I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1299: 18.137 First Grey Star - Time is running out.

On the top floor of the Tower of God...

When the waves of monsters were finally vanquished, the night had finally grown silent. The third wave of monsters was solved more quickly than the previous two waves combined. The solution was found in just two nights, the second of which saw the Ye Family return. The third wave of monsters would probably endure longer than the preceding waves if the Ye Family had not arrived in the city tonight.

Giant-type monsters emerged from the space rifts for the first time at that point.

Tun Shizhe examined the hidden moon in the dusk sky this evening. Tonight there was no source of light because the moon was covered. It was only natural for him to notice his wifeʼs reappearance, given his connection to the God of Void. Given that the man had yearned to complete his soul the instant his wife gathered everything for him, he could be the God of Voidʼs fragmented soul.

This lonely god muttered in the darkness. {You keep on making him cry. Even so, his love for you is solely for you. Thatʼs why itʼs unfair to us whose origin is the same as yours. Half of us have already gone crazy, while you continue to live in happiness with him as you forget the sin we committed, we had gone crazy because we couldnʼt receive a single glance for him and ended up hurting him more.

Even though all of us are just the same and a single entity. Only you receive his smile. Isnʼt that arrogant of you? At the very least I wonʼt stop without fighting. If you can get his love, so we do.}

The night was silent and calm as it had been before. With a few exceptions, the majority of people have gone to sleep or rest.

Wang Xingmo and the Heavenly Guardians used the three months to rally as many people as they could and to inspire them to fight for their lives. All races on the land must strive to survive with the Calamity of the Land hanging over them. The godsʼ willingness to assist still relies on how they are feeling.

Ye Jieye appeared indifferent to the impending end of the world as he spent days with Mo Xuejing and his children. They engaged in games and relished the opportunity to spend time as a family. Mo Xuejing had already come to terms with the fact that his husband had to go back to his former body. His mood had been low lately as a result, and he began to drink more wine at night.

Ye Jieye was powerless to stop him, but none could.

Ye Jieye had to take his wife back to their chamber every evening since Mo Xuejing had sobbed that night. Mo Xuejing could not even go back to his own room since he would be inebriated the entire night. With empty bottles all across the living room, Mo Xuejing lay on the table with his eyes closed, appearing to be asleep despite a faint flush on his cheeks.

Seeing the living room littered with empty wine bottles, Ye Jieye couldnʼt help but sigh helplessly. He summoned the two systems in their humanoid forms.

”Zhi Yue, Zhi Yang, come out.”

”You called, Master (Lord God)!” Zhi Yue and Zhi Yang appeared in their human forms and saluted.

Ye Jieye said, ”Clean up the living room and disperse the scent of wine. Also investigate the movements of that man in the tower. There is no need to get too close. Just tell me what he has been doing these days.”

”Yes, Lord God.” Zhi Yang responded with a question.

Zhi Yue is different. He had a strong curiosity from the beginning. ”Master, that man in that tower. Why do I feel you and him are the same? But he is definitely not you. I donʼt know where this contradictory feeling is coming from.”

Ye Jieye was checking on Mo Xuejingʼs condition, so he took a while to respond to the small systemʼs questions. Apart from excessive alcohol consumption, the latter had simply dozed off and had no further consequences.

”He is a world eater fragment. But unlike the other world eater fragments that only know how to devour, that one was sentient and is no different from a god. He is dangerous for you, especially Zhi Yang. Because your source is me, he would definitely notice you. Just watch further than Zhi Yue,” Ye Jieye said.

The two systems exclaimed, ”A world-eating fragment!?”

Zhi Yue said, ”Why does the Master not kill him? He wouldnʼt definitely try to hurt Lord Hei like the ones in the former worlds!”

”Not him. He is different from the rest of the fragments. At least he wouldnʼt hurt Jingʼer, this Iʼm sure of. He might want to kill me instead. Either way, I need him to be alive. I will be away from Jingʼer after I leave this body.

He can protect Jingʼer while Iʼm away,” Ye Jieye said as he carefully carried Mo Xuejing in his arms. He walks out of the living room and climbs up the stairs to go to the masterʼs bedroom to rest.

After Ye Jieye left the first floor, Zhi Yue tugged Zhi Yangʼs sleeve with imprinted confusion on his face.

”AʼYang, what does Master mean? Do you understand what he is talking about?”

”I think he is saying that there is a connection between the world eater and the master,” Zhi Yang said.

Zhi Yue exclaimed, ”Impossible! The World Eater had been killed even before the Lord God was born as the God of Void. Itʼs impossible for them to have connections. Moreover, itʼs the End who created the Lord while the World Eater is created by the God of Chaos. There is no connection between the two.”

”I donʼt know. Thatʼs just how I perceived Masterʼs words just now. I might be wrong,” Zhi Yang said.

Zhi Yue said, ”Of course, youʼre wrong. There is no way itʼs correct. Because if your words are right, then doesnʼt that mean that Lord Hei and the Lord God were enemies who killed each other?”

The two systemsʼ masters had long since gone back to their chambers, while they were arguing over Ye Jieyeʼs remarks and tidying up the premises. Ye Jieye carried his wife back to the bed to sleep after giving him a bath to get rid of the last of the wine smell. Mo Xuejingʼs expressionless visage would only seem subdued and serene while he was asleep.

Mo Xuejing had been in the worst mood as he slept lately. Sometimes he would groan as if in tears. Ye Jieye felt bad for telling him about going back to the Dungeon because he looked so miserable.

Sigh~

Ye Jieye sighed, bringing down his body temperature with wet towels on his wifeʼs face. His sweetie prefers to sip on cool, sugary drinks rather than alcoholic ones. He hardly ever drinks wine. His favorite tea is milk tea, and he also enjoys frappes. He will only drink wine when he is feeling down, as though to block off the thoughts he can not figure out what to think about.

Mo Xuejing occasionally experienced tears falling on his cheeks while he slept, as though he was having a bad dream.

”Maybe I shouldnʼt have told you about it. In my eyes, you and Chaos are the same. You are both part of his soul. I canʼt bear to ignore one of each of you. Iʼm willing to accept all punishment after all your souls have merged, okay? Donʼt cry anymore.

Whenever I see you cry, I truly do not know what I must do,” Ye Jieye whispered as he held his wifeʼs hand, kissing his fingers and revering his very presence in his life.

Hei Anjing is a light in the darkness of this terrible godʼs existence. He was born into a world of nothing, so the light was something he had always desired but had never imagined possessing. He could no longer withstand the gloom on his own until someone like Hei Anjing entered his life as the only source of light.

If he lost this light, he feared he would be left in the dark and might go insane enough to wipe out everything.

Meanwhile, in the mansion under Chaosʼ name...

Chaos was staring up at a dark, empty sky. There was not even a moon to enjoy the scenery, nor stars to gaze upon. All that was left was an unending expanse of darkness. Nobody knows what he is thinking while sipping wine and staring out into space.

”Soon enough, I should be able to kill him with my own hands again. But why... Why do I feel reluctance to think that his figure would have to disappear even for a short while in this world? Am I sick again?” Chaos mumbled as he drank a full cup of red wine and served another for himself.

”It would be better if the main soul overtook Mo Xuejing and stopped me. I truly couldnʼt stop myself from hating that man. The memories of pain and agony in that dark world. The anticipation and expectations that were never fulfilled. Just remembering these scenes is enough to fill my heart with hate. How come there is a small part of it that wants to change?

I donʼt know what I want anymore.” Chaos mumbles.

Everyone had their own circumstances and thought that even so, the future would remain unchanged unless they made a difference that would reverse the destined fate.

By the time the third month of the interim peace arrived, the capital city had become the home of many fighters from every race. Some races identify as hermits, including dwarfs, elves, humans, and even beastmen. They were forced to come together in order to fight for what they believed to be vital due to the impending tragedy in the world.

They were welcomed to the city by Wang Xingmo. While occupied with their own duties, the Heavenly Guardians even called upon their subordinates to defend their future. Elderly hunters and fighters had also arrived. Some rendered immobile by chronic injuries made the decision to defend those outside the capital.

It would not be shocking if some monsters managed to get out of the city and start killing people.

Lu Wangle, Mu Zang, and Mo Xinyue stood in the distance, surveying the surroundings, while Wang Xingmo and the rest conversed with the other warriors. Even with foreigners coming over to play about with them, they wanted to maintain the stability of the city. In their capacity as the Heavenly Guardiansʼ delegates, Heavenly Guardians Xian Wu, Gu, and Sen were meeting with the other races.

Lu Wangle, the Heavenly Guardian, glanced around and noticed a small group of his clan members. The fathers all stayed to fight, even though the majority of them had sent their children out of town with their dads. The partners and children they send out will be in danger if they do not fight here. Even young men like Lu Ming and Lu Shang are the age of are willing to stay.

Only minor children were compelled to depart with their father.

The Mo, Gu, and Mu clans had the same outcome. The children must stay behind for the benefit of future generations so that even in the unlikely event that they are all forced to die in this city, their lineage will still be carried on by younger people.

Heavenly Guardian Lu Wangle mumbled, ”I know that Shang and Ming arenʼt back yet from their opportunities, but where is Xiao Ye? Has he sent his children away? My great-grandchildren are still babies.”

”Theyʼre at the mansion. I donʼt know what is happening, but... suddenly their whole family had come to territory. I heard Xiao Ye wanted to meet Lord Chaos. I donʼt know if Xueʼer wanted to return to his real body. If he does, then that means his full strength will return,” Heavenly Guardian Mo Xinyue said.

”Itʼs just that Xueʼerʼs expression doesnʼt feel right. Does he already know what Xiao Ye needs to do to return to his body?” He asked this question to his friend, Mu Zang.

Heavenly Guardian Mu Zang said, ”There is no other choice. Xiao Ye can only stop most monsters from the inside. Or else there will be nothing but tragedy waiting for us here.”

”Itʼs really hard to leave the fate of this world to our children. Itʼs just that we are already too old to stand in front and fight with them,” Heavenly Guardian Lu Wangle said.

Heavenly Guardian Mo Xinyue rolled his eyes at Lu Wangle. ”Are you saying that while looking like a teenager that is at least the same age as your grandsons? How shameless!”

”You two are the same as well,” Heavenly Guardian Lu Wangle retorted.

Heavenly Guardian Mu Zang snorted, ”This body of this age is the easiest to fight against numbers. We needed stamina in this war.”
