I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1638 - 22.25 Third Red Star - Crowned

With the unknown things happening in the sea going on. The gathering in the royal palace is about to end. Before the General and the rest left, the God of Destruction gave something to his friend and his friend’s lovers. It’s a temporary insignia of his power. However, unlike the usual black snowflake, he usually uses its silver this time.

Hei Anjing said, ”I gave you my temporary blessing. Even if you fall into the sea, the ice elements will protect you. However, if you are in danger, do not hesitate to leave this small star. Regardless of the results of your mission, I will check it upon our return to Vearth. Your safety is the most important.”

”I will listen to Jingjing!” said the Crown Prince Nokto. The two royal knights beside him also promised to keep his words in mind.

The God of Destruction whispers, ”With my blessing, he will hesitate to devour you.”

Almost everyone hears his words, but only Greene and Zhi Yue openly ask him to say it again, as they seem to have not heard it at all.

”Lord Hei, can you please say that again?” Zhi Yue said.

Greene said, ”Jingjing, did you just say something?”

”I didn’t. Just be careful. Also, take this. Use it when your life is in danger,” said Hei Anjing as he threw a scroll to them.

It’s a shield scroll that was made from the divinity of Hei Anjing and Ye Xiajie. With their combined powers, this scroll can block an ancient god’s attacks for half an hour.

No one no longer asks Hei Anjing why he kept on giving life protective measures to Greene and his two husbands. However, they are fools not to notice the worry in his eyes and how he couldn’t explain anything to them. Even so, they kept his words to heart. Receiving these things from Hei Anjing means that they are important to him as well.

The crown prince looked at the scroll with serious eyes and said, ”Alright. I will remember everything.”

”Go see us in the military headquarters or the general’s mansion any time. Though it might be hard with your current standing, you can sneak in with this ID.”

The chief warden gave them a special ID pass. Showing it to the guards in the general’s mansion or at the gates of the military headquarters, they will be allowed to enter. After all, this is an identification with the general’s insignia.

Yun Ming added, ”If you need it, don’t hesitate to tell us.”

Before the general and his group take their leave, Hei Anjing and Yun Ming return to their little mermaid forms and once again hide in the breast pockets of their lover’s clothes. They didn’t use the normal path to leave and used teleportation.

The general and the royal family are opposing factions. If someone from the royal family saw that the crown prince had connections to the military, the authority this royal clan had would end in chaos. In the first place, the Siegfred Clan will never accept the military, as they are the reason they can never lead the federation.

They will definitely condemn the crown prince if they see him having connections with the military and will do everything in their power to remove him from his crown.

After seeing the group led by the general disappear on the spot, the crown prince, Nokto, and his two royal knights, Xion and Wolfred, returned to their palace to rest. Unknown to them that the king had received the news of this banquet from a secret, they would have never expected to betray them.

It’s the eunuch who was guarding the crown prince’s palace just now.

Throne Hall

”Your Majesty, General Ye had come out from the Crown Prince’s Mansion. As for how they left, this servant didn’t see how,” said the eunuch.

”I see. You may retreat.”

The king showed no surprise about this. His oldest son had always been a mystery. His elf wife will always tell him that their son is a unique soul. He is someone who cannot stay in this world for so long.

She asked him to protect their son, and during the last moment of her life, she gave him something to extend his life and allowed him to live a bit longer so he could protect their son until he could finally stand up on his own two feet.

For some reason, recalling what his wife had said, the king showed a rare, gentle smile as if reminiscing about the woman he loved the most.

”I guess it’s time to give Nokto the crown, and I can finally see my wife,” mumbled the current king of the royal clan.

---

A month later, the king announced that he would inherit the throne from him. The name of the crown prince was announced, and everyone was caught off guard, including the crown prince himself.

A stunned crown prince appeared in the throne hall. His royal father was looking at him with a rare, gentle smile. Even though the soul in this vessel’s body is no longer the original. The lingering emotions made Greene a bit uncomfortable.

’What is this? Where am I? Why is this happening!?’ Crown Prince Nokto’s thoughts at this moment.

At the throne hall, his father was smiling at him, who was stunned.

Chuckles~

The king pats his son’s back and whispers, ”Son, don’t you know that in the royal clan, only the king is allowed to go to the military headquarters without any permission? This is something both factions had decided. Like how the general was able to enter the royal palace to meet you that day.”

The Crown Prince Nokto was startled as he looked at the king, who was enjoying the changes on his face.

”Royal Father, I...”

Shss~

The king said, ”Let’s talk later. Complete your ascension ceremony first.”

The ceremony of Crown Prince Nokto’s accession to the throne was shown to everyone in the federation. At this time, even Colonel Lou appeared as the representative of the military. Lieutenant Shaka was also with him. They sent the gift of the general to the new king.

Nokto’s ascension to the throne had been processed well. Except for the Second Queen and her faction not being informed ahead of time, the other noble families had accepted the crown prince rising to another position. After all, they knew the secret of the king’s bloodline.

The king is just an ordinary person, and the reason he can keep his youth is because of his deceased first queen’s medicine. Before the first queen, the only living elf, died, she had given the king, who was already in his late fifties at that time, a miracle pill that was able to extend his life for another decade. This is so he can watch their son, Nokto, grow into the mature man he is right now.

That was the one and only wish of the deceased Elven queen, and the king was willing to fulfill it for his beloved. However, this miracle pill had some downsides. After a decade has passed, the one who ate it will die. This death is not simple. It’s the same feeling as if your life was escaping from your body until, finally, you take your last breath.

The king had already felt his life energy escaping his body a month ago. Because of this, except for the fact that his face remained youthful, his body is almost hollow from the inside. That’s why none of the nobles from the king’s side stopped their king when he said that it was time to give him the throne.

According to the rules of the royal family, only the firstborn son of each generation can ascend to the throne. There are also special circumstances when there is no one from the main lineage to ascend. The royal family will give up their authority to the military.

The military then will find another clan or family to rebuild the royal clan. That’s why the Siegfred Clan will never be able to become a royal clan without the permission of the military. It was also for this reason that they were so rebellious and tried to kill the crown prince multiple times.

At the Siegfred Clan’s Mansion.

The second queen was about to go insane with the livestream of the crown prince’s ascension and started destroying things in the room.

”How can that damn old thing do this to me!?”

”Is my son not his blood as well!? How can he choose that damn inhuman queen’s son instead of mine!?”

”Once that little bastard sat on the throne, my Siegfred Clan wouldn’t have any more chance to ascend as a royal clan!?”

”I tried to kill him many times but failed! The world is against me!”

As for the second prince, his family had created a drug that could extend the calming effect the former crown prince’s ability had done to him.

The medicine his clan had created was useful. However, there are huge side effects of this medicine. It is not only restricting his mania but also his restrictions and emotions. He had become an emotion-deficient person.

The second prince commented as he looked at his mother with an emotionless gaze. Ever since he drank that potion that was said to cure his mania, his heart had cleared up as if everything he usually knew and felt was gone. He is now full of indifference.

”If you hadn’t coveted the throne, I wouldn’t have ended up this way, mother.”

In the ears of the second queen, the emotionless voice, that face devoid of feeling, as well as those empty eyes of his son, was her sin. She couldn’t even look at him directly, making her look down and avoiding her son’s gaze. Unknown to him, such actions just lead to the second prince being even more unsympathetic towards her and this clan.
