I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1654 - 22.40 Third Red Star - Tsunami

I am a bait my mermaid Emperor Father had chosen to attract his enemies.

These words not only stunned everyone in the dining hall, but even the great general didn’t seem to know about this. Among them, Lieutenant Shaka is the only one who didn’t know the existence of the beings called rotten apples by the Mermaid King. But based on their conversation, these beings can parasite or take over someone’s body, and the human race is vulnerable towards them. Moreover, these beings are all from ancient times and the upper realm. Even a god can be affected by them.

General Ye held his wife’s hand and said, ”Baby, please explain things to me properly. Since when have you become a bait?”

Before Hei Anjing spoke, his eyes moved onto the young lieutenant and he used the skill of authority to command him. He had only spoken one word of command.

”Sleep.”

Thud!

That command cannot be ignored or denied. Unless one is more powerful than the possessor of the skills, that command is absolute. In reality, there are too few beings who are on par with or stronger than the God of Destruction. The young lieutenant fell asleep on the spot and even hit his nose and head directly on the table. No one even stopped his fall and was hit so badly, but the command is absolute. Thus, regardless of pain, the young lieutenant fell into a deep sleep.

”My next words cannot be heard by an aborigine,” Hei Anjing said. ”Yue, Yang, bring him over to the guest room to rest.”

The two systems floated over the sleeping young lieutenant and used teleportation to disappear on the spot. As soon as the only outsider in the group had left, their conversation could now be resumed. Everyone’s attention once again fell on the Mermaid King, Hei Anjing.

Sigh!

Hei Anjing said, ”Alright. I will explain it. Don’t look at me like that.”

”The God of Sea in this world is Hunluan’s soul fragment. He is the father of my vessel in this world. The real Mermaid King is just a puppet created by the God of the Sea. A puppet made from the flesh and blood of the God of Sea.”

”You know about the curse of the Ancient Gods who died under the hands of the World Eater during the primordial era? Those souls… most of them weren’t devoured by the World Eater as he had long gone mad at that time. Thus, Hunluan can only capture all the lingering souls of the ancient gods. As Ancient Gods can’t die and can only either perish under the control of the most powerful one or be devoured by the World Eater.”

”During the process of being sealed, most of their powers were taken away; being exposed to chaos energy made them mad and become fierce ghosts after death. With their reason still existing yet affected by their hatred, all those connected to Hunluan will be targeted by them. However, they are afraid of the World Eater as he had the ability to devour them.”

”I who was born as Hunluan’s soul fragment’s flesh and blood in this world is like a tonic for them. For him, to restart the invasion meant that the fierce soul had escaped from their soul prison in this world. Well, it most likely breaks open by the World Eater. Like I am a tonic to those souls, they are also the same for him.”

The God of Void said, ”This doesn’t change the fact that you are their target. Baby, never leave my side starting today. If they dare to come over, I will devour them for you.” His crimson eyes flash with menace and anger. How can mere forgotten old ghosts target his beloved? Stay tuned with ReadNovelFull

Hei Anjing smiled, used his other hand to pinch his lover’s cheek and said, ”Alright. I will stick with my husband~”

”Master, do you think those fierce ghosts have entered the human lands by now?” asked Yun Ming.

Hei Anjing nods his head, which signifies his answer to Warden Yun Ming’s question.

Royal Knight Xion thought for a moment before saying, ”For the God of Sea to attack the land meant some of those fierce souls had entered the human habitat. We don’t even know how to differentiate them from other humans.”

”It should be easy. Fierce Soul reeks the scent of death regardless of taking over a living body,” said the Chief Warden. As the guardian of Nether Prison, he had seen all kinds of ghosts, and their characteristics were all recorded in his brain.

His Majesty Nokto said, ”Can this scent be picked up by humans as well?”

”Yes. They should be able to. The scent is caused by the living body rotting with a soul that was not meant for it to dwell in,” said Warden Yun Ming.

Royal Knight Lang said, ”Then warriors should easily differentiate them.”

”If their scent cannot be masked, then I think it’s better to use the royal decree for this,” suggests Royal Knight Xion.

Chief Warden Lou said, ”Their scent cannot be masked. This is something that comes from their soul itself.”

”Alright. I will write one when we get back to the palace,” said His Majesty Nokto.

The God of Destruction said, ”My love, mask my blessing on them with yours. If the fierce souls noticed my blessing, they might get targeted for it. But if it’s yours, adding gluttony in it should deter them.”

”Alright,” the God of Void said.

Except for the Chief Warden, whose soul is contracted with his master, the blessings were given to the other four, and as Hei Anjing’s wish, he covered his wife’s blessing with his. After talking for a while longer, the three left the mansion and returned to the palace. The next morning, all the morning news was about the tsunami that hit the land last night. A video recording sent anonymously by System Yue was shared with the news station and was directly reported.

Lieutenant Shaka woke up with a bewildered expression on his face. He met the others in the dining hall and joined them for breakfast. His mother was still not feeling well and sent the breakfast to her room instead.

While eating breakfast, the young lieutenant asked, ”Sirs, what happened to me last night? I don’t remember going back to sleep.”

”Oh? Your fatigue reached its limit and you fell asleep during the meeting. I had someone send you to the guest room,” said Yun Ming with his usual big brother next door smile on his face.

Holding his head with confusion on his face, ”But I remember we are still in the middle of a conversation; how can I fall asleep?”

”If you don’t know the reason, how can we know?” said the Mermaid King and

Seeing that everyone is acting like they didn’t know what had happened to him, he can only look like he had lost his memories while eating his breakfast. At least, Yun Ming was kind enough to explain to the young lieutenant about their plans for today. Everyone, except for Madam Sheena, will go to the headquarters today while waiting for another royal decree from the royal palace.

Before leaving the mansion, Hei Anjing and Yun Ming return to their little mermaid size, except for a small fishtail. They have a pair of small legs instead of standing at the breast pockets of the General and Colonel Lou.

Lieutenant Sirius asked, ”Will Lord Hei and Sir Yun come with us to the headquarters?”

”Yes. It’s time for the little mermaids to find a partner. They are especially indispensable for the current situation of the federation. If the main city was flooded, they could be our only chance of hope to survive underwater,” said the general.

Lieutenant Shaka asked, ”But isn’t the enemy the God of the Sea? All sea creatures are under his control; will these little guys save us in the end?”

”They were born from my genes and some human genes. Their loyalty’s first priority is me and not my Emperor Father. Also, don’t worry about me being controlled by him; he may be my father, but my bloodline is as pure as his. He could never order me around,” said the Mermaid King.

The general lightly pats his wife’s cheeks and says, ”We are going now. Tell me if it’s not comfortable in the pocket, Jing’er.”

”Alright. Don’t worry about me and do your job. I want to sleep for a while,” said Hei Anjing while yawning before hiding back in the pocket.

The young lieutenant was saying goodbye with his mother. She can stay in this place for a while until the house under Sirius is transferred in his name. While everyone is heading for the headquarters, a news flash about the tsunami last night is on the news all day.

{Flash News: A huge tsunami finally hit the land last night at 11 pm. The whole hundred range from the original seashore is now buried under the sea. Those who stayed within that area, no one had survived.}

{News Report: An anonymous sender of the tsunami last night had been sent to the news station. We will now show the reason why there are no survivors from last night’s tragedy.}

The video that was shared with them was the same one the young lieutenant and his mother had seen last night. There is no censorship for this video, and a huge warning of gore scenes was given. The first video didn’t show any scenes of blood. But the scene of towering waves destroying the lighthouse, buildings, and houses was shown. Also how powerless humans are against the sea.

When the second video was shared, the children were prevented from watching. It’s the scene of the sea monsters gathering within the tsunami and eating all humans that had fallen in the sea. The human, regardless of being an ordinary person, a soldier, or whatever, was all powerless in water and died without a corpse left behind. Only the tainted red sea and sea monsters fighting over the humans were all that was left behind.
