Beneath the Red Dragon

Chapter 357: Chapter 138: Bag Chui’s Hammer_3

Though after reaching the Saint Tier, one gains the ability to walk briefly in mid-air, Cole was not a fool.

In the air, one becomes a living target; even those strong enough to contend with legends don’t dare face direct attacks from a large legion until they truly enter the legend ranks.

Dragons are the kings of the sky, and to fight a dragon in the air can only be done by someone capable of crushing dragons, or a true fool.

The beastman Cole had his gaze firmly locked on the young Red Dragon still wantonly rampaging, its magma-fueled mind using its thick tail to swat away several beastmen.

Yet, its body had begun to flow with scorching dragon blood, dripping onto the battlefield, sizzling as it scorched the earth.

Crack,

Cole’s gauntlet-clad hand clenched tight, his breath grew heavy, blood-red filled his eyes, and powerful energy surged within him.

His limbs started swelling, his originally gnarled muscles began to swell rapidly, his physique expanded, bones cracking loudly, soon pressing the loose armor tightly together.

Boom,

The beastman Cole cracked the ground beneath him, trod firm by countless warriors, and began to run while hefting the heavy Hammer of Destruction; the earth was the spine of his strength, bloodline formed the bones of his power, the legendary weapon Hammer of Destruction was the extension of his might.

All warriors in his path were directly sent flying by this formidable beastman, like loose grasses blown by the winds of a galloping horse across the prairie.

”Die, Red Dragon, embrace your pathetic end,” Cole’s heavy hammer emitted a dark glow, amplifying the formidable forces within this legendary weapon, the roaring wind blew fiercer than the strongest gales, and hurtled towards the young Red Dragon.

The young Red Dragon’s rage and destructive desire fueled by Evil Dragon Blood suddenly awakened him at this moment; the mortal threat made his scales stand on end, pinning him with a piercing intent to kill.

”You wish to kill me, you’re not even close, cowardly trash who dare only ambush,” the young Red Dragon Kedelos roared, able only to swing his thick right claw from right to left in a sweeping strike.

Clang,

The dragon’s claw clashed with the beastman’s heavy hammer, emitting a sound like colliding steel.

After a microsecond of standoff, a wave of power rippled outward like scattered waves, sending nearby beastmen flying, dust billowed, mingled with the furious roar of the Red Dragon.

The formidable beastman warrior Cole recoiled with his heavy hammer, also pushed back a step by the dragon’s potent force, cracking the ground beneath him.

The legendary weapon’s wolf-tooth hammer stained with dragon blood and fragments of broken scales.

Dust cleared, revealing the massive body of the Red Dragon, the young Red Dragon’s right claw had several dense wounds on the palm, scorching dragon blood dribbled from deep holes, the entire right claw was bent backward, hanging limply.

The beastman warrior showed a cruel smile, his thick legs cracking the ground, his heavy hammer carrying cliff-crushing force as he struck once more.

At such close range, the young Red Dragon Kedelos dared not spew Dragon Fire again, the armor on the beastman warrior shimmered with magical light; as long as he could withstand the Red Dragon’s fire briefly, the Red Dragon was stepping into the abyss of death.

Kedelos could only roar while swinging lethal claws, not to counter that dreadful legendary weapon, but to sweep at the beastman warrior’s body, initiating the attack.

The dragon’s body was enormous, its forelimbs longer in reach than the beastman’s heavy hammer attack, so the Red Dragon aimed to compel the beastman warrior.

If the beastman chose mutual destruction, the Red Dragon would be severely injured, but the beastman’s armor couldn’t withstand the dragon’s lethal claws, liable to be sliced in two or sent flying.

Yet beastman warrior Cole was one of the finest warriors in the Beastman Kingdom, not only possessed with refined combat skills and awareness but also more agile than the dragon.

Cole’s heavy body stepped back two paces, his heavy hammer swiftly whistling downward, deflecting the dragon’s claw, then started circling the Red Dragon’s massive body, attacking the dragon’s underbelly, entrapping the Red Dragon in his attack rhythm.

Meanwhile, surrounding beastman warriors began encircling the battlefield, their long spears and longbows seeking the dragon’s fatal weaknesses, intending to kill the Red Dragon.

Behind the beastmen, the positions for the giant crossbows and artillery gradually forming, magic power cannons fastened to mounts, setting aim and elevation.

Dragon-Hunting crossbows’ bases hammered into the ground, starting pulley wind and installing giant crossbows.

Blue Dragon Akzhi watched the battlefield, observing the beastmen and fishmen being gradually crushed; their advance had begun to retract, their mission completed, buying time for the artillery setups.

Thus, they now slowed their assault, commencing strategic retreat to their rear.

”Hold positions, do not pursue!”

Jackal Wolfman Yougu and Barbarian Jib stopped the bloodthirsty warriors’ desire to chase, warriors of steel now transformed into a forest of flesh and blood, still staunchly holding their ground unshaken.

Though their sharp long sabers already dulled edges, some steel blades showing dense gaps, even steel suffers damage from hitting the hard bones of countless enemies.
