry, those kobolds, and green-skinned riders had suffered many losses, the steel corps of the Dragon intentionally avoiding direct confrontation with beastmen cavalry to first crush the beastmen infantry.

Even those beastman cavalry could not disrupt their own formation, thus those beastman cavalry also began exterminating these wild beast riders.

But the remaining wild beast cavalry started to bypass the scattered beastmen, converging towards their own cavalry corps, because the decisive battle was imminent.

The steel corps of the Dragon and the beastman cavalry stood looking at each other across the formations of fleeing beastmen, separated by over a thousand meters.

Thump thump,

The beastmen’s mounts nervously pawed the ground, though these beastmen were the elite of the Beastman Army and had not exhausted much energy, they dared not be negligent facing the Dragon Corps that had suffered great exertion.

The air was thick with the scent of blood that was nauseating, the strong Beastman Chieftain Detan An holding the reins of his giant beast tightly, gripping his war lance in hand.

He knew clearly that winning this cavalry confrontation would mean a chance for the Beastman Alliance, and he could consolidate the remaining army with the prestige of victory.

Though the army had been scattered, the losses were not unbearably heavy, still, over 30,000 beastman warriors remained.

Conveniently most of the beastman chiefs had been killed; he could rightfully consolidate all the beastmen, forging them into a more united force, capable of stronger power than the loose alliance.

Those dragon soldiers could not be allowed more rest time, the Beastman Chieftain, the powerful Detan An raised the war lance forged from Shadow Dragon’s spine high, shouting angrily: ”Beastmen, never slaves!”
