I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1640 22.27 Third Red Star - Rumors

The death of the former king was unexpected. During the preparations for the funeral, someone spread the bad news that it was the current king who killed the former one.

The Siegfred Clan took this as a chance to bring His Majesty Nokto, but unexpectedly, the military, to be precise, General Ye took things at hand and personally got involved, leaving the Siegfred Clan unable to follow up their move and suffering even more defeat under the hands of this cruel general.

On the other hand, the common people like the current flow of events. Having the royal clan and the military get along means that the Federation will only get stronger and fewer internal disputes.

More projects that involved the two factions were approved by the government, and even the nobles who used to hate the military were dumbfounded. They were used to being restrained by the military for project approvals. Now, as long as His Majesty approves the project they suggested, the military will allow it as well.

Now, they didnʼt have to wait for the military to have problems getting their projects approved through ugly means. As long as their king approves of it, the military will also allow it as long as it does not break any laws.

Somewhere in the palace...

A few project proposals that King Mokto deemed profitable for the clan approved the proposals and returned them to the writer.

”Xiong, Iʼm so tired. I donʼt want to work anymore,” complained His Majesty Nokto.

Xiong was rechecking the project proposal that his lover approved and said, ”Alright! Letʼs take a short break.”

Meanwhile, in the hallway just outside the throne hall, a few noble family representatives had just got their proposals approved and were on their way home. They exchanged words of flattery with the other people.

Rumors started spreading that his majesty Nokto and General Ye Xiajie were secret lovers. This news spread in the palace, the military, and eventually the whole federation.

”The X Clanʼs proposal has been approved again. Congratulations!”

”Your Y Clanʼs project was also approved. Send some more. As long as his majesty likes it, the military will definitely allow it.”

”Yes. Normally, it would be close to impossible to get the approval of the military. But lately, as long as the project was signed by his majesty, the general will not decline.”

”Donʼt you think that the royal family and the military had gotten closer after His Majesty Nokto sat on the throne?”

”If itʼs like before, we will have to wait for an opportunity to take the military off guard and get our projects approved. It was even a 50-50 approval as it can be changed as long as the general deems it useless.”

”Do you think the relationship between the king and the general is ambiguous? Didnʼt the rumors say that they...”

Shss~

”Donʼt be too loud. What if others heard you? However, I also think there is something weird between the two of them.”

”I thought so too. General is too lenient towards his majesty.”

”Maybe they are... You know...”

”Secret lovers?”

However, the ones involved were the last to know about it. Royal Knight Wolfred was on his way to send food to his lovers at the throne hall. He almost left the tray in his hand when he heard the rumors. He glares at the nobles, making a fierce face at them.

He exclaims, ”Watch your tongues! What kind of shitty rumors are you guys spreading?”

”Royal Knight, Lord Wolfred! Weʼre sorry!”

The whispering men all run out after being reprimanded by Lord Wolfred. It was well-known that two loyal and powerful royal knights protected his majesty. Lord Wolfred and Lord Xion.

One excels in war and combat, while the other excels with tactical knowledge as well as a famous scholar. Ahead of These two is His Majesty Nokto, who is well-known for his leadership and healing ability.

These three are the big three in the royal palace, and there is hardly anyone who can contend with them. But who would have thought that this kind of ridiculous rumor was spreading in the palace? Royal Knight Wolfred hurried to the throne hall and informed his two lovers.

Wolfred shouted as soon as he entered the hall, ”Honey, Sweetheart, thereʼs a big problem!”

”Eh? Eh? AʼLang, why are you shouting!?” His Majesty Nokto asked.

With a slight frown, Royal Knight Xion asked, ”Whatʼs the problem?”

”There are rumors spreading that Reen is the secret lover of General Yen!” Exclaimed Royal Knight Wolfred.

Flutters~

Thud!

The pile of papers in Royal Knight Xionʼs hand felt like it fell to the ground while His Majesty, who was holding a pen, crashed his head to the table in front of him.

His Majesty Nokto and Royal Knight Xion shouted at the same time, ”WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY!?”

Royal Knight Wolfred told what he heard from the nobles on the way just now. He told them every single detail he heard and remembered. However, this is still incomplete.

His Majesty made a gesture, and a hidden shadow guard appeared, kneeling before the throne.

”Waiting for your orders, Your Majesty!” said the shadow guard.

King Nokto ordered, ”I want all the details about this stupid rumor. Find out its source right away!”

”As you wish, Your Majesty!” The shadow guard disappeared on the spot.

Once again, the tension in the hall returns. King Nokto, who housed the soul of Greene Evergreen, looked so depressed and helpless. His two husbands were comforting him as they themselves couldnʼt believe that someone was stupid enough to use this kind of tactic to target him and the general.

It wouldnʼt be a problem if they were the original owners of this vessel. The problem is that General Yeʼs wife will not like this kind of rumor, and the one who spreads it will definitely suffer.

King Nokto sighed, ”Who is so fearless to spread such a lie? If you want to die, donʼt drag me into it!”

”Donʼt worry. Lord Hei will never blame you for such a ridiculous thing,” said Royal Knight Xion.

Royal Knight Wolfred said, ”The Boss would explode if he heard about this news. How can they seek death in such a way?”

His Majesty Nokto said, ”We should clear the rumors even at least in the royal palace. If this continues, the royal palace might get destroyed.”

”I will immediately arrange a press conference,” Royal Knight Xion said.

Royal Knight Wolfred said, ”Then I will stay here and protect Reen. Be careful out there.”

”Donʼt worry. We are not the main target. Whoever spreads those rumors is targeting the boss. They choose the wrong way, though. Maybe the Mermaid King will once again appear,” said Royal Knight Xion.

A few hours later, the shadow guards had sent the result of their investigation. After reading the report, Nokto, Xion, and Wolfred expressed disbelief and annoyance as the culprit is none other than the Siegfred Clan. To be precise, itʼs the second queen.

His Majesty Nokto, with a throbbing temple, said, ”Itʼs them again. Are they not going to stop until their clan is uprooted!?”

The Royal Knight, Xion, said, ”This clan is actually smart, but they are too greedy. Being one of the wealthiest in the federation isnʼt enough for them. They wanted to be number one with something.”

”They are wealthy, but compared to the richest Shaka Clan, the Siegfred Clan is still lacking. They wanted to be a powerful clan, but the royal clan was impeded, so they signed a contract with them. They wanted to be a family with authority in the federation, but the military blocked their path.”

”They have money, fame, power, and authority but still want to be number one.

What kind of damn obsession is this!?” retorted Royal Knight Wolfred.

His Majesty Nokto said, ”They will suffer more than when you destroyed their mansion. Thatʼs the big boss they dragged to mud this time. Letʼs send this report to the Generalʼs Mansion.”

---

Same day. At the Generalʼs Mansion...

The report about the absurd rumors had reached the ears of those in the mansion. They read the report as a group. After they read the contents, all eyes landed on Ye Xiajie. Even his wife, who was sitting on his lap, turned around to look at him with a smile that wasnʼt thoroughly a smile.

The God of Void is sweating buckets at this very moment. Even though it wasnʼt his fault, since it involved him, he couldnʼt avoid the heat falling onto him.

Ye Xiajie stutters, ”B-Baby, you k-know... itʼs not m-me who did it, r-right?”

The God of Destruction turned the television on, and news that announced the very same thing on the paper report was being played before them.

[Entertainment News Report: The Great General, Lord Ye Xiajie, and the current reigning king Nokto were said to have an illicit relationship.]

[Trending: Royal Clan and Military tying the knot?]

[Flash news: The Demon General is in love with the Gentle King.]

Everyone watches Lord Hei switch channel every five seconds, and each channel, whether itʼs a news report or an entertainment channel, will show the same material. Everyone couldnʼt help but once again look at the dumbfounded God of Void.

Ye Xiajie said, ”B-Baby, calm down.”

The God of Destruction turned around for a second time and beat up his husband. After doing the deed, he used teleportation and disappeared on the spot, leaving the General with a black eye. Everyone was sniggering to laugh behind his back. Be glares at them, and they take off, wanting to avoid the man who is about to explode in anger.

”Who the hell is spreading this stupid rumor!? Iʼm going to kill you!” shouted the General, who was beaten by his wife.
