Beneath the Red Dragon

Chapter 373: Chapter 143: Speculation (3)

”Prince, Gahn, there is no need to organize another attack. Those Giant Dragons and their Warriors have already withdrawn voluntarily; they know they cannot withstand another assault.”

Beastman Cole, as the chief officer overseeing the entire siege, couldn’t hide the excitement on his face.

”That’s great. To minimize the loss of our Warriors, we let the Fishmen charge for us, which they held out until now. I originally estimated it would take two more days to completely break their defenses and drive them out of this city.”

Beastman Prince Gahn also couldn’t help but smile on his composed face; for the first time, his voice clearly expressed his emotion of joy.

”Quickly send a message to the Kingdom, inform those foolish ones that we have achieved a crucial victory; it’s time for them to smell the scent of victory.”

”Also, dispatch the army to occupy the Golden City, leave that pocket city for the Fishmen to loot, temporarily avoid conflicts with them. Our main priority now is to start relying on the Golden City as a foothold, waiting for reinforcements, and gradually invading.”

Beastman Gahn excitedly clapped his hands, ”Let the Warriors who fought bravely rest in the city, then start rebuilding and repairing this city. It will be the first city of our Beastman Kingdom on the continent, and the starting point of our resurgence.”

That night, the desolate Golden City once again became brightly lit. The Beastman’s Vanguard Corps had already moved into the Golden City and stationed themselves in this city that had been laid to waste.

However, these Beastman Legions did not have strict discipline or training, so the Beastman’s Vanguard Corps abandoned their tents, entered those buildings that were still largely intact, and enjoyed a rare rest.

Even though the Golden City had undergone extensive artillery bombardment and Caster Corps spell bombardment, it still retained many buildings.

Especially the former Giant Dragon Library and Gladiatorial Arena buildings, not at the center point of the Golden City, but avoiding the central battlefront, the magic arrays laid in the past were still operating, and despite being plundered by Fishmen, remained largely intact, with these Beastmen favoring them as resting rooms.

A large number of Shahua Fishmen rushed into the pocket city, containing numerous buildings. These Shahua Fishmen rushed into the buildings, plundering wantonly, even searching through the ruins, completely heedless of the Giant Dragon Corps’ counterattacks. They were more afraid of the Fishman Prince’s punishment.

Until late at night, most of the Beastman’s Legion Warriors were already asleep, and these greedy Fishmen were still plundering the wealth left in every building and every corner of the city.

A strong Fishman Warrior kicked open the wide door of the house in front of him, full of joy.

A string of agate stone necklaces hung around its neck, along with some jewelry, it was draped in fine silk cloth, with exquisite handmade items hanging from its waist, even its claws were adorned with rings.

But a strange smell, intense and pungent, awakened this Fishman from the satisfaction of its harvest. It followed the smell through the hallway of the house and entered a room, from which sounds emanated from the dark room.

The Fishman Warrior tightened its grip on its Fish Spear and kicked open the door. Its limited Dark Vision revealed a pair of green eyes and a Kobold with a head resembling a lizard.

Next to this Kobold, the wooden floor was already flipped, exposing a deep pit, and this Kobold was pouring a layer of pungent, viscous liquid in the room.

The liquid in the room had already spread across the floor, flowing outside the room. The intense and pungent smell caused the Fishman Warrior to suddenly recall the flames on that piece of The Sea.

”Fierce fire, it’s fierce fire!” The Fishman Warrior screamed in terror, directly fleeing from the weak Kobold Warrior in front of it. It stumbled, trying to escape from the house, escape from the city.

Bam, a jar of fierce fire oil was thrown out from inside the room, smashing against the wooden wall of the house. The pungent smell spread instantly, and in its panic, the Fishman Warrior could only hear the loud shout from inside the room.

”My body burns in flames, my soul eternally returns to the Holy Hall, great Red Dragon, my master, may your will guide my loyal soul!”

Pious prayer, surpassing the whispers of Demons, accompanied by the bright flames, one black orb after another was ignited, emitting a roaring sound of explosions, flames, and explosions swept through the house, the ground collapsed.

At that moment, as the roaring sound sounded, it was as if a chain reaction had been triggered, instantly setting the entire city ablaze.

Kobolds and green-skinned Goblins ignited fierce fire oil and gunpowder bombs. They didn’t even consider burrowing back into the tunnels, burning together with the flames.

”Woof woof, in the Dragon’s Holy Hall, there are also Kobold figures,” a Kobold grinned knowingly with a Long Spear stuck in its chest, igniting the fierce fire oil in front of it, igniting everything in front of it.

The Beastman Sentinel could only watch in despair as the great fire rose around him, engulfing him instantly. He couldn’t escape, for fires erupted everywhere around him.

Rumble, the overwhelming Golden City erupted like a mountain collapse and tsunami. The ground collapsed, burying everything.

The flames raged, burning everything; the fire couldn’t be subdued, couldn’t be halted, couldn’t be escaped in this city built mainly of wood.

The entire city seemed to be inside the Red Dragon’s fiery prison until everything was destroyed, turning all into ashes. The towering flame was visible even dozens of miles away, its continuous thunderous noise could not be suppressed even by the angry roar of The Sea.
