I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1616 22.3 Third Red Star - Main City Hospital

The chief warden was pulled into the pool of water. He didnʼt fight back when his ankle was caught by something slippery, as he wanted to see who dared to sneak into his house and pull him into the water. He remained calm as he opened his eyes underwater. The pool was dark and devoid of light except for some moonlight falling from the evening sky.

He could feel a presence swimming around him, but it was a bit too fast for him to catch his gaze. But the moment a flash of emerald appeared in front of him, he immediately stretched his hand and captured it.

Within his hand is a slippery feeling, the same sense of touch when holding on to a fish. He pulled it out of the water as he himself also jumped out and threw it toward the sky.

As the moonlight fell on the creatureʼs appearance, the chief warden was stunned. Thatʼs a face that is always in his dreams—the appearance that he always yearns for. The face of his beloved, Yun Ming. The only difference is that this is not a human but a half-fish, half-human one. The one who was called a mermaid.

The naked upper body of his beloved was exposed, with his wavy, long, dark brown hair flowing on his front and back. A pair of fin ears and a few scales on his cheeks.

The chief warden was mesmerized and forgot to call his lover. The emerald-tailed mermaid twisted his waist and gave the rude man who pulled him out of the pool a powerful tail whip to his face. He couldnʼt see the latterʼs face and went for the kill.

ʼShit!ʼ The chief warden raised his arm to block the incoming and was slammed to the wall of the pool room.

Warden Yun Ming, on the other hand, was still adjusting to his mermaid body. He first wakes up inside a clamshell which is only slightly bigger than an adult humanʼs hand. When he saw his reflection and realized that he had become a little mermaid the size of a pocket watch with his real appearance he was stunned for a moment, then finally recalled that this world had no main characters, just beings that existed before the disaster.

He was looking around and found no other way to get out of the big aquarium. Plus, as a little mermaid, he must keep his tail wet or he will dry up. Since he had nothing to do, Warden Yun Ming meditated and checked his body. He can feel that half of his soul is missing and that his divinity is sealed as well.

He tried poking at his divinity and suddenly his little mermaidʼs body had grown. The little aquarium becomes too small for him. Thankfully, his main element was water, and saw a pool not far from him.

After controlling the water to remove him inside this aquarium, he was brought to the pool and was swimming around happily when he noticed a presence that arrived in the living room. The pool area is close to this receiving area.

There was no light in the pool area and I saw a figure coming closer to itself. Just as this figure stood a foot away from the pool, Warden Yun Ming took this chance and pulled the man into the water. It can be said that for mermaids, water is their domain.

Yun Ming did expect this person to be able to grab his tail despite his speed. It seems this man is no ordinary person. Moreover, he feels that his qi was leaning a bit toward this person as if he had some kind of spiritual connection. Before he could react after being caught, he was pulled out of the pool by force.

These actions angered Warden Yun Ming, who struggled to break free from the hold. Once his tail was free, he chose to give this person a huge slap with his tail. In that split second, moonlight hit the manʼs face, and Yun Ming was surprised; it was the face of his lover, Lou Wuye. However, it was too late to stop his tail, plus he was in midair.

Warden Yun Ming shouted, ”AʼWu! Block it!”

The Chief Warden blocked the fierce mermaid tail coming for him, and he hit the wall of the pool area. Before he directly hits the wall, a thin veil of water protects his back, and a loud sound of something falling back into the water is heard.

Splash!

Urgh~

Despite the slight dizziness in his head, Chief Warden Lou Wuye immediately runs back to the pool to check on his lover. He heard him falling with such an impact and was worried about him.

Lou Wuye shouted, ”Mingʼer! Are you alright?”

The mermaid with an emerald-colored fishtail surfaced from the pool to the edge and met Lou Wuyeʼs eyes.

”AʼWu!” Warden Yun calls.

Yun Mingʼs features become even more delicate due to his race being a mermaid. He reached out his arms, wanting to hug his loverʼs neck. Lou Wuye pulled him over and hugged him beside the pool, keeping his tail inside to prevent dehydration.

The two lovers hug each other until they calm down.

Lou Wuye asked, ”Sweetheart, why did you become a fish?”

”I donʼt know. When I opened my eyes, I was a little mermaid. Thankfully, this is your home. I would have killed my owner if he was some kind of scumbag. However, Iʼve checked my identity with the subsystem even though it was blocked at the last moment, and Iʼve learned a few things. I am an artificial mermaid born from the genes extracted from a mermaid egg,” said Warden Yun Ming.

Chief Warden Lou Wuye asked, ”Can you turn human?”

Warden Yun Ming tried, but the energy in his body wasnʼt enough to do it.

He said to his lover, ”For now, it is not possible. However, if I gather enough energy, I might be able to do so in the future. Even my current size is temporary.”

”That means I have to sleep in the pool area with you for now. Until then I will investigate outside on my own. You can research things on the star web at home. Just donʼt hack into their system for too long. I donʼt know if the being that blocked our subsystemʼs contact to the world database had his clutches in the star web itself,” said the Chief Warden.

Warden Yun Ming asked, ”What is your role in this world?”

Recalling the uniform in his wardrobe, Lou Wuye answered, ”I might be a soldier in this world.”

Ring~

The Chief Wardenʼs terminal was ringing. Clearly, someone was trying to call him. Seeing this, Yun Ming moves away from the line of sight where the camera will be seen and falls back into the pool.

Seeing this, Lou Wuye accepted the call request and saw other soldiers like himself.

[Colonel, the general had fainted again. His spiritual domainʼs damage had spread. We need to find him a mermaid that fits him before he completely loses consciousness.]

The chief warden asked, ”Where are you right now?”

[Main City Hospital]

Lou Wuye said, ”Iʼm coming over. Until then, donʼt spread the fact that the general had fainted. Try to keep him awake if possible.”

[Yes, Colonel!]

The call ended when the conversation between Lou Wuye and the Lieutenant was finished. As the call was done, Chief Warden Lou Wuye looked at his lover.

Lou Wuye asked, ”Sweetheart, do you think itʼs possible for you to turn into a small human instead?”

”I will try,” Yun Ming said.

An hour later, Colonel Lou had left his house wearing a coat with a huge chest pocket. Inside the pocket is a miniature version of Warden Yun Ming with a small pair of legs. The two rode a hover car and headed to the Main City Hospital.

The main city hospital was in a secret lockdown. Though theyʼre arenʼt any military personnel in uniforms, there are military men in civilian clothing spread all over the hospital and silently protect the area where the general is.

As soon as Colonel Lou Wuye arrived at the VIP area, the two soldiers outside saluted him.

”Sir Colonel!”

”Hm. Good work,” said Lou Wuye as he entered the VIP room after it was opened by them.

Inside the VIP room, Lou Wuye and Yun Ming immediately recognize the general bedridden on the bed. Even though the generalʼs eyes were closed, his handsome features were enough to tell who it was.

Lou Wuye mumbles, ”As expected, itʼs the lord.”

A soldier who called for him before saluted, ”Colonel Lou, the general hasnʼt woken up after fainting, but the machines say it wasnʼt a deep sleep but a shallow one. However, for some reason, he doesnʼt wake up. The doctor says that his injured spiritual domain might be the cause.”

”Also, there are three illegal little mermaid auctions we have found. Do we need to sneak in and save the little mermaids?”

”Standby for now. I will try to wake up the general. Until they remain on standby,” Colonel Lou Ye ordered.

The soldier saluted and said, ”Yes, Sir Colonel! I will inform the others. Please excuse me!”

Lou Wuye commanded the subsystem in his mind, ʼTurned off all surveillance cameras and tools in this room, subsystem.ʼ

Subsystem X responded, [All cameras and surveillance tools had been deactivated, host!]
