I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1282: 18.120 First Grey Star - Death of Cthulhu

The octopus in front of them only has two hearts, even though they are meant to have three. The others were a little perplexed when they discovered that they had actually only seen two. Why is there a heart missing?

Leica commented, ”There are truly only two hearts. Isnʼt it supposed to be three?”

”If it died after two hearts were destroyed, that means that one heart is long gone. There is no need to find it if it is dead,” Lu Shang said.

Ye Jieye said, ”They are taking so long that lunch has passed. I should cook a late lunch meal.”

”Isnʼt it just an octopus? They are taking too much time just to kill it,” Mo Xuejing complained. His lover passed a tumbler with a Java Chip Frappe for him. ”Thank you.”

Sips~

When a stone table and a few stone chairs arose in the vicinity, it was a mystery to everyone. Along with Leica and Lu Shang, Mo Xuejing sat down. Ye Jieye set up a makeshift kitchen there and got to work preparing some more snacks and drinks. The other three, on the other hand, keep watching the fun while holding snacks and drinks.

As the hunters engaged in combat and used battle formation to pin their prey in one place, Mo Xuejing made a comment. Additionally, they ensured that there would be no disputes with the region they were fighting in and helped each other out when things went hairy. Only Ye Jingxia and Ye Anxia were using their own methods to combat, among the others.

Even though they do not adhere to any formation, they are nonetheless quite strong. They may return their victim to its former location as long as it moves slightly with only a small amount of power.

Regarding Mo Yuhan, he made every effort to maintain the lines separating conflicts. Anything that crossed the ice he created in the course of his battle with the formidable foe, the Evil Octopus God Cthulhu, would be frozen.

Mo Yuhan asked, ”We need to destroy both hearts at the same time? Thatʼs all!”

”Yes, I will support you. Just focus on one heart, and I will simultaneously use an arrow to attack the other heart to match your movements,” Ji Yoonjun said.

Doctor Hei said, ”I will halt his movements. But it might not be too effective—just a few seconds at least!”

Ji Yoonjun said, ”Thatʼs enough! We will match our timing with you! Mo Yuhan, get ready!”

However, Cthulhu is not a fool. After learning of their schemes, he attempted to destroy everyone by going into a frenzy or even exploding himself. It decided in its own mind. It is preferable to pull as many people into his death as possible because he will eventually pass away. He is utterly callous, not just to his adversaries but even to himself.

{Damn! Humans, you wonʼt get whatever you want!!! }

Cthulhu, the God of Madness, roared, and an aura of strength grew around him. He immediately healed the wounds these hunters had caused him by sucking back the black aura he spread over the sea. The cuts and burns had regrowed the lost skin and flesh, but the frost had returned to normal. The seaʼs corrosive aura has completely vanished, which is the only positive news.

It became white instead of becoming a pure black octopus.

Leica commented, ”Its attributes have changed. Now itʼs light elements.”

”As expected of a God with three hearts, each heart controls different kinds of elements or attributes. Now that itʼs covered in light elements, the only components that can hurt it are either a dark one or a colorless attribute,” Lu Shang said.

Mo Xuejing said, ”At what extent could that doctor control his ability? If he could control a god of this level, he would be more than useful.”

”Doctor Hei should be able to do it. As long as Ji Yoonjun makes the right judgment, they should be able to win,” Leica said.

Lu Shang said, ”The problem is whether he would make the right decision.”

Mo Xuejing glanced down at the scene beneath his feet, watching as the young guy hovered above the others. He did not say anything, just about to turn his back on everything, until he saw a flash of movement close to the young manʼs ears.

He was unaware of the words spoken to the young guy, but it was during these brief moments that Ji Yoonjun called out to Mo Yuhan, announcing that he would launch an attack concurrently with his own. Two parties are attacking at the same time, but their targets are distinct.

After determining that Ji Yoonjun had taken the proper decision, Leica and Lu Shang teamed up with Mo Yuhan to demolish the Mad Godʼs two hearts. Being gods, they typically avoid dealing with humans because it degrades them on their side. The move made by Ji Yoonjun is not what Lu Shang and Leica had anticipated. They anticipated that he would reject this choice and take action on his own.

Lu Shang stated, ”This is unexpected. Just now I thought he would want to do it on his own. Did I see things wrong?”

”Maybe he changed his mind at the last moment,” Leica said.

Cthulhuʼs body was immobilized by Doctor Hei, and the effect was short-lived—only five seconds. His nose, ears, and eyes bled from the backlash against him, yet the doctor continued and carried out his duty. Mo Yuhan seized the chance and used the ice spear he had just made to stab the enemy in the heart.

Ji Yoonjun timed his release of an arrow perfectly, aiming it at the Evil Emperor Godʼs second heart.

SHRRRRIIEEEEEKKKKSSS~

Cthulhuʼs body gradually burns to ashes as his two hearts are killed simultaneously. Even with his tremendous existence, he was still subjugated by these humans, whom he detested. He was no longer in pain as he approached death, so his final hours were spent in peace. Like the other gods, he was worshipped as a god before he became the God of Madness.

Because he loves people, he went above and beyond to grant their requests.

However, these peopleʼs desires evolved with time. They began pleading with him to murder, demolish, and eradicate people with kind intentions. At first, he refused to grant these requests, but as time went on and people lost sight of him, he grew weaker and weaker, which made it impossible for him to accept.

He began granting those unattractive requests in order to remain alive, but as a result, he was transformed into a fallen god. He is filled with madness and becomes an awful god that all living things in this world fear.

However, he took out one of his hearts and detached it from his body before he turned completely wicked. He severed the link and delivered it to his most devoted follower. The believerʼs heart provided a means of enabling him to live a life apart from himself, and this believer accompanied him throughout. As the Moray Eel God approached the dying Evil Octopus God, everyone watched.

When Mo Yuhan attempted to stop him, his cousin materialized behind him and restrained his shoulder. It was unexpected that the othersʼ shadows were constrained, making it difficult for them to move as well.

They can only watch as Cthulhu fully transforms into a human in his soul form, which is now slowly fading.

{Lanyu, this is the last time I can call your name. Also, I will cut off your connection to the heavens. These restraints are the things that prevent your ascension. Once you get out of this worldʼs chain, live the rest of your life as you wish. Itʼs just that I can no longer fulfill the promise I made. You are now free.

I will protect you for the last time.}

{What are you? talking about? W-Wait!!!}

Sea God Lanyu desired to take on human form in order to preserve Cthulhuʼs dwindling soul. Sadly, there is not even a trace of a manʼs soul left in this world, thus it is too late. He did not understand the words the man had said for him, for whatever reason. Still, he was unable to contain the anguish in his heart.

His divinity had exploded, as if something inside him had been let loose, and this radiance had destroyed all limitations in this realm.

It so occurred that his heart was the source of this potent holiness. Lanyu had successfully changed from his half-humanoid shape to a full-humanoid one under the intense golden light around him. His chest radiates a powerful aura of divinity that envelops and shields him. It is clear that he had no control over this power, but it serves to shield him.

The skies were naturally infuriated by Lanyuʼs abrupt ascent. The idea that the heavens were attempting to destroy Lanyu startled him, as he was unable to comprehend anything. Abruptly, heavy, black clouds engulfed the sky inside the central area. There is a constant rumbling noise and a visible streak of lights inside the ominous clouds.

Rumbles! Rumbles~

{Why am I getting punished? Didnʼt I complete my mission to destroy the evil god? } The Moray Eel God screamed in disbelief.

---

When Lu Shang, Leica, and Mo Xuejing saw this, they pulled everyone out of the way of Sea God Lanyu and back through the barrier Ye Jieye had built. They witness the confrontation between the Moray Eel God and the Heavenly Tribulation.

Mo Yuhan asked, ”Cousin, what is wrong with him?”

”All beings that are capable of reaching ascension to become a real god will have to suffer a Heavenly Tribulation. If one is successful, you will be reborn with a godʼs flesh and blood. Your soul will be divine, and the restraint of your world will be gone.

In short, you will be able to leave this world and go anywhere you like.” The one who answered was unexpectedly Ye Jieye, who just finished cooking and reappeared beside his wife.

Mo Xuejing asked, ”What will happen if he fails?”

”His everything will be gone and his soul will be destroyed. Everything will return to nothingness.” Ye Jieye answered and added, ”That one should be alright. What protected him is an ancient god of this world, and his heart is a treasure itself. That must be Cthulhuʼs last heart. I donʼt know why it appeared in that eel instead.”

---

Before Sea God Lanyu could comprehend what was going on, a dense lightning bolt struck his head. Startled, he neglected to defend himself, but a powerful light of divinity radiated from his breast, enclosing him and shielding him from the lightning that descended from above.

{Huh? Iʼm not hurt. Why?}

A sudden warmth welled up in his chest, and Lanyu could not help but glance down. He noticed how brilliantly the heart next to him was glowing. He had no idea that he even had this heart. He was also unaware of its source. An unbearable ache rocked his skull, as though something imprisoned inside had exploded. Something had come back to him from the distant past.

A portion of his memory was sealed by the heavens upon his elevation to sainthood.

There was just one land and the wife ocean prior to the land becoming divided into danger zones. People lead regular lives. Due to their weakness, they look to the sea for cover. The only natural god on the planet, the Overlord, resides within the ocean. compassionate and kind to people who are beneath him. He maintained law and order in the water and shielded the land from the sea.

He was revered by mankind and could grant certain requests. But as time went on, these peopleʼs circumstances began to improve; they were able to live independently of one another, and they stopped being protected by others. The one and only godʼs protection was forgotten, yet some evil people attempted to take advantage of his existence.

They slaughtered those who wished to view him as a good God and stripped him of his followers. Ultimately, by granting this terrible humanʼs wants, the god became contaminated and perverted from the inside out.
