Chapter 577: Chapter 245: Change of Profession! Beast Priest (Legendary)! (Two in One Mega Chapter)_2

At the side, Asani from the Yakesen Auction House was watching the scene with an anxious look, deep in thought:

‘Viscount Fabien, how come your men haven’t arrived yet?’

‘If they don’t come soon, the items will really end up in the hands of the Sword Bearers…’

….

At that moment, Graham noticed that Rein’s silver knight armor also had fine holes and couldn’t help but ask with concern:

“Lord Rein, this injury of yours…”

“It’s nothing, thank you for your concern, Lord Graham,” Rein smiled and said.

Graham looked again at Rein’s complexion, which was rosy with no signs of blood loss, and seeing that no blood was seeping from the holes in the breastplate, he nodded and said, “That’s good, that’s good!”

“Lord Rein, you truly are a pillar of the empire…”

Graham hadn’t expected Rein to be so formidable.

In his heart, he thought it was a blessing from the goddess of fortune that Rein had advanced to Great Knight at sixteen, and in terms of strength, it was more reasonable that he was merely skirting the lower limits of a Great Knight.

But who could have expected that Rein’s strength was almost at the level of a seasoned knight?

This wasn’t just a blessing from the goddess; he was practically the goddess’s illegitimate son…

….

Eventually, the manager Asani waited until Graham was called away by his subordinates.

With a beaming face, Asani quickly stepped forward, bowed slightly to Rein, and said, “Esteemed Baron Reine, I am Asani, the manager of the Yakesen caravan. Thank you for helping to address our caravan’s trouble.”

“It’s nothing, I’m the security advisor for the trade district, and dealing with such incidents falls within my duties,” Rein didn’t quite understand the intention of the caravan manager before him.

Accordingly, his reply was somewhat formulaic.

“Um… Lord Rein, it’s like this. You see that native escaped from our caravan, and now his corpse, would we be able to redeem it? Of course, we would provide proper compensation,” Asani carefully expressed his request.

“Oh? Redeem the body?” Rein couldn’t help but look at him with surprise.

At the same time, Rein quickly realized, what significance was there in redeeming the body of a native?

Surely, the other party’s purpose wasn’t so simple, was it?

However… he had just searched the body of the native, and it seemed there was nothing valuable.

After all, the man had been brought over by a slave-catching team and had been searched countless times already; if there had been anything valuable, it would have been taken long ago.

Wait, not so fast!

Could it be that what this fellow wanted was those tusks?

Rein looked over Asani, the caravan manager, seeing his eyes flicker, his breathing quick, and his face slightly red, which made him even more certain of his guess.

It must be!

This was his spoils of war, and according to the Imperial Spoils Distribution Regulations, whether to surrender it up still depended on his own willingness.

Moreover, this item was related to the conversion of his own legendary profession panel…

Soon enough, Rein made a decision, and with a smile, he said:

“This guy killed so many people, involving even a noble. According to the Imperial Public Safety Management Regulations and the Dragan Empire Criminal Law, the murderer’s body must be preserved for a month, waiting for officials to come and perform an autopsy.”

“Do you not know this, Mr. Manager?”

Fuck!

Imperial Public Safety Management Regulations?

Dragan Empire Criminal Law?

Weren’t you wholly focused on combat as a Sword Bearer?

How can you be so familiar with imperial laws and regulations?

Rein’s every word closely adhered to the imperial laws and regulations, causing Asani to break out in a sweat, momentarily at a loss for words.

His purpose, of course, wasn’t really the native’s body, but that item—the ancient tusks, which had been worshipped and revered by the native tribe for hundreds or even thousands of years, purportedly possessing some mythical power.

But after the Yakesen company’s elite slave-catching team annihilated the native tribe, they just couldn’t find those tusks.

However, according to an auction house’s wizard specializing in divination, the trace or hiding place of the ancient tusks was with these surviving natives.

Therefore, they had brought the surviving natives back, planning to slowly interrogate them.

But unexpectedly, just when they had let their guard down upon reaching Mingster, this mishap occurred!

Shit!

Just then, a piercing cry of an eagle sounded in the sky.

Immediately after, came the sound of strong wing flapping, and Rein looked up to see two griffins, each about four or five meters long including the tail, with a lion’s body and an eagle’s head, boasting sturdy muscles and broad wingspans, descending from the sky!

Once the two griffins landed, they both glanced around with their unusually majestic eagle eyes.

This wasn’t Rein’s first time seeing a griffin, but it still filled him with envy!

He was really looking forward to Blood Feather growing up quickly.

After arriving at the Sword Bearers Branch, Rein had also learned that the Blood Feathered Horned Eagle belonged to the same tier of naturally fierce and predatory birds as the griffins, which meant that when Blood Feather was fully grown, it could completely hold its own in aerial combat against the griffins.

At that moment, two people jumped off the backs of the two griffins, one wearing silver armor, while the other was a middle-aged man in light golden armor.

Upon seeing the newcomers, Graham’s eyes lit up, and he quickly ran towards the man in light golden armor, bending slightly and saying, “Viscount Philke, what brings you here in person.”

“Lord Eustace, good to see you as well,” Graham also did not forget the other Griffin Knight.
