I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1259: 18.97 First Grey Star - Doctor Heiʼs Ability

Ocean Palaceʼs Backyard...

A tense exchange of words ensued between Ji Yoonjun and Doctor Hei, with the latter seeming to assume that Ji Yoonjun already knew everything, even if it is impossible for a mortal, even an enlightened one, to know about his mission and the existence of the Lord. This could only indicate that the doctor is an outsider, just like him.

However, Ji Yoonjun was unaware that Doctor Hei was merely attempting to gather information from him.

When Ji Yoonjun expressed his desire to kill him, Doctor Hei stopped acting like the strange man he was, even though the reason for his strange gaze was not merely his curiosity about who he was.

Doctor Hei said, ”Ah, donʼt. Donʼt. I donʼt know anything about you. The only reason Iʼm observing you is because my ability to attract isnʼt affecting you at all. There is also Lu Shang, Leica, and the two Heirs. Thatʼs why I thought maybe there is something about that that is weird.

Thatʼs really all!”

Doctor Hei was so surprised by Ji Yoonjunʼs slow speech that he even raised his hands to show it. However, after hearing his words, Ji Yoonjun became more composed and his desire to kill the man in front of him had lessened. It appears that although Doctor Hei is distinct from the other mortals, he is not the same as the destroyers who sneak into worlds and wipe out everything.

Ji Yoonjun asked, ”What kind of ability is it? Show me?”

”I donʼt mind showing you, but since it doesnʼt work on you, to whom should I try it?” Doctor Hei asked.

Ji Yoonjun heard his ability is close to seduction, but he didnʼt know the restrictions. ”Are there any restrictions? Like living things and non-living things?”

”That... maybe I can use it on anything moving?” Doctor Hei said, a bit unsure of his ability as he had only used it on humans before.

Ji Yoonjun looked around and saw a cluster of fish swimming around the corals not far from them. He pointed at it. ”Try it on those fishes.”

”All of them?” asked Doctor Hei. ”Iʼve only tried it on a single target before.”

”Just try it. If it fails, try it on one fish,” Ji Yoonjun said.

After a moment of hesitation, Doctor Hei followed orders, controlling his pheromones and using them on the school of fish. The fish, which had been swimming freely moments earlier, suddenly turned toward him, swimming around him as if something had attracted them. Ji Yoonjun reached out to touch him, but the fish slapped his hand with their tails, shocking even Doctor Hei.

Doctor Hei mumbled in surprise, ”So, itʼs possible to control a group. I didnʼt know that.”

Ji Yoonjun flipped his hand, and a dagger appeared in it. He said to Doctor Hei, ”Command half of them to attack me.”

”O-Okay.”

Even the doctor was shocked at how well Doctor Hei directed half of the fish to attack Ji Yoonjun. The fish swam quickly towards Ji Yoonjun, hoping to bite him to death, but were slain by a few swipes of his knife, turning them into sashimi.

”Wow~ youʼre such a badass!” Doctor Hei exclaimed.

Ji Yoonjun ignored his words and said, ”Try to control them to kill themselves. I wanted to see if they could break away from your control.”

”Sure,” said Doctor Hei as he was asked, and he controlled the fish to kill themselves. Under the eyes of the two of them, the fish swim directly to a stone without holding back, killing themselves.

Ji Yoonjun commented, ”Your skills are more interesting than I thought. Letʼs try it a few more times. I wanted to check on something.”

”Ah, wait? What about the cubs?” Doctor Hei asked.

Ji Yoonjun said, ”If the Young Lord and the Princess didnʼt want to be found, no matter what we do, we cannot find them. Itʼs better to let them come out on their own. Moreover, the Lords are in the Palace; no one should be able to harm them.”

He suddenly dragged the back collar of Doctor Hei and disappeared somewhere. As for where they went, no one truly knows.

Meanwhile, inside the Ocean Palaceʼs Main Hall...

Ye Jieye and his group were being served by Heavenly Guardian Feiʼs confidants. The hall had been filtered without water so that the VIP guests could be served human food and drinks. Mo Xuejing, Lu Shang, Leica, and Ye Jieye were seated on the couch, waiting for the palace owner to awaken; a few mermaids and sirens stood by, ready to take orders from the guests.

Ye Jieye was serving his wife some drinks himself, looking as indifferent as ever. Lu Shang and Leica were waiting for their lords in silence, too; they had been waiting for a while, but the houseʼs owner still had not returned, and the brats who had entered before them were nowhere to be seen.

Mo Xuejing suddenly said, ”Leica, you and Shang go and find the children.”

”Yes, Lord Mo.” Leica and Lu Shang accepted his order.

Ye Jieye turned to face the anxious group of sea creatures in front of them, clearly fearing punishment for his failure to bring over the house master. As for Leica and Lu Shang, they obeyed and left the room.

”Whereʼs your master? The owner of this danger zone?” Ye Jieye asked.

These aquatic animals were frightened by his expressionless yet attractive face. Despite their disparate facial preference lists, the couple between them is unquestionably more attractive than any other human couple. They looked even more stunning and handsome than the mermaids, akin to their master.

The only difference is that their presence is stronger than theirs, so they could not lie their way out.

”The Master had fainted before the Venerable Lords arrived and... still hasnʼt woken up.”

”When we last checked, this time his shell bed was once again tightly closed, and we couldnʼt open it from the outside.”

”Please forgive us for our incompetence! Spare us; we will do our best to serve your desires.”

The sea creatures before them were all lowering their heads. These sirens and mermaids could not swim in such a place without water, but they wore an artifact around their belt that made them float in the air, and water covered their lower half, which appeared like a water-filled bubble.

Mo Xuejing said with a cold tone, ”We donʼt really need to meet that stupid fish leader of yours. We need to enter the Ocean Floor. That place is considered the core region of this zone, and it needs his permission to enter it. If you have his token or something that will allow us to go there, give it to us. As for that stupid fish, I will punish him when we get back.”

Words have great power, and Mo Xuejing is clearly not going to take no for an answer from these individuals. He also still harbors a strong disdain for Heavenly Guardian Fei; who would love someone who intended to hurt his children? Even the spiteful Mo Xuejing would not be so tolerant.

Ye Jieye passed another cup of iced milk tea to his wife. ”Baby, I made you another cup.”

”Thank you, Aʼ...AʼYe...” The pause in Mo Xuejingʼs words seems like he was being shy, but this reaction of his just made the smile on Ye Jieyeʼs face brighter.

One of them sent someone to the masterʼs office to get something they needed there, and after a while, a small box was passed to one of Heavenly Guardian Feiʼs confidants. The pink bubbles between the couple left the other speechless and not knowing what to say next. But after digesting the words of Mo Xuejing, they finally understood why these Venerable Lords came here.

”Venerable Lords, we heard what you wanted.” The siren opened the small box, revealing a rainbow scale. ”This is the token needed to enter the Ocean Floor. Please take it.”

Ye Jieye took the necessary token and sipped his black coffee in silence, using Qi to take the little box without touching the other and hide it in his space inventory.

”Good work. We will take our leave as soon as the others arrive,” Ye Jieye said.

The sea creature in front of Ye Jieye and Mo Xuejing felt relieved to see that the special token had been accepted, and they began to tell them about the core region, providing them with all the information they needed to ensure a smooth journey while hunting. After thirty minutes, Lu Shang and Leica returned with the brats, which included the two cubs who had gone into hiding from their uncles.

”Daddy, Papa, weʼre back!” The two cubs said, running towards their parents for a hug.

Su Jin was fine, since he only had to assist with cooking, but Lu Ming was exhausted from his hour-long shift as an errand boy for dishwashing, peeling fruits and vegetables, and serving food to soldiers and guards at the fishing camp. Meanwhile, Doctor Guang and Mo Yuhan appeared filthy, covered in mud and dust, with an arrow protruding from their heads. Clearly, I suffered a great deal.

Although Ji Yoonjun appears to be as composed and silent as previously, Doctor Hei, who vanished along with him, appeared to have dropped a significant amount of weight. It also appears that he lost a significant amount of pheromones, since Ji Yoonjun put him in a variety of experimental settings to see how far he could go.

Doctor Guang grumbled. ”Fuck that underground floor. Isnʼt it just a warehouse? Why have you placed too many traps?”

”Urk! I feel so sticky. That stupid squid.” Mo Yuhan was currently covered with black ink from some squid creatures they fought underground.

Lu Ming said, ”A plate of takoyaki. A tray of takoyaki. A box of takoyaki. Dammit! Arenʼt they sick of eating it? Now I feel puking just smelling that damn takoyaki.”

”Itʼs alright. I made you some octopus balls instead. Eat first. Iʼll save some for you!” Su Jin witnessed his lover running around the palace without rest. He canʼt even drink a glass of water, much less eat snacks.

”Darling, please donʼt give me anything with squid or octopus. I feel sick just smelling it.” Lu Ming complained.

”Junjun. No more. Iʼve already used up my pheromones!” Doctor Hei took the bowl of octopus balls, and said, ”Give it! Iʼm starving! AH! Iʼm alive again!”

Lu Shang and Leica can still understand the response of the first four, but for this last pair, they truly did not know what they did and suddenly just appeared at the palace entrance when they could not find them anywhere in the palace. Ji Yoonjun gave him a cold look and turned his head away, pretending not to hear him.

Leica asked, ”Ji Yoonjun, what did you two do? You werenʼt in the palace just now.”

”His ability is interesting. Weʼve tested it a lot. It can be used for all things that move regardless of whether theyʼre living things or not. He can even control a huge group or a large target. But itʼs only useful on something not stronger than the heavens. I asked him to try it to me.

The effects is good but I can break itʼs control over me anytime.” Ji Yoonjunʼs explanation made the other interested

Doctor Guang, who knew about his twinʼs special ability, was surprised that he told anyone about it. Even he didnʼt know the effect of his twin brotherʼs ability.

”Eh? You told him your ability!?” Doctor Hei nodded his head and responded to his twin, ”Itʼs the only way to live since I offend him.”

Hmp!

Ji Yoonjun glanced at him coldly and give him a snort.

Suddenly, Lu Shang asked, ”Are you saying his ability is useful to anything in this world but not those from outside?”

Ji Yoonjun nodded his head, and Lu Shang looked at Doctor Hei with a scrutinizing gaze. Leica, Ye Jieye, and Mo Xuejing looked a bit interested as well.

Leica asked, ”If he ascends, would it mean his ability will be able to control those with divinity as well?”

”Maybe. But I think controlling absolute beings is still impossible,” Ji Yoonjun said.

Bewildered by their conversation, Doctor Hei was confused, ”What are you guys talking about?” But everyone ignored his question. As for the others, they were already aware of the content of their senior conversation. They choose to shut up.

Ye Jieye said, ”If he is useful, train him. Our place is lacking in manpower after all.”

”Please leave it to me, my lord. I will test him well. If he is useful, then... I will train him personally.” Lu Shang said.
