I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1634 22.21 Third Red Star - Royal Familyʼs Sin

After not being able to receive treatment from a little mermaid for a week, the second prince, who was burdened with stress and anger, had finally lost it. Normally, only ordinary people with no means to buy a little mermaid and who were born with strong mental capabilities will suffer from this kind of effect.

Born from a royal family, the second prince had his own responsibilities and ambitions. Beating the crown prince and taking his role as the future king had always been Prince Rio!ʼs obsession. Because of this, he is willing to do everything to achieve his goals, and even if he does something against morals, the second prince is willing to do so.

In the first princessʼs house, the second prince had finally gone mad. He tried to reach out to the little mermaid nearest him but was kicked away by the owner with a cold look.

Thud!

The first princess screamed, ”Ah! Do you know what you are doing?”

Even though the husband of the princess is from a scholarly family, his cousin is from the military and quite powerful himself. If not for the brotherhood between cousins, this soldier wouldnʼt even come to this place and meet the bastard who wanted to target little mermaids just for his own greed.

The soldier said, ”Princess, he is in mania and not in the right mind. He will kill a fragile being like a little mermaid in his state.”

”So what if he did? Isnʼt it just a stupid fish?!” retorted Princess Rose.

At her words, her husband and the soldier turn dark. Clearly, her words offended them, especially the little mermaidʼs owner.

The soldier retorted, ”For him not to have any little mermaids curing him serves him, right? The princess herself is not a good person. Brother, Iʼm leaving. I will call the guard to help you restrain the second prince.”

”Stay where you are. Leave the little mermaid behind. This is an order from the first princess!”

The first princess felt belittled and tried to use her authority as royalty towards the soldier. Itʼs just that she had forgotten that the real power in this country is the military.

The soldier glares at her, making her flinch. Her husband had to slap her away to stop her from talking any more nonsense.

Slap!

”Rose, thatʼs enough from you!” said her husband.

”Husband?”

The first princess might be spoiled, but she loves her husband the most. Getting slapped for the first time by her beloved made her terrified. After all, there is no love between the two of them. Her husband married her because the royal family threatened his family, so he gave in.

In reality, the first princess is not that bad, but because of the influence of her queen mother and her second brother, she becomes quite crooked with her ways.

”Rose, you cannot force something not possible. Not everything will bow down to authority like I did,” the Princessʼs Lord Consort said.

The first princessʼs face turned pale at these words. This is like a warning to her ears. After all, the first time she used authority to get what she wanted was when she forced this man to marry him. What can she do? She truly loves him and wants him to remain by her side.

She had used her fatherʼs power to bring the man she loves down to his knees and ask him to marry her in exchange for not harming his family. Thatʼs the day she got what she only wanted in life and also her greatest guilt.

As expected, the words of her husband were enough to calm her down. Not long after, the guards of the princessʼs palace had captured the second prince and placed him somewhere for restrictions. A madman suffering from mental pollution took a while to calm down. There are even cases of them becoming crazy for real.

As expected, this news reached the ears of the king, and the second queen pleaded with the king with crying eyes. She was begging him to save the second prince, her son. However, even though the king is from the royal family, it is impossible for him to change the decree made by the mermaid king. That was outside his authority.

In the throne hall, the second queen was crying her eyes out while being supported by her servants. She called for the first princess. However, after what happened at home, Princess Rose was afraid of angering her husband further and chose to ignore her motherʼs summons.

The king looked annoyed as the second queen cried, asking for the second prince. However, he had already heard the details of the situation from his eldest son and was greatly disappointed by how stupid his second son was. How can he do something only to get caught and get his reputation completely destroyed?

The Second Queen pleaded, ”Your Majesty, please save our son! He is still too young. You canʼt let him become crazy!”

Sigh~

A deep sigh full of disappointment resounds in the throne hall, and the king couldnʼt help but stare at the second queen acting so dramatically that she was crying as she sat on the floor, wiping her tears with a handkerchief.

The king said, ”This king is helpless as well. The one who had signed the treaty with the sea monsters was the general. It wasnʼt something that involved the royal family. If you want the little mermaids to cure the second prince, ask the general for help.”

The second queen faction hated the military the most, as they were the ones preventing the royal family from becoming a power in the federation. On the other hand, the current king and the crown prince signed a freedom treaty. They are free to wield the power of royalty. However, the power is still with the military. They are not to get involved with the problems of the water region.

The king knew that the second queen would not agree to bowing their heads to the military. But she noticed that the crown prince and his twin knights had arrived at the throne hall.

Crown Prince Nokto saluted the king with Royal Knight Wolfred and Royal Knight Xion.

”Royal Father, you have summoned me?” asked Crown Prince Nokto.

The king looked delighted as his favorite son arrived and even went down from his throne just to see his son closer.

”My dear son, forgive your royal father for suddenly calling you over. Itʼs just youʼve heard about what happened to your second brother, right?”

”Royal Father, I had warned Rion many times not to step in the boundaries of the sea laws. It was his fault what was happening to him right now. How dare she harm the little mermaids? Those guys are originally from the sea,” said the crown prince.

The second queen lost her cool. Like her son, her temper was never good. This short fuse runs in their bloodline.

”Nonsense! Those little fishes are artificially made! They are born in laboratories on land. How come the laws of the seas include them?” The second queen stated.

The crown prince knew the connection of the mermaid laboratories to the family of the second queenʼs clan. It was them who used the little mermaids as the main source of income for their clan. It was also for this reason that the current king married the second queen after the death of the first queen.

The royal family wanted to have a share of the business that involved the little mermaids.

Crown Prince Nokto retorted, ”I beg your pardon, Second Queen. But the origin of the genes of those artificial mermaids was taken from the stolen mermaid your clan got from the sea clan. If not for the fact that the royal family had signed a confidentiality contract, such actions would have caused war between the land and water region!”

This fact shut the second queen up. After all, this is a hidden fact that no one dares to talk about. This is the very sin the royal family wanted to bury. If the military learns about it, the royal clan will be exterminated as a result.

”Shut up! The royal clan had taken advantage of our clan because of this. If we are going down, so is the royal clan!” The second queen said with threats.

”Enough. Both of you! This is not the time to push blame and drag others down. If the royal family falls, all of us will be dragged to hell. Do you wish to see that happen?”

The king could no longer listen to this verbal fight. Both factions of the royal family are pointing fingers at one another. But the fact that they are on the same boat cannot be ignored; thatʼs why the king called his crown prince over. Because if there is someone who can cure mania, it can only be his eldest son who received the blessing of the land.

The crown prince and the second queen closed their mouths and stopped the fight. Obviously, Crown Prince Nokto knew why he was summoned here.

Crown Prince Nokto said, ”Give me the original mermaid egg you took from the sea. In exchange, I will cure your son. It doesnʼt matter if you give me a dead mermaid egg, right? After all, you had cultivated a whole bunch of it, though artificially made.”

”Nonsense! Even though itʼs a dead egg, it cannot be given away so easily. Thatʼs the source of our clanʼs wealth!” The second queen said.

The crown prince shrugs his shoulders and says, ”Then lose your only heir. Maybe the sea had cursed your clan. Only the second prince was born male, and the rest of your descendants are females who couldnʼt even continue your bloodline.”

”You are the one who is cursed! Your mother is not even human!” The second queen shouted.

The current king exclaims, ”Rosena von Siegfried!” His voice was full of warning and anger.
