I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1294: 18.132 First Grey Star - Glimpse of Future, which to choose?

The feeling would not last long after settling down, but Mo Xuejing had personally witnessed and experienced it. The earth nearly turned black from the intense smell of burning flesh and blood staining it, and the worldʼs ruins, where every living thing was dying one by one at the hands of monsters emerging from the Ruins of Time.

Brutalized bodies are hardly recognizable as humans. Houses and structures made by humans are deteriorating into heaps of rubble and stone. An even more terrible scene than the end of the world. It is a fading star, the world is coming to an end. He thought things were too real when he saw the lifeless bodies of his grandfather, Mo Xinyue, Grandpa Mu, and Grandfather Lu.

It was intolerable; it was too much.

He overheard his spouse advise giving up on the world. His children were staring at their familiesʼ corpses with lifeless eyes, treating them like strangers. Suddenly, his heart felt icy. In addition, there is the unexpected appearance of the man, whose cloak and black hood obscure his face. His heart went particularly cold and scared at what the stranger had said.

This is because he is very accustomed to hearing that manʼs voice. That was his belovedʼs voice.

Mo Xuejing took a time to settle down. He was taken aback by how quickly his racing heartbeat would settle down. It seemed as though he had nothing to be afraid of. At last, he summons the bravery to glance into the right mirror and take in the scene.

Mo Xuejing mumbles to himself, ”What the hell are these mirrors?” His hand had automatically reached for the other mirror. He must have an innate understanding that what is reflected in that mirror is indeed one of the truths.

[A/N: I think this Mirror World scene is familiar. One of Hei Anjingʼs abilities explained this before in one of the former arcs.]

He was drawn in and saw the scene playing out inside the mirror, just like with the first one. When Mo Xuejing opened his eyes, he saw the sight he knew so well—his own residence in the capital. minimalist room in black and white. Simple furniture and a ton of books on the floor. This is a little different from how he remembers it—he stared at his hands. White, long, and slender fingers.

In fact, he thinks that his body now feels a little cozier than it does now.

His long silver hair fell silently above his chest as he glanced in the mirror. He experienced some head aches when he attempted to pull it. It was at that moment that he realized this long silver hair was his. That is hardly feasible, though, because only his eyes were silver and he had black hair.

He recognizes that the body he is in is the one Chaos is using—that is, his actual body—when he turns to face the glass windows that connect to the veranda.

”This is...”

He sensed, for some reason, a powerful aura emanating from the distance that included aspects of time. Through his thoughts, he was able to expand his divine consciousness and see the scene where a variety of strange beasts had taken over the entrance to the Ruins of Time. They were not special in the sense that, unlike other monsters, they were not perfectly round.

It resembles something that can change into a variety of shapes.

He was about to assume that the dungeon would go on when he sensed his husbandʼs eerie, familiar vibe. The power Mo Xuejing had over his current body vanished the instant Ye Jieye walked into the room. He was confused as the unfathomable wrath welled up in his heart.

ʼHow is this possible!? How in the world can I hate the only person I love in this world!? This canʼt be! I donʼt believe it!ʼ Mo Xuejingʼs thoughts at this moment, unfortunately, regardless of how he tried to take over the body, became useless. It was beyond his means, as if something powerful were preventing him from doing so.

Mo Xuejing felt his lips move against his will and spoke hurtful words he could never say to Ye Jieye.

”Oh, are you here to fulfill your promise? This is new. Our forgetful God of Void, who had left this lord alone in that darkness for a whole millennium, has now learned how to keep his promise. But donʼt you know that keeping your promise to me means breaking your promise to him?”

He heard Ye Jieye respond. ”This promise might be in conflict with my promise to my other half, but this is the only way to save this world. He might only be my wifeʼs soul fragment, but his wishes are all for me to fulfill. He didnʼt want his clans and relatives to die on this plane. The only way is to stop it from the inside. I need to return to my real body.”

His lips moved once again, and Mo Xuejing heard the words that came out of his mouth. ”Because he canʼt do it, you came to meet secretly and asked me to do it. How sure are you that I will do it for you?”

A melancholic smile appeared on Ye Jieyeʼs handsome face, and he answered, ”Because you hate me, thatʼs why you can do it.”

When Mo Xuejing heard Ye Jieyeʼs comments at this precise moment, for whatever reason, he hesitated a little in his heart. However, this uncertainty had been overshadowed by his intense loathing.

His lips mumble, ”Indeed. I guess itʼs time for this play to end. I had enough playing family pretend with you. Meeting my cubs was enough repayment for it, though. Then, as you wish...”

Mo Xuejing suddenly felt an extremely bad premonition in his heart when he heard the words that came out of his mouth.

ʼNo. No... S-Stop. I donʼt want this at all!ʼ

Mo Xuejing felt his right hand begin to move, and no matter how hard he tried to stop it, it continued. However, he had noticed his right hand shaking the entire time. With warmth in his hand, Mo Xuejing met Ye Jieyeʼs adoring gaze. He saw that his right hand had stabbed his husband in the chest as he looked down. He can even feel that the corner of his lips is slightly upturned.

A tingling pain gathers at the corner of his eyes, yet not even a single tear falls.

Mo Xuejing noticed his expression when the room door slammed open. as snow-white. Pain, anxiety, and incredulity were all distorted on his face. Mo Xuejing matched the expression of himself he was seeing and believed he had lost his soul at that very time. Before this scene vanished, Mo Xuejingʼs final memory was of his own voice, screaming in pain.

”NO! AAHHHHH!!!”

However, a brief scene that ultimately included two couples holding each other and embracing Ye Jingxia and Ye Anxia in their arms followed that agonizing moment. Instead of Ye Jieye and Mo Xuejingʼs existing looks, their actual bodies serve as the coupleʼs faces. But now, not only was the globe spared, but the coupleʼs story had a happy ending as well.

However, Mo Xuejing had long since turned into an observer at this point. He is now the Mo Xuejing who combined with someone else to become a new version of himself, not the Mo Xuejing in the photo.

He was hurled out of the mirror once more. On this occasion, Mo Xuejing opened his eyes to see the white world with the white leaves of a half-dead tree. A little table with dessert and tea dishes that looked familiar. He saw this incredibly beautiful man, Hei Anjing, in front of him once more.

Hei Anjing spoke with a bit of amazement in his voice. ”You are not bad. To be able to use one of my abilities regardless of control. No, maybe itʼs the ability showing it to you. That recognition ability of mine is truly uncontrollable. Itʼs a bit annoying to be suddenly pulled into that realm.

Were you surprised?”

”That world of mirrors? Is that what you called the realm?” Mo Xuejing said as he stared at Hei Anjing with a scrutinizing gaze. ”Itʼs not you controlling things by showing me those scenes. If yes, then you have quite an annoying personality.”

”Hah? Hahaha~ is that something for you to say? Have you forgotten that you are me? Chaos is also us,” Hei Anjing said.

Mo Xuejing was startled and said, ”Then that perspective... was it his point of view?”

”Isnʼt it obvious? I donʼt know why he made it so you will experience his side like that. Did he want you to stop him? Sounds a bit ridiculous for an existence made to hate our beloved,” Hei Anjing said sarcastically. Obviously, his relationship with Chaos is not that good.

”Donʼt forget. Chaos is the same as you. Itʼs just that... Anyway, I suggest you donʼt stop him. Unless you let him feel it with his heart, he wouldnʼt understand anything. Only when he felt it for himself would he wake up in reality.” Hei Anjing left behind important but unfinished sentences because he did not want to finish them.

He also purposefully shifted the subject of their discussion. He wanted to express that Chaosʼs hatred is stronger than Mo Xuejingʼs, his soul fragment, and that this makes him feel more like a unique person.

Mo Xuejingʼs breathing was not as normal as he thought of the scenes he had experienced in that mirror realm.

”Precognition of the future. That means what I have seen is...!” Mo Xuejing asked.

Hei Anjing said, ”Itʼs a possibility in the future. There are two paths shown before you. You just have to choose.” A melancholic smile with hidden means appeared on his beautiful face and added, ”Or you can let him choose, you might get disappointed though. Well, forget about it. Remember, once you choose to merge with me, you and I shall become mine.

The memories Chaos had hidden from you, you will get it back by then. This will be the last time we will meet. Because the next time we meet, you will already cease to exist and become a part of me.”

Mo Xuejing gradually becomes aware of reality. He was a little taken aback by Ye Jieyeʼs adoring red eyes. He adores his sweetheartʼs eyes. Whether it was this deep crimson, which is darker than fresh blood, or the darkness filled with stars and galaxies. He adores these eyes, despite their distinctiveness, because they are a part of him.

Ye Jieye smiled and leaned down to kiss his wifeʼs forehead. ”Good morning, AʼMo.”

”Hm. It seems to be afternoon though. Yawns~” Ye Jieyeʼs arms were around Mo Xuejingʼs waist from behind as he sat up straight. A sight to remember is the gorgeous reddish-gold sunset that is setting. He had no idea how long he would be able to live in such bliss.

”Are we near the capital?” Mo Xuejing asked.

Ye Jieye responded with a hug and said, ”Soon. Itʼs still a bit far as I asked Roi to lessen the speed so the rest can follow without being left behind.”

The two cute cubs, Ye Jingxia and Ye Anxia sat down in front of their daddy with innocent grins on their faces.

”Daddy, Xiao Jing wants to eat ice cream!” Ye Jingxia said.

Ye Anxia hugged her brother from the back and said, ”Xiaxia wants it too!”

With a smile, Mo Xuejing assisted his kids in straightening the creases on their clothing. He appeared to be holding a large bowl of ice cream with a flip of his palm. In the small world, it was stolen from the refrigerator. There were also four spoons placed on it.

”Okay. Letʼs eat together!” Mo Xuejing said.

The cubs appeared happy and eager to give the ice cream bowl a hug. Sadly, their father had to give them back the bowl. They were aware that their father would not part with it. Eventually, their father was feeding their dad while holding the large dish. Ye Jingxia, being the older sibling, feeds his little sister in the same manner as their father does.

In their household, bonding like this already happens frequently.

With the exception of their father and older brother, the majority of their family enjoys sweets. They will still share dessert with the family, though. The only things that Mo Xuejing wished to preserve were these serene and joyous times.

Ye Jieye, after all, asked his wife to use his lap as a pillow and dozed off, the two brats laughing on top of him. Mo Xuejing observes his family having moments like these. He briefly remembered the contents of his dreams, though, and realized that ultimately he still had to make a decision. Simply put, Mo Xuejing had already made up his mind when he opened his eyes, much like Hei Anjing.

Simply put, nobody was aware of his choice.
