I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1615 22.2 Third Red Star - Something in the water.

One of the aboriginal humans was injured by glass shards from the aquarium that suddenly exploded, causing chaos in the area. While peeking through the slit of his clamshell, Hei Anjing noticed that the room they were in was something close to a laboratory. This can mean he is currently a mermaid considered an experimental subject.

One human had his face stabbed by glass shards and was squirming on the ground while covered. By the time the other humans had arrived, they saw the scene inside the laboratory, and the one they checked first was the aquarium instead of the injured human.

A man in a white robe said, ”Get another aquarium! The little mermaids will die with less water at such a young age! Who the hell destroyed the nest of these little mermaids?!”

AGHHH~

The man whose face was covered in shards was wailing and incurred the attention of the man who looked like the head of this place. He looked down on the injured human with an expressionless face and kicked him once.

Argh!

The man in a white robe said, ”Useless thing! Do you want the Sea God to notice that our human race stole some of its eggs and fertilized them on our own! Donʼt you know how important these little guys are? They are mermaids! They can soothe a humanʼs spiritual domain. They cost a lot of money each!”

”It... It wasnʼt... me... P-Professor!” said the man lying on the ground.

Hmp!

The man in the white robe called the professor and said, ”Take him away! Also, bring me the recording of what happened today.”

”Yes, Professor!”

The other men who came with this professor carried the injured man towards the clinic, and the other brought over the recording of what happened to this place a few hours ago. Unfortunately for them, Zhi Yue deleted the video of what truly happened and replaced it with another edited video. It was done so the others would believe the video they would be seeing was real.

In the video, they only saw some little mermaids playing around inside the aquarium when suddenly they felt someoneʼs presence and started hiding.

At the next moment, a man stood in front of the aquarium, staring at it as if trying to find a little mermaid within the glass walls. He was so close to the glass wall when suddenly the aquarium exploded on the manʼs face out of nowhere.

It was caused by a huge rock crab no one noticed blending on the sands and rock formation of the aquarium. It hit the glass wall with a huge force, making it explode on the humanʼs face peeking in the aquarium.

The sound of the man screaming was heard next, and the aquarium with a broken glass wall was also shown in the video. The man called Professor was enraged.

He shouted, ”Find that damn rock crab for me!”

However, no matter how much people looked for the crab, it was done. No one knows if it has left safely or is still hiding somewhere. As for the broken aquarium, the little mermaids hiding in their clamshells were all transported to a new one.

”Master, the transport of the little mermaids in a new aquarium has been done. Are we finally going to sell them?” A man who seemed to be a student of this professor asked the man whose face got disfigured from the explosion.

The professor said, ”Of course! The invitation had been brought out. All the invited nobles and military will come for a little mermaid of their choice. Even if the treaty between humans and sea monsters has been broken and catching weak sea monsters is forbidden, artificial little mermaids capable of healing are still accepted by everyone. After all, who doesnʼt want to have a thing that can cleanse oneʼs spiritual domain?”

”But sir, didnʼt the Sea God announce that any place found mistreating any sea species will receive divine punishment from it?” A guard asked.

The professor responded, ”Thatʼs why this artificial mermaid project was done in secret. Moreover, even if they are called little mermaids, these little guys are completely different from the real ones. They canʼt morph into a human-sized one or even turn into a human temporarily. They will remain pocket, and the only thing they can do is to sing.”

”Anyway, the guests are about to arrive. Prepare everything!” The professor said.

Meanwhile, their whole conversation was recorded by the invisible Zhi Yue. A video streaming system window appeared in front of Hei Anjing, who was hiding in his clamshell.

Inside the clamshell, the God of Destruction mumbles, ”Artificially made little mermaids. However, to create one, this means they had used the raw material of a real mermaid. Humans truly love to seek death.”

---

Ocean floor. At the deepest trench in the ocean, a huge black dragon was chained under this cliff. It was now asleep without caring for the metal nails embedded in its flesh, which was continuously bleeding.

Its eyes were closed as if asleep. If not for its breathing, one would think that it was dead. It suddenly opened its eyes, revealing a tint of crimson. It only looked at the bright sky above the trench and then once again closed its eyes and fell asleep.

---

Somewhere within human land...

Chief Warden Lou Wuye opened his eyes and saw himself lying in a bathroom. Before he opened his eyes, he saw a vision of himself swimming in the ocean. He can even feel the water on its body and seems to be locked away somewhere. Suddenly, he woke up and saw himself as a human taking a bath.

He stood up from the slightly cold, water-filled bathtub and grabbed a towel to dry himself, then finally checked his appearance in the mirror. Black hair and violet-colored irises, the features of maturity, and a handsome face devoid of expression appeared in the mirror. This is the Chief Wardenʼs real face.

Lou Wuye looked around and wore his clothes. After coming out of the bathroom, he looked around the place and noticed a military uniform hanging in the wardrobe. He couldnʼt understand anything and could only check with his subsystem what was happening around him.

The chief warden woke up his subsystem.

”Subsystem, check what is happening. Why did I wake up in this place with my real body and check if you can contact someone among the group?” said Lou Wuye, who sat on the nearby couch.

The sound of something rebooting and a robotic voice were heard from within his thoughts.

[Ding! Subsystem X is online]

Hmp!

All of a sudden, the god of this world noticed the presence of a weak system prying in its world. With the pressure that comes from its scream, the subsystem was forcibly taken out of the world database, and its connection to it was cut off.

Chief Warden closed his eyes and said, ”Transfer Approved.”

{Broken bits of information were passed in the head of Lou Wuye. He saw the treaty between the sea monster and humans broken because the humans had killed the mermaid king, which enraged the sea god.

The forbidden capture of anything from the seas, or else the Sea God will attack the land once more. All outsiders, like world hoppers, will be thrown to the sea and live with the humans. Except for the powerful ones, whose souls will split into two parts that live in the ocean.

Those whose soul was split cannot leave the world unless their soul merged. They will be trapped in this world forever until the world is destroyed.}

The Chief Warden opened his eyes and mumbled, ”Split soul. One human and one sea monster. No wonder before I wake up in my human body my senses are in the sea and when I wake up I will become human.”

Lou Wuye was thinking about what to do next when he heard the sound of water being flipped. His eyes narrowed as he sensed another presence in the room. He stood up and walked towards the sound without any sounds from his footsteps.

Until he reached a room with a huge pool and saw a huge fishtail flicking within the pool. A shade of emerald light flashes before his eyes.

Splash~ splash~

The chief warden walked towards the pool fearlessly, and suddenly, the moment he stood near the pool, the sound of water flapping halted. Only silence spreads in the pool room.

Lou Wuye stares at the pool, which looks dark due to the lack of light. His eyes glow with violet shade, making them visible even in the darkness. The pool area isnʼt fully enclosed. The part of the ceiling was made of glass, allowing one to see the sky above.

It was now evening and the sky, which was devoid of stars, flashed with a bit of moonlight peeking through the glass. Just as the chief warden saw what creature was hiding in his pool. A huge emerald-colored fishtail came out of the pool near his feet and dragged him into the water. The sound of something heavy falling into the water was heard.

FLOP!
