I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1279: 18.117 First Grey Star - Cthulhuʼs Goal

Upon Mo Xuejingʼs sudden disappearance together with Ye Jieye, the hunters from both clans were left completely stunned. Two persons had vanished right in before of their eyes, yet teleportation was unknown to mortals living in a world devoid of space and time.

”They disappeared! How is that possible!?”

”I was watching them without blinking. How can they just disappear like that!?”

”Is that even something humans can do? Maybe our heirs were never humans from the beginning.”

”I think you guys are worrying over nothing. Just because the lords disappeared doesnʼt mean we canʼt see them again. They might leave for a bit to look for their cubs.”

Mo Yuhanʼs agonizing cries are still audible in the vicinity. They were aware that pursuing power outside of their knowledge would have this effect. They are not gifted enough, much less connected like Mo Yuhan, to be granted the chance to transform in this way.

However, now that one has fallen asleep, one is meditating, and another is going through a physically painful transition, the others are left with nothing to do but observe. In addition, there are still two gods defending them, and a corrosion-effect dark aura shrouds the region.

A human hunter asked, ”Instructors, what should we do now?”

”Wait. Once all three of them finish what they should be doing, that will be the signal to begin the fight,” Lu Shang said.

”But wonʼt the Moray Eel Sea God die if we donʼt do something to help him?”

”Helping him is good thinking, but... do you have a way to move unaffected by the black aura that tainted the waters?” Leica asked.

The majority of the human hunters became silent when this subject was posed. In a place this contaminated, there is only one path to take. In other words, to purify the water; however, cleansing can only be effected by a light element or a holy aura. They turned to face Doctor Guang, remembering that he was the only member of the team with a light elemental ability.

Under the pressure of countless stares, Doctor Guang panicked. He shook his hands and head while saying, ”My light elements are average. I can only heal and regenerate limbs, but purification is not within my skill set. Only a saint or a hero is capable of such a thing. I canʼt do it.”

For a minute, everyone was lost in their own thoughts. Although their two teachers, Lu Shang and Leica, possessed great power, the only elements at their disposal were water and wind. Ji Yoonjun is likewise quite strong when using his bow, although that is a wood and wind element. The water cannot be purified by it.

Although Doctor Heiʼs talent is also quite potent, it will not work unless he is closer to the target. This is the only place they can stay till Lu Ming awakens from his meditative state. If nothing else, Lu Mingʼs training here aroused a holy aura, therefore they are lucky enough.

”Then are we stuck here until someone saves us?”

”Wait. Once AʼMing wakes up, he might be able to help us purify the water at least. Only then can we fight properly. For now, meditate and wait for the right opportunity. It shouldnʼt take long,” Lu Shang said as he looked at his young brother and waited like the rest.

At the edge of the core zone, the couple that had abruptly vanished from the oceanʼs center suddenly made a reappearance. It appears that they unintentionally traveled to the home of Cthulhu, the God of Madness.

A formation of stones full of cracks and holes. The water here is seldom visible due to the locationʼs gloomy oceanic surroundings. It is too quiet here, too eerie, and you can not help but feel like you are being watched. Sadly, the couples that show up here are not your typical couple. Thus, they were indifferent to the stares and eerie atmosphere of the location.

Mo Xuejing scowled as he noticed how muddy the water was in this vicinity. With a snap of his fingers, a massive bubble engulfed him, and Ye Jieye quickly sifted out the repulsive water he could not stand.

”How dirty is this place for it to turn like this? Should I just freeze this whole damn thing?”

Even if Mo Xuejing was not always that OCDic, she has gotten worse. He gave off the impression of wanting to empty the ocean of all its filth and replace it with clean water. Fortunately, his husband intervened before he could undertake such an insane thing.

Ye Jieye held his hand and smiled. ”Baby, you canʼt remove all the water in the sea and oceans. It would cause a sensation, and a lot of annoying people will look for us at home. Iʼll just purify this place for you.”

”As long as itʼs not dirty, then I donʼt mind,” Mo Xuejing said as he smiled back at him.

The majority of the queries the God of Void had concerned his wife, Hei Anjing. He feels the same way about Mo Xuejing, who he considers to be his soul fragment. Asking him about his past self seems a little inappropriate. so as not to question him about it. Ye Jieye employed elements of light to make the waters they were in pure. Here, the seaʼs murkiness gradually gives way to its purest state.

However, the curse of people who employ negative qualities such as rust, poison, darkness, etc. is purification. Thus, Ye Jieye, who is second only to his older brother Siwang in terms of pure light elements, is here, without realizing it, in the den of the evil god Cthulhu. Purification involved exorcising all negative energies or auras.

SHAAAA~ SHRIEKS~ ARGGH!!!

The sounds of sizzling and screams resound in the crevices. There are quite a lot of them leaving the couple, who didnʼt expect that to happen and turned to look at a stone formation not far away from them.

Ye Jieye asked, ”Did I do that?”

”Did you accidentally kill something?” Mo Xuejing asked.

Ye Jieye said, ”Impossible. Purification has no effect besides cleansing unless one is an evil existence. Huh? Doesnʼt that mean...” He strode toward the gaps and fissures in the rock structure. When he and his spouse peered through the holes, which Ye Jieye lit up with tiny wisps of fire, they noticed, predictably, an inordinate number of small, ugly, black, and half-dead octopuses.

Even a white smoke rising from their corpses is visible, unimpeded by water.

”This is... the kin of that huge, ugly octopus from before?” Mo Xuejing asked.

Ye Jieye responded. ”Must be, Cthulhu might be a God, but he is a real evil one created from all negative wishes of mortals. Humans are greedy. Once their first wish is fulfilled, they will continue to ask for more. Maybe as long as humans exist, so does the God of Madness, Cthulhu does.”

”So would killing these things weaken him?” Mo Xuejing asked.

Ye Jieye looked at his beloved and said, ”Maybe, but... do you want to help those brats? Isnʼt giving Mo Yuhan that orb enough? You even gave a bit of your aura to that boy named Su Jin.”

”Just a bit. A little bit, no more. I just thought it would be a bit interesting that way. Anyway, they will be the ones who will do the fighting in the future,” Mo Xuejing said as he felt his lover sulking for a moment. Obviously, he is jealous that he is willing to help those young men who have nothing to do with them at all.

”Iʼm just a bit bored. Itʼs quite fun to tease them. Anyway, this teleportation is a bit hard to control, but I got used to it. I wonder if those little cubs of ours are eating properly,” Mo Xuejing said.

The God of Void, who couldnʼt control space elements no matter what he did, also deviated from the target teleportation location, regardless of how many times. On the other hand, the wife can instantly take control of all space abilities after a few tries.

Ye Jieye said, ”Donʼt expect too much. They most likely only had snacks the whole time they got separated from us.” He snapped his fingers and instantly burned the ugly octopuses to ashes. His hell flares burn anything, even water.

Mo Xuejing said, ”Letʼs go look for them then. They couldnʼt miss lunch just like this. Do you know where they are, AʼYe?”

”We can ask Zhi Yang or Zhi Yue for it. I will ask where they are then,” Ye Jieye said.

This couple once again departed the area in search of their children after destroying the last members of God Cthulhuʼs kin. It is preferable to get in touch with the people who are staying by their childrenʼs sides and keeping them safe because it is too vast to search. The couple received a response from both systems quite quickly.

They can communicate with Yue and Yang even if they are far away since they are their hosts.

The couple spotted two brats devouring themselves at the anemone nest when they were teleported to the location of the two cubs. It was evident from the fruity and sweet aroma that this substance was primarily made of sweets. When Ye Jingxia and Ye Anxia saw their father and dad arriving, they became terrified.

When Mo Xuejing noticed a few tiny bald patches inside the anemonesʼ nest, she realized the cubs had overindulged in candy and reprimanded them.

”Daddy? Papa?”

”Xiao Jing! Xiao Xia! What did Daddy say about eating sweets!?” Mo Xuejing asked. He scolded the two brats, who ate so many snacks that they didnʼt even feel hungry for lunch.

Ye Jieye observed his two cubs receiving reprimands while kneeling in front of his wife. I obviously had no intention of assisting the two in getting away. It is an uncommon scene. Because of various reasons, they do not often get to spend time together as a family. Even these times were genuinely serene.

---

At the center of the ocean floor...

Lanyu, the Moray Eel God, can hardly stop Cthulhu from starting his murderous rampage in the water. First of all, he is far more powerful than he is in his divine capacity. The Heavenly Laws granted him divinity, becoming him the worldʼs appointed guardian. However, he does not have the same relationship with the skies that his counterpart does.

He is more akin to a direct subordinate and is subject to replacement at any time.

But Cthulhu, the God of Madness, is not like the others. He is a wicked god, formed from the collective negative thoughts of all living things, including humans. One could argue that he is a more well-known god than Sea God Lanyu. Unlike other Gods, he is a God who becomes one by himself. He was powerless to stop this evil entity and could only watch as his disciples were corrupted one by one.

The God of Madness, Cthulhu said: {Iʼve told you many times, Lanyu. The heavens will never be partial to anything or anyone. Even those so-called beloved children of his can be replaced at any time. He is like me, a collection made of wills from humans and living beings. Itʼs just that Iʼm made of negative things instead of positive ones, like the heavenly laws.}

{What are you trying to say? Cthulhu, the heavens will never allow you to leave the sea. You are more dangerous than anything in this place. You are supposed to be the real guardian of this danger zone, but because you rebelled that I was created.} Sea God Lanyu, the Moray Eel God said.

Cthulhu spoke, {My goal was not to leave the sea but to break free from the controls of this world. I refuse to be a mere character in this world. I want to go beyond. Do as I want and go anywhere. So you can... Whatever the reason I have, my goal will be achieved.

To reach that goal, I donʼt mind destroying this world.}

His speech stopped abruptly when he turned to face Lanyu, who was under his tentacles. This Moray Eel God is not like the other beings on this planet, which either die or go insane the instant their tentacles contact someone. The madness inside of him has no effect on him, even prior to Sea God Lanyu being this worldʼs patron saint.
