I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1298: 18.136 First Grey Star - Upset

Mo Xuejing was taken aback. He was not sure if he had forgotten about it or if he just assumed that everything was normal because Ye Jieye had been acting as though he was here outside of him the entire time. Who would ever know that the dungeon is where Satan is born? After all, he was raised outdoors with a makeshift and temporary vessel.

”Confess. What are the other things you havenʼt told me yet? Grandpa Mu just asked, When are you coming back to your body? Are you really going to come back inside!? There is a lot of unknown danger inside!” Mo Xuejing said as he sat up. Ye Jieye followed him and looked a bit helpless against his wifeʼs anger.

Ye Jieye tried to coax him with a hug and said, ”Okay. I will tell you everything. Donʼt get angry. Anger is bad for your health.”

”Stop talking nonsense and spill everything!” Mo Xuejing said as he crossed his arms above his chest, looking serious and a bit irritated at his husband.

Ye Jieye hugged his wife but was slightly pushed away. Mo Xuejingʼs anger seems to be real this time. Since he canʼt hug him, holding on to his waist is also alright.

”You recalled the first tragedy in the Ruins of Time?” Ye Jieye asked.

Mo Xuejing frowned, but he also knew what his husband was talking about. ”You are saying the one that involves our parents and your other grandfather, Ye Jingya.”

”Yes. Thatʼs the first attempt of exploration for the Ruins of Time. The exploration was led by Grandfather Ye. My parents and your parents had all volunteered as well, and they thought that since the scouts all come out safely, the place must not be dangerous. Unfortunately, that is just their wishful thinking. A lot of fierce monsters come out of the dungeon, and they are being chased as well.

In the end, everyone who came inside was stuck after Grandfather Lu shut down the door with his own hand. He made this choice because, as a Heavenly Guardian, his duty entails putting the majority before the minority,” Ye Jieye said.

Mo Xuejing said, ”This is also the heart wound of our grandfathers and caused them to hate each other, especially my grandfather and grandpa Lu.”

”Yes. This is also the reason Grandfather Mu left the capital. Actually, they didnʼt even know that my dad was pregnant with me at that time. They only knew through the short-space communication between my two grandfathers, Mu Zang and Ye Jingya. But even that was cut off when Grandfather Ye separated my soul from my body and brought it away with the black dragonʼs egg,” Ye Jieye said.

Mo Xuejing couldnʼt believe that his husbandʼs body and soul were separated as soon as he was born. His vessel remained inside the dungeon, growing without any soul in it. Is that strange? How can a vessel continue to exist without a soul?”

”Is your body... does it still exist? How long have you been outside? Can you still even return?” Mo Xuejing asked, but the worry in his time is something Ye Jieye couldnʼt ignore.

Ye Jieye pinched his wifeʼs cheek and said, ”Itʼs still alive. My soul connection to my original body isnʼt cut off. Like you, my current body cannot be considered real flesh as well. Itʼs more like an empty puppet vessel. Once it is destroyed, my soul will return to its original body.”

For Mo Xuejing, the term demolished set off a reaction in his heart. Fear, grief, and rejection were all that were on his mind and in his heart. He refused to acknowledge that his husbandʼs return to his true form was the only thing standing between them and the salvation of this earth.

Mo Xuejing was trembling as he grabbed the clothes of Ye Jieye above his chest. ”Canʼt you just not come back? Letʼs wait for the seal to open inside and go inside together.”

”AʼMo, if I choose that option, a lot of people would have to die. This includes your grandfather, my grandfathers, and our family. Is that okay with you? One of us must stay here to block all the monsters before I come out. Only you can do it? My children might also fall in danger, as even I am unsure what the hell is inside of that dungeon.

I...”

Mo Xuejingʼs silver eyes tear up for the second time. If not for the moisture that soaked Ye Jieyeʼs pajamas, he would not have heard the quiet cry. The God of Void is utterly powerless in the face of his belovedʼs weeping, much as Hei Anjing is terrified to behold the scene of his other halfʼs death.

”Baby, please... Iʼm begging you. Donʼt cry like this. You crying without a sound makes me feel a stabbing pain in my heart. Please donʼt cry. Iʼm wrong, okay?”

Ye Jieye attempted to kiss away his sweetheartʼs tears. Unfortunately, it does not appear to be ending anytime soon. All Ye Jieye could do was cozy up to his wife. The God of Void was really at a loss for what to do at this point.

After crying for far too long, Mo Xuejing eventually felt tired and drowsy. In his sleep, Ye Jieye heard him whispering phrases.

”He is right. You are indeed cruel to yourself, and I hate this side of you too.”

The God of Void looked shocked. He was aware of what Mo Xuejing had said. It appears that at least one meeting between him and Hei Anjing occurred in secret, and that his significant other was already aware of his plans regarding Chaos. He inhaled deeply, as though attempting to get rid of whatever was lodged in his throat. Either way, the weight on his heart did not lessen in the slightest.

There was new information concerning the impending disaster that the palace had posted. All the hunters, fighters, and warriors were asked to join the royal familyʼs knights in the capital. Every town and village that the messenger could reach received this decree. This is the land peering over their heads in preparation for the tragedy.

Ordinary people were alarmed by the news of the Calamity of the Land, and the majority of these men are incapable of fighting. They decided to relocate away from the capital city, which is supposed to be the starting point of the tragedy, in order to avoid becoming a burden. Most of the fighters, hunters, and warriors from all those cities and villages made the decision to head to the capital.

Some opt to shield the common folks who are traveling throughout the globe. They specifically desired to ask the God of the Sea for temporary assistance.

The source of the knowledge on the recently born sea god is unknown. Nonetheless, in the three months of planning prior to the catastrophe starting, nearly every person in the country became aware of his presence. Numerous individuals attempted to enter the Anairam Trench.

After learning that people had entered the ocean, Heavenly Guardian Fei built more coral homes outside and allowed them to stay there for a while. Make sure there are no signs of conflict and that the region remains stable.

Humans quickly became well-suited to life in the sea. They began to get along with other seafaring Sentient races, including the fishermen race. Humans were first terrified of the seafaring species, but as time went on and both races began to pray to the sea god in order to seek his protection, humans began to get along with them.

While the ancient god, Sea God Lanyu, granted wishes for certain people, he at least ensured the safety of the humans who were temporarily residing in the water. His disciples would do the heavy lifting; he would not even need to reveal his face. He did not intend to engage in direct human interaction.

In the Core Region of Anairam Trench...

Leica was waiting for Su Jin, who was sound asleep inside the ocean pearl, with patience. Occasionally, he would converse over the phone with his sweetheart, who was going with Lu Ming into the other danger zone. Unlike their supervisor, these two had a subsystem that gave them the ability to interact with the other hosts or the main systems. It lacks the consciousness of Zhi Yang and Zhi Yue.

Like a cellphone, it is only a tool for communication.

I am currently on a video call with Lu Shang.

Leica asked, ”Youʼve been there for a month. Have you found it yet, What does Lu Ming need?”

[We found it. Itʼs just that... it gains a spirit. Itʼs a mere wisp of a Nirvana Flame, but gains sentient. It refuses to accept AʼMing without a fight. [So they can only fight one another.]

Thereʼs a sound of multiple explosions from Lu Shangʼs side. Leica didnʼt know how much destruction was being done in the area where the other group was.

Leica said, ”It seems you will need to take a while. I donʼt know if the news has reached you, but there is a message from the capital city saying that the Calamity of Land will arrive three months later. A month has already passed and there is still another two months left. Even so, you can inform the others about it. Also, tell Xiao Ming that Xiao Jin is waking up soon.

If I saw it correctly, he should be waking up within this month.”

[I will inform AʼMing about this. Are there other tasks from the Lord?] Lu Shang asked.

Leica shook his head. ”For now, none. But Iʼm having a bad premonition, so as soon as Xiao Jin wakes up, we are returning to the capital city. You guys should also hurry up things on your side.”

[I understand. I will inform the rest about this. Honey, I miss you.] Lu Shang said.

Leica smiled and said, ”I miss you too, darling. See you soon.”

[See you soon.]

Leica drank his coffee and gazed at the Ocean Pearl floating above him as the loversʼ call ended. He notices that Su Jinʼs elemental aura has significantly increased and that the water elements from the pearl have significantly decreased.

Leica mumbles, ”It seems when he comes out, he will become a demigod, at least. But for an E-Class star, the increase in gods is a bit weird. This world is giving me creeps.”

---

On the other side of the call is Active Volcano Island.

After hanging up with Leica, Lu Shang turned to see the two young men, Lu Ming and Mo Yuhan, engaged in combat with a fire phoenix that had manifested. The majority of this phoenixʼs shape was made of fire, and he had no physical body. Compared to a true divine phoenix, this physical form is much weaker and more transient.

Ji Yoonjun did not shoot his arrows straight at the Nirvana Flames; instead, he remained at Lu Mingʼs side, aiding Mo Yuhan in their struggle. He would only unleash one when the two were in danger, which is why the sentient flame attacked the two who were attacking him rather than him.

CAAAWWSSS~

When a massive ball of flame suddenly appeared, Mo Yuhan decided to dodge rather than block it. Once, when he attempted to prevent it, he nearly became human charcoal. Unless he really accumulates the ice elements to make a thick barrier of ice, his ice will barely be able to block it.

”Ah, fuck! Itʼs just a small flame. How can it be this powerful?” Mo Yuhan complained.

Mo Yuhan was not like Lu Ming. The latterʼs bloodline is endowed with fire elements, thus he did not need to put out the flames. Even though his skin would not physically burn, he would sense heat all over it. There is no wound, but there is pain.

”You look like the weakest in his eyes. Of course, it would attack you,” Lu Ming said.

Mo Yuhan said, ”Shut up! If I had enough time to gather enough qi, I would be able to reach that damn flame!”

”Isnʼt that the reason why itʼs attacking you without letting you rest?” Lu Ming said.

The Phoenix Flame became a little irritated with the two because they continued to argue during the fight. A small phoenix of pride, he would never let mankind treat him with such disdain. He is not to be looked down upon by mortals, even if he is simply a wisp of a phoenix soul.
