I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1295: 18.133 First Grey Star - Night at the Capital City

Capital City

When the Ye family and the other hunters in their party reached the main city, it was already getting dark. Since none of the residences have any lights, the majority of them appear surprisingly deserted. Not even the street lamps remained. The only light available to the knights on patrol is from the torches they hold in their hands.

The majority of their group was confused because the city had altered drastically since they had gone. The nationʼs capital now has the appearance of a deserted town with a spooky aura.

Mo Xuejing said, ”What happened to the city? Is the situation worse than we thought, and this place got abandoned?”

”It doesnʼt seem like it. They must have first sent the citizens out of the city. It seems that the situation in the dungeon area is bleak for them to send people away. Letʼs go find the old men first,” Ye Jieye said.

Suddenly, the other hunters who were with them wanted to go. Before returning to their tribes to report, they wanted to see how their family was doing. Ye Jieye was traveling with his family straight to the location of Heavenly Guardians Mo Xinyue, Lu Wangle, and Mu Zang. The only place they can locate people is the makeshift encampment close to the Ruin of Time Dungeon.

Mo Xuejing had given them the person to leave. ”Go. Report to the clan after you find your family.”

”Yes, Heirs. Thank you very much!” They collectively responded.

After giving these two masters a salute, the six hunters from the Mo and Lu clans parted ways. Of the six, half had gone into the country of the Mo Clan, and the other half had traveled toward the Lu Clan. Regarding the Ye family, they went straight to the location where their ancestorsʼ auras had congregated.

They bid Roi, the black dragon, to soar toward the battleground. There is a lot of fighting in the wide space at the dungeon entrance. The only light sources on the ground were torches, but this was purposeful because the creatures in this wave are light-sensitive. This time, the monsters are fewer in number but larger in size, with a homogeneous shape.

These creatures resemble large humanoids more than golems, yet they move more quickly toward areas of light.

With each stride these monsters took, the ground beneath their feet trembled. There are just six enormous black-and-white creatures this time. There is a scene when you labor really hard and then, once a gigantic monster is beaten, you are faced with an even more irritating circumstance.

After taking their time to fight one of these enormous monsters, the hunters and knights watched as it died and exploded into a plethora of miniature humanoid monsters. Like the earlier group of monsters, they are cursed, and many of the men battling these creatures were taken by surprise once more. Another batch of infants and elderly adults litters the battlefield.

Ye Jieye and his kin observed from above, merging harmoniously with the dusk sky. Except for his crimson, which was similar to his masterʼs, Roiʼs shade of darkness and the camouflaging effect of flying in the middle of the night made everything else melt in the darkness.

Mo Xuejing frowned as he saw the situation under them look chaotic. ”Are those monsters from the Ruins of Time? They look a bit...”

”Distorted. Monsters born in distorted timelines look like that. They are parasites that live by eating time. Their whole existence only follows the laws of time of where they came from. This kind of monster shouldnʼt be killed one at a time.

Once only a single one is killed, it would split up like that just now,” Ye Jieye said as he knew about these creatures when he accidentally fell in a distorted space timeline before. Those ruined timelines are filled with these kinds of creatures.

Mo Xuejing said, ”What is the correct way to kill them then?”

”Kill them all at the same time. The laws of time meant stability and equality. So regardless of how many monsters there are, it would never be an odd number. There will always be an equal timeline of past and future, and it is directly proportional to the number of people in the present.

There were too many people on the battlefield, and it gained the ability to propagate because of it,” Ye Jieye said.

Mo Xuejing said, ”You mean there would be fewer monsters if there were only a few people in this area when the first batch of monsters came out?”

”Yes. Based on the number of monsters at each wave, the first batch must be more or less a hundred. But they keep increasing the number of fighters, which leads to monsters multiplying as well to balance out things,” Ye Jieye said.

Mo Xuejing said, ”We should help them.”

”Wait for a minute. Let me stop your time for a bit. So that you wouldnʼt get affected by the laws of time in this place.”

Even though Ye Jieye is not the God of Time right now, the God of Time, Ye Qinjing has granted him some power over time because the God of Time is his eldest son. His history was shielded by the God of Time itself, so no one could just alter it. His realm of time had turned into a blessing. Ye Jieye and his small family were encircled by a golden-black atmosphere.

This prevents Ye Qinjing, the God of Time, from having any further power over time.

”Okay, play as much as you want,” Ye Jieye said with a doting smile.

One huge and two small leapt from the black dragon with his consent and fell free from an incredible height. However, none of these three appear afraid; in fact, one of the cubs giggles as they fall. They landed squarely on the battleground. A blue-white phoenix materialized on their foot just before they impacted the ground, slowing their descent before vanishing once more.

Ye Anxia brought these blue-white phoenix flames to life. It can carry weight for a few minutes until it crashes.

While Ye Jingxia and Ye Anxia fell among the throng of little monsters and flew across the field on the backs of their blue-white phoenix flames, Mo Xuejing fell in line with one of the towering giants. She will always have this flame phoenix as long as she has enough qi.

One giant and the three around suddenly turned into ice and fell to bits as soon as they entered the conflict. It did not break up into smaller monsters since Mo Xuejingʼs ice altered the monsterʼs characteristics entirely. As he destroyed every creature in his path, Ye Jingxiaʼs eyes shone with crimson light. All along, he was laughing like a small madman.

The young princess, meanwhile, resembled an attacker who was far away and could fly. It soared on the back of the pale white phoenix, flanked by smaller phoenixes hardly bigger than sparrows. When a monster on the battlefield was about to kill a human, she would give the command to attack. She would even carry a few dying individuals to a secure location.

She did not immediately enter the combat, unlike her father and older brother, because she was aware of how little control she had over divine qi given her size.

As anticipated, the battlefield had essentially stabilized by the time these three entered the fray. Some knights decide to leave the area where Mo Xuejing had emerged and assist in dragging their wounded allies from the battlefield. This Mo Heir affected his surroundings with most of his strikes.

They were nearly crushed on the battlefield due to their compatibility with ice elements, which is worse than feeling numbness in their bodies. Fortunately, their allies pulled them out of Mo Xuejingʼs assault range.

In addition, ice covers half of the battlefield. There were pieces of a broken creature inside one quarter, and there were burn and freeze marks on the other. Ye Anxia is assisted in eliminating the monsters she had attacked and chained by the other knights and fighters in the vicinity.

Because of Mo Xuejingʼs extraordinary power, the Heavenly Guardians and the King were quick to recognize his presence. Two little beings can be seen aiding humans in their battles against monsters in both the sky and the ground. It looks like it would not take them long to defeat this group of creatures.

Heavenly Guardian Mo Xinyue said, ”Thatʼs... Xueʼer!? Are they back?”

The heavenly guardians who were temporarily resting, after all, had been fighting nonstop for days and barely had a rest. Plus, they are finding a way to solve this situation. This is the third wave in a month. They are losing not only in resources but also in people. The dead count just continues to increase with each monster wave.

Then they witnessed the two content cubs engaged in combat on the battlefield. With a joyful expression, Ye Jingxia tore the monster limb by limb, resembling a small monster. Thankfully, this monster is bloodless and has no internal organs, despite his charming yet terrifying appearance. Once they took a specific level of damage, they vanished.

The little monsters strewn around the field were absolutely overwhelmed by him.

The giants, for the most part, were bound by Mo Xuejingʼs ice. He could have melted these creatures into thin air with the touch of his finger. He perched atop a frozen mammoth, his chilly stare apathetically surveying the field. Anything that got close to him would freeze. It seemed as though an Ice God had entered the world of mortals, freezing everything in his path.

Ye Anxia, the young princess, is encircled by bluish-white birds and appears to be a tiny angel, giving them orders to eliminate her adversaries. Occasionally, the bluish-white flame would reduce the target to ashes or cause it to solidify into ice, much like her father had done with the giants. The escaped creatures from her brotherʼs territory were all she was aiming for.

This unprecedented display of total subjugation stunned and astounded everyone. Three days had passed since they had finished the second wave of monsters when the third wave of creatures materialized out of nowhere.

Heavenly Guardian Gu commented. ”Amazing. As I expected of Satanʼs children, they are like little monsters themselves.”

”Your grandson is also very powerful. He had completely dealt with most of the giants and defeated them. Iʼm more surprised that the curse from these monsters doesnʼt seem to affect them,” Heavenly Guardian Xian Wu said.

Doctor Sen, who noticed the faint golden-black film covering the body of Mo Xuejing and his children, suddenly said, ”Maybe Satan had a means to prevent a curse from affecting them. If this is true, then this wave would be suppressed by them.”

Mo Xuejing and their two kids captured the amazement in Wang Xingmoʼs gaze. Ye Jingxia and Ye Anxia are more affected, as he feels like killing Mo Xuejing when he looks at her. He did not see a massive black dragon carrying a man with the same crimson eyes as the dragon peering down on him from above until Names whispered that Ye Jieye was watching from the skies.

Mu Zang and Lu Wangle, the Heavenly Guardians, were searching the area for their grandson. Up until a massive, black dragon drops out of the sky, gets smaller, and vanishes into his ownerʼs clothing. Like an immortal, Ye Jieye hovers down in the center of the battleground.

Hellfire simply snapped his finger, and all the demons around him were engulfed in a black flame, burning them to the ground and leaving not even ash in their wake.

Suddenly, Mo Xuejing burst into a radiant smile that stunned everyone around, even the people in his Mo Clan. The Mo Clanʼs heir is actually notorious for having a blank countenance and never smiling, so people were taken aback when they saw an expressionless, stoic man grinning. It was only to his dismay that he saw his husbandʼs peculiar response to burning the local monsters.

He asked worriedly, ”AʼYe, is something wrong?”

”Later, I will tell you,” Ye Jieye whispered as he kissed his wifeʼs phoenix-shaped eyes with gentleness.

The two cubs have reunited with their parents. They were not angry with their father for burning their toys right away, even if they were a little miffed about it. They saw that there were other uncles who were hurt nearby.
