I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1629 22.16 Third Red Star - Invitation

The second princeʼs banquet had a gloomy atmosphere compared to a normal banquet. First, the nobles who were called over had no choice but to come to this party. After all, their families and clans sided with the faction of the second prince and the first princess.

The dinner was so heavy that the guests could hardly eat properly. However, in the eyes of the second prince, the careful actions and silence of the guests reflected a submissive demeanor toward himself, and he liked it a lot. He is quite a narcissistic person who likes to look down on those under him.

”Itʼs good that everyone has arrived today. There is something I need you to do.”

”Find me a way to summon the little mermaid king. I need to meet him myself. You should be able to think of a way, right?”

”You wonʼt be so useless that you donʼt even know how to do such a thing? At least I believe that I donʼt have someone stupid as a subordinate.”

Some of these noble young masters were there with him during that auction that night. They saw the appearance of the mermaid king and heard the warning in his words. Thus, it wonʼt be hard for them to understand what the second prince is trying to say.

However, most of them love and respect their little mermaid. There are even some who treat their mermaids as family. But they canʼt openly revoke the evil plan the second prince is indirectly commanding them to do. So, they can only shut their mouth and pretend to listen when in reality all the words of the second prince enter their right ears only for them to come out on their left ears.

The thoughts of the guests in the area

ʼDid the second prince go insane? Why is he indirectly commanding us to harm our own little mermaids!?ʼ

ʼCanʼt he do it on his own? Ah, right. How can he do it? The mermaid king threatened them with their lives if they ignored his warnings.ʼ

ʼOf course, there is no way that the second prince will do anything against the threat of the mermaid king. After all, it was he who wanted to meet him.ʼ

ʼThis prince not only sees the little mermaids as tools but also us, descendants of the families that served the second queen.ʼ

ʼIs he insane!? How can he ask us to torture our own mermaids just so he can forcibly summon the missing mermaid king.ʼ

But it cannot deny the fact that there are some people among the group who are indeed loyal to the second prince. The type that is loyal to this evil man and is voluntary to follow all his evil plans.

”Your Highness, leave it to me! My clan has received the little mermaids from your side and will definitely do as you command.”

”Hmm? Did I give you a command?” said the second prince. This is obviously a warning for the young master to take back his words about him giving commands to the little mermaids.

The young master caught up immediately and took back his words, ”Oh, of course not. Your Highness hasnʼt given me a command. I am just annoyed by how useless the stupid fish at home is and how it needs to be punished for his foolishness.”

A meaningful smile appeared on the second princeʼs face, which was immediately covered up by an intentional frown and worry on his face.

He said to the young master, ”This young master should know about the warnings from the mermaid king. His words donʼt seem like a joke.”

Snorts~

The young master declares, ”Who the hell is afraid of a talking fish!? Those little mermaids should know their place and just serve their masters. Singing a whole day must be a must! Or else whatʼs the point of buying such a tool?”

Upon achieving his goal, the second prince pretended to be angered by the young masterʼs words and instantly sent the guests away, pretending that he was annoyed by the young masterʼs arrogance.

”Alright. My mood had worsened. Everyone can now take their leave and go to their own businesses,” said the Second Prince.

Everyone left the second princeʼs banquet after what Prince Rion wanted to do had been achieved. Though not every one of them did as he requested, at least there are some fools who are willing to sacrifice for his sake alone.

No one responded, and all took off after being permitted to leave. However, most of these young masters looked at the foolish young master who was chosen to sacrifice himself just so he could summon the mermaid king.

After most of the guests had left, the first princess approached her brother and asked, ”Brother, will that young master be able to summon the mermaid king?”

”He should be. The question is whether the mermaid king will appear or not,” said the second prince.

Meanwhile at the Generalʼs mansion...

The chief warden and Lieutenant Shaka had returned from work. The clean-up after the intruder had taken a while as there were many injured soldiers during the escape of the intruder, who killed the puppet of the general.

”Greetings to the General and the Mermaid King!” said Lieutenant Shaka.

Hei Anjing said, ”Welcome back. Shaka, you can go ahead and check on your little mermaid. He should be able to speak a few words now.”

”Please excuse me!”

Lieutenant Shaka showed a delighted look when he heard about this good news. He immediately saluted the couple for the second time and took his leave.

After Lieutenant Shaka had left, the Chief Warden started his report for the day.

”My Lord, Lord Hei, the intruder at the headquarters might be an outsider like us. He was using a teleportation scroll that can only be exchanged with points through the system mall.”

”The teleportation scroll had left traces of the Hei Clanʼs imprint as a maker. He is definitely an outsider,” the Chief Warden reported.

Ye Xiajie asked, ”Did you know where he had come from?”

The Chief Warden showed the imprint on the uniform he grabbed from the intruder before he completely disappeared. It was a royal imprint only a royal guard was allowed to wear.

Colonel Lou showed the imprint. ”This is something I took from him at the last moment. Itʼs a royal family insignia.”

”Whose insignia was it?” asked Ye Xiajie.

The Chief Warden responded as he had investigated everything before returning to the generalʼs mansion.

He said, ”Itʼs the Crown Princeʼs bearing.”

The God of Destruction commented while holding a banquet invitation from the crown prince himself. The insignia on the invitation is completely similar to the insignia the Chief Warden had shown to them.

”Oh~ this is quite interesting,” said Hei Anjing.

Ye Xiajie asked, ”Is Baby interested in meeting the Crown Prince? I can bring him over for you.”

”No need. Letʼs go meet him together instead,” said Hei Anjing. ”There is already an invitation. Itʼs a waste not to come.”

”Well, I will go with you,” said the God of Void.

With that, the couple decided to accept the invitation from the Crown Prince and attend his banquet as per the invitation shown.

The God of Destruction said, ”Letʼs forget something that had been decided. How is the situation in the headquarters? Have you cleaned up all the pests (spy)?”

”Yes, Lord Hei. Itʼs not that hard to find them among the crowd. That intruder was the last of them. However, he was only pointed out when he tried to touch the puppet of the general, and the staff thought the general was harmed, which led to the situation of him escaping,” said the Chief Warden.

The God of Void said, ”Are those fools trying to check whether I am truly awake or not? Maybe I should make a declaration and appear before them.”

”That can wait, my love. We must check the crown prince first. After all, I had a feeling that he might not be the only world hopper in this world. It would be alright if itʼs only an ordinary world hopper; it would be annoying to have world destroyers in this kind of world where remnant resentment souls of Ancient Gods exist,” said Hei Anjing.

Ye Xiajie frowned when he heard that the resentment soul of an ancient god was mentioned. According to the memories returned to him by the Ancient God of Chaos, those kinds of souls are deadly even for high-ranked gods like themselves.

After all, the primordial souls of ancient gods are the hardest to defeat. Those things cannot be easily defeated by divinity alone. You need a fire that can purify oneʼs soul until there is nothing left behind, especially for evil souls from the origin of chaos itself.

This is also the reason why the World Eater had stolen the God of Voidʼs vessel. He cannot fight those things without a vessel, or he will be devoured by them. Those things target anything born from the chaos, especially those connected to the Ancient God of Chaos himself. Only by eating something from the chaos they can regain their previous memories and strength before their deaths.

With a frown on the God of Voidʼs face, he asked, ”Doesnʼt that make you a target as well, Baby? After all, you have connections to Hunluan.”

”I do not need to worry. After all, you will protect me, wonʼt you, my love?” said the God of Destruction.

Ye Xiajie hugs his wife and declares, ”As long as I exist, nothing can harm you ever again, Jingʼer.”
