Chapter 583: Chapter 246 Sudden Change (Two in One Large Chapter)_4

“…It’s said that the fangs of trolls possess a special power, the stronger the troll warriors are, the more obvious this power in their fangs is…”

“During the era when the Ancient Giant Troll Empire ruled, many tribes of primitive humans worshipped and conducted rituals for the fangs of mighty dead troll warriors, borrowing the miraculous powers contained within them…”

Rein read with great interest.

Although what was written in the ancient texts was still vague, it sketched out a rough internal logic of why the Ancient Giant Troll’s fangs had facilitated his class change to Beast Priest (Legendary).

“Just as I guessed, there’s no influence from the Evil God inside. This must be some unique ability from an ancient race…”

Several days passed.

Rein spent his days methodically alternating between general education classes and the rapid stream chamber, practically living a two-point life.

Unfortunately, there wasn’t much opportunity to use the other two core skills of the Beast Priest (Legendary).

However, this morning, the evaluation for Rein’s handling of the sudden incident had come out from above.

Three bronze medals and an additional eight hundred Merit Points for his evaluation.

Barnes’s prediction was very accurate!

However, these awards would not be received until the secondment task was settled.

A background with three bronze medals was already enough to promote Rein’s emblem level from the bronze to the silver rank.

This also meant that Rein would soon be eligible to take on silver-ranked tasks.

And the distance to obtaining the golden medal was not far off.

…..

Late at night.

In the Meister County, Flashgold Town Church.

A black-robed man bearing several symbols of burning black flames on his collar and cuffs entered the church, where, at that moment, seven or eight black flame monks in similar attire were already waiting.

“Emissary, the bone staff has been properly placed.”

“Very good, then let’s start with this small town!”

“Hmph! The Dragan Empire thinks that by destroying one of our branches, they have deterred the Black Flame Church, how foolish!”

“Starting today, let this decaying empire be thoroughly shaken!”

“Emissary, by doing this, might we provoke the Dragan Empire’s wrath and lead to a comprehensive purge? I’m not scared, but I’m worried it might delay the resurrection of the god…” One of the black flame monks hesitated to say.

The middle-aged man known as the emissary showed a strange smile, “Of course it will, but… The Dragan Empire won’t have the energy for that… Because this time, it’s not just us!”

Minutes later.

The black flame monks formed a circle as chanting echoed throughout the church!

“Great God of Hunting, please witness your humble servants offering this insignificant sacrifice… Welcome your return!”

Flashgold Town administration office.

Hamilton, who was in the rest room, suddenly woke up with a start as he felt a sudden palpitation in his heart!

Upon standing up, he faintly heard the sound of chanting from the church!

“How could anyone be praying at this hour?” Hamilton furrowed his brows in thought, and the next second, his expression drastically changed.

“This is bad!”

Hamilton immediately grasped what was happening, grabbed the sword and shield nearby, and rushed out of the room.

But as he led a team of elite Night Watchmen out of the administrative office, he saw an eerie, pale blood mist swirling in the sky over the whole of Flashgold Town.

Before they could even reach the church, the Night Watchmen beside Hamilton started screaming in horror!

“My nose is bleeding!”

“Look… the blood is floating up….”

The Night Watchmen watched in terror as blood oozed from their nostrils and eyes…

No matter how they tried to cover it, it wouldn’t stop!

The blood, like streams joining the sea, flowed through the air towards the church…

Hamilton’s pupils shrunk!

He decided to retreat at first, but a sudden look back revealed a black-robed figure appearing in front of and behind him…

“Eh, I didn’t expect to find a fish that slipped through the net here.”

“And it’s a senior Knight, judging by his attire, probably the sheriff of this small town. Perfect, with you included, the entire town will be almost complete.”

Minutes later, a familiar roar resounded!

All of Flashgold Town returned to silence.

A deathly quiet!

…

Under that same moonlight.

In Meister County, Fishing Port Town.

“Whoosh!”

Along the coastline, the waves rhythmically slapped against the rocks.

Suddenly, several tall humanoid creatures with peculiar looks emerged from the sea and rapidly slid ashore.

Their heads resembled miniature giant dragons, not only adorned with annular and stripe-like fins but also equipped with several large, catfish-like barbels hanging from their chins; their lower bodies were like large snakes, their upper bodies like humans, covered in scales.

These creatures stood at least two and a half meters tall, wielding Tridents, radiating formidable strength.

It was certain that these were no mere fishfolk!

Although they moved in a ‘Z’ pattern, their speed was extremely fast.

As they charged into Fishing Port Town, screams soon pierced the night!

…

Early the next morning.

When Rein stepped out of the room, intending to head to the Sword Bearers Branch newcomer building’s hall for general education classes, many griffins in the training ground were taking off, one after another, soaring and screeching towards the southeast.

“Eh? What’s going on? Why are all the griffins being deployed at once?” Rein looked puzzled.

Before he could figure it out, another squad of griffins quickly streaked across the sky.

“Is that Mingster’s griffin squadron?”

Rein could vaguely see that leading the griffins was Viscount Felk, who was adorned in pale golden Knight Armor.

At that moment, a red-haired beauty, Evelyn, approached anxiously from the end of the corridor and said eagerly to Rein, “Lord Rein, something big has happened in Meister County!”
