I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1618 22.5 Third Red Star - Sealed Clamshells

”500... 500... 500 Billion!!!” The guide screamed, and it even echoed badly inside the elevator.

The Chief Warden remained calm even after hearing such a scream. The guide was trembling as he raised his head to meet the Colonelʼs eyes. Unlike the disdainful gaze he had before, his eyes were now glowing at this moment, looking at the colonel as if he were a walking bank.

The guide lowered himself before the colonel and said, ”Oh my~ this servant is blind not to recognize a VIP customer. We will do our utmost best to provide the two esteemed guests with a personal room to rest during the whole auction.”

”Hm. Then we will leave it to you,” said Lieutenant Shaka.

The guide excused himself and went to the corner of the elevator, making a few calls. On the other hand, Lieutenant Shaka sneaks beside the Colonel and whispers something to him.

Lieutenant Shaka asked, ”Colonel, where did you get such a large amount of money? I never knew you were also from a rich family.”

”I am not. This money is his (General). I just borrowed it for now. After all, it is his mermaid that we are going to buy for,” said Colonel Lou Wuye.

Lieutenant Shaka was startled. He didnʼt expect that Colonel Lou had access to the general private assets and was stunned for a moment. He, who suggested buying the little mermaid was an illegal action, was not accepted by the military. After all, he planned to buy a mermaid and give it to the General as a way to show his affection. Now such a plan might no longer be possible.

He mumbles, ”I should have asked someone else.”

However, since the current situation where the head is down and the need for the little mermaid is urgent, Colonel Lou agrees to his recommendation of buying a little mermaid for the general.

The Chief Warden observed Lieutenant Shaka. Likewise, Yun Ming was secretly doing it as well. The couple can only converse using divine consciousness due to the situation where they canʼt openly talk to one another.

In their thoughts:

Lou Wuye: What do you think, Mingʼer?

Yun Ming: He seems to want to do something and most likely is trying to buy a mermaid to be given to the general. It might be because he likes him or wants something from him. Either way, you canʼt let him find his master and buy him for the Lord.

The Chief Warden, Lou Wuye, imagines a scene where he was bought by someone like Lieutenant Shaka and was given to the General, who is Lord Ye, as a sign of showing his love. Not only Lieutenant Shaka will die on the spot, but his milord will suffer as well.

Lou Wuye: Alright! We must find Lord Hei and Zhi Yue as soon as possible.

Ding!

The elevator finally reached the floor where the auction would be done. As soon as the elevator door slid open, Colonel Lou and Lieutenant Shaka were welcomed by a line of staff upon exiting.

”Welcome to the venue, esteemed VIP guests!”

Lieutenant Shaka is startled by this scene. However, the Colonel remains unperturbed by it.

The guide stepped in and said, ”Lords, we have prepared a room for you where you can stay during the whole auction. The location is near the stage, and you can see everything from that room.”

”Lead the way,” said Colonel Lou Wuye.

The guide and staff happily escorted the pair to a private room. Though there were lots of esteemed guests in the auction, only Colonel Lou and Lieutenant Shaka were given such special attention. The reason for this is simple: it is because of their exposed assets, which are more than a billion. A lot of eyes had fallen on them as well, including the hidden royal family prince and princess within the crowd of guests.

Within the crowd, First Princess Rosa and Second Prince Rion were together in one corner wearing their masks. However, despite their faces hiding just the fact that both of them had blond hair, which signifies the royal familyʼs bloodline, a lot of people already recognize them.

First Princess Rosa whispered, ”Brother, thatʼs a descendant of the Shaka Family, isnʼt he? That slick red hair of his is a family trait of the Shaka family. Will we be able to buy a mermaid with him here?”

”Donʼt worry. I will have a talk with him later. Even though the Shaka clan is wealthier than the royal family, they are still under the empire,” the second prince, Rion, said.

The royal family in the empire is just a figurehead. The one ruling the empire is the military, or, in short, the general. However, since he had recently disappeared, those hyenas started coming out of their places wanting to take control of the empire while the ruler was gone.

Among these groups is the Royal Family. They have been secretly amassing knights under their command and to keep them in line, they need a little mermaid to pacify them. After all, almost all warriors needed a little mermaid to remove the taint within their soul domains. The First Princess and the Second Prince wanted to buy a few little mermaids to sing to their royal knights.

Back to the private room where Colonel Lou Wuye and Lieutenant Shaka were sent, a small table of luxurious pastries and snacks was laid on it.

The guide said, ”If there is something you want to eat, please tell our staff right away!”

”Alright. You may go,” said Lieutenant Shaka.

As soon as the other staff left the private room, Lieutenant Shaka was about to remove his mask but was stopped by the colonel.

Colonel Lou Wuye said, ”Keep your mask on. Help me check if there is a listening device or hidden cameras in the room. Once we get surrounded and exposed we will be dead.”

Lieutenant Shaka nodded his head and started looking around. As expected, they found a few and destroyed them. The staff noticed what they had done but didnʼt react much. What they did is something in line with the situation, and as the people who arranged the place, they shouldnʼt have done such a thing.

Meanwhile, the staff apologized to them after the broken tools were exposed to them. The pair was given a discount as an apology for what unfolded in the private room.

The guide said, ”We apologize for what the other personnel had done. They wanted to see your faces and did such an unprofessional thing. Donʼt worry, they will be punished.”

”Leave now,” said Colonel Lou Wuye.

It is clear in his tone that his mood had gone bad from the initial impression. After Colonel Lou and Lieutenant Shaka entered the private room, the guides and other staff had gathered in one area. They were all collectively scolded by their boss.

”You told me you wouldnʼt be found out! Look what happened now!”

”Boss, Iʼve definitely hidden it somewhere ordinary people shouldnʼt know!”

”Are you a fool? None of our guests are ordinary! The young man beside him was already someone from the Shaka Clan.”

”Someone who can be accompanied by someone from the Shaka Clan is never simple.”

”A discount card had been given. However, will they even use it?”

”How many percent was it?”

”30%.”

”Tsk! That was our golden goose! I shouldnʼt have agreed to have their private room bugged. If they are offended and choose to not buy anything, it will be considered my fault.”

---

Meanwhile, before the auction began, a few scientists ran to their professorʼs room.

”Professor! Someone bad is happening!”

The professor who was waiting to rack the gold was surprised with what just happened.

”What the hell are you shouting about?” exclaimed the angry professor.

One of his disciples came running towards him and reported the bad news.

”Professor, the latest batch of mermaids from the broken aquarium before had locked themselves to their clamshells. It cannot be pried open at all!”

”What are you doing? Can you do something about an ordinary clam bed!?” The professor retorted.

The professor followed his disciple to the preparation room. On a long table, a few tightly closed clamshells were exposed to the eyes of the professor. He grabbed one and tried to open it with his bare hands. However, it was no use.

Only his old face turned red from trying; he tried the other clamshells as well but failed to open even one. In anger, the professor took a metal hammer from his disciples and hit the clam with all he had. Unfortunately, the impact of his hit had no effect. This clamshell is now even harder than a diamond. It was the hammer that flew instead of the clamshell.

ARGH!

The professor was crazy about this scene and shouted in annoyance. No matter what they do with the clamshell, nothing happens to it at all. They couldnʼt understand why that was happening and how things happened like this.

A disciple said, ”Maybe Senior Brother had frightened the little mermaids so much?”

”...so they closed themselves to their clamshell bed to hide?”

”How will they be able to eat though?”

Everyone stares at the clamshells and says the same thing. Will the little mermaids hiding inside be able to eat? The answer is yes. It was all thanks to Zhi Yue, who can freely control space. He will frequently throw in some seaweed, water, and food every day.

Their clamshell bed sealed like this wasnʼt done by the mermaids but by Hei Anjing instead. After learning that they would be auctioned tonight, he planned to escape altogether. The premise is that the little mermaids didnʼt want to be sold to hide in their shells, and they would be taken away by him.

Half of the little mermaids from the same aquarium as the God of Destruction agreed, while the other half wanted to find an owner for themselves. These were mermaids hypnotized by the humans that they would be given a house, a pool, and everything they wanted in exchange for their singing.

The professor was furious at this unsolvable situation.

”Professor, are we still going to auction these guys?”

”Auctioned them!” The professor said,

”B-But I donʼt think the guests will buy something unsure of whether there is a little mermaid inside the shell.”

The professor said, ”Prepare the ultrasound machine and use it live. As long as the shape of the mermaids is shown, it can be sold. As for whether the customer can pry it open, it depends on the buyer.” y Virtual Library Empire
