I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1292: 18.130 First Grey Star - Those who remain, those who leave and those who return home.

The pair parted ways with one another and strolled around the central area while holding hands. The oceanʼs center is black as usual, but that does not bother this couple in the slightest. The two of them compare the sight of the larger-than-life aquatic creatures to strolling through an aquarium tunnel filled with fish and other marine life. A few fire wisps can be seen circling.

They like fireflies in the sea. It gave the serene landscape of the trench yet another lovely touch.

Mo Xuejing asked, ”AʼYe, why do I feel you are trying to spend all your time with me lately? Are you going somewhere else?”

”Itʼs not like that. But as you know, both you and I are not in our real bodies. You can exchange yours with Chaos anytime, but my real body is inside Ruins of Time. If the seal broke, then I have to be in my real body to come out. During those times we will be separated,” Ye Jieye explained.

This tale was told to Mo Xuejing by Grandpa Mu. That the gods that occupy that spooky black tower in the capital are the ones who gave him his current body, and that only his husbandʼs soul had managed to escape the ruins. If what Ye Jieye told him is true, then there is an explanation for this manʼs neediness.

However, the manʼs acts also left him with an unexplained sense, as though something in his heart was causing him anxiety.

”Is that really all?” Mo Xuejing asked. ”Actually, my intuition is giving me a different kind of feeling, as if a warning is about something that involves you. AʼYe, you wonʼt do anything dangerous, wonʼt you?”

This manʼs brief silence gave Mo Xuejing even more cause for concern. Silver and red clashed at each otherʼs sight as the couple gazed into each otherʼs eyes. The tableau was interrupted when the God of Void bent down to kiss Mo Xuejingʼs scarlet lips, even though the atmosphere between the two of them was still a little uneasy.

”I will come back alive. Itʼs not that dangerous. Donʼt worry,” Ye Jieye said.

Mo Xuejing said, ”Coaxing me with a kiss wouldnʼt do! Come here, explain it properly!”

He fled without alerting his spouse, who was acting like a child, and pursued him. The dark underwater realm resounds with the sound of the God of Voidʼs laughter. On the outside, he appeared unconcerned about Ye Jieye, but a voice in his heart was telling him not to believe him. This individual had no regard for his life.

The two that remained behind, however, were still reflecting on what they had heard about the disasters. Fei, the Heavenly Guardian, is doing fine. He only knew that the couple defies heaven in terms of power, therefore, he takes what they say to be true. However, the sea deity Lanyu became a true deity and awoke.

Even though he is stronger than the pair put together, he was aware that they might be outsiders. Perhaps they did not care about these tragedies, but then again, they did not care about other peopleʼs lives either.

Would an immensely strong person assist an ant in resolving their issues? That is just not realistic. Someone might approach, but that is a one-in-a billion chance, unless they are really bored. Judging by the detached way Ye Jieye observes them, he would not intervene until his wife specifically requested it.

He was aware that Ye Jieyeʼs horse was the fearsome black dragon that devoured the Heavenly Laws of this realm. The horse has much greater strength than he does.

Heavenly Guardian Fei asked, ”Senior, if the calamities are real, what should we do?”

”Make preparations. The Calamity of the Land is about to happen, even though itʼs a bit late. Making the two chosen stronger should be prioritized. I will help the one inside the Ocean Pearl. You guys must help the other one; you must find the catalyst that will awaken his power. Iʼm the God of Sea, so helping the one on the Ocean Pearl is my duty.

The other one, you must find a way to help him get stronger. He should already know how to awaken his full ability,” Sea God Lanyu said.

Heavenly Guardian Fei said, ”Indeed, if I am not wrong, the Lu Clanʼs main element is fire. Among the danger zones, there is only one that fits him.: Active Volcano Island, but that place... I donʼt want to go there to become a roasted fish.”

”Where are you going? I have chosen you as my successor. You cannot leave the ocean without my permission!” Sea God Lanyu stated.

The silly fish... I mean, mermaid, look at the sea god Lanyu in disbelief. His expression is almost indescribable, as if seeing a fish flying in the sky. Explore stories at m,v lʼe-

Heavenly Guardian Fei asked, ”Senior, Iʼm half-human, and you chose me as a successor? Can you just choose the one inside the pearl? Iʼm too lazy to move unless necessary.”

”I can turn you into a dried, salted fish right now if you donʼt agree,” Sea God Lanyu said.

Heavenly Guardian Fei said, ”Why choose me? Iʼm lazy and a criminal that killed my own clan. Also, I am a bad person who will take away anything that I find amiss, though I was beaten by Lord Mo, his daughter is indeed too pretty. I wanted to dress her up. I donʼt want to become your successor!”

”So the real reason why you donʼt want to become my successor?” Sea God Lanyu asked nonchalantly, which caught the stupid fish off guard.

Heavenly Guardian Fei said, ”My goal is to become a shut-in salted fish. I donʼt want to work hard!”

Snort!

Sea God Lanyu had grabbed him by the tail and hauled him for harsh training against Heavenly Guardian Feiʼs wishes. His goal was to instruct the indolent brat on how to cultivate divine qi and activate it in order to become a demigod. He did not chose to flee from training, despite the foolish fishʼs constant complaints, which are limited to verbal expressions.

Heavenly Guardian Fei enjoys making jokes, yet he is aware of how terrible the three calamities are. Nor did he want to pass away without having given it his all. Thus, despite his verbal complaints, he took the necessary actions to become a demigod.

Before the Ye family and the other hunter returned to the capital...

Lu Shang assembled the remaining four individuals who would accompany them to the danger zone of the Active Volcano Island. They have authority to assist the brats, but they are not allowed to eliminate the danger zone unless it poses a threat to their life. Leica, on the other hand, opted to watch the other Su Jin, who had been asleep the entire time.

Mo Xuejing said to Leica after glancing at the Ocean Pearl not far from them. ”I had a feeling that the boy inside was about to wake up. Have the rest yourself, Leica.”

”Yes, Lord Mo. Please leave it to me,” Leica said as he slightly bowed his head in respect to his master. He had a feeling that even though Mo Xuejing hasnʼt merged with Loed Hei completely, his soul has been very similar to his masterʼs, and it seems that Lord Hei is about to wake up soon too.

Ye Jieye said to Lu Shang, ”Though we wonʼt get involved with the things in the capital directly, it should hold things for a while. Help that brat get stronger sooner or you might not have any place to return anymore.”

”I will definitely do my best!” Lu Ming said.

Lu Shang bowed his head and saluted. ”Yes, Milord.”

He glanced at Mo Yuhan beside them and said, ”Donʼt waste what my wife has given you. It can be said that what he gave you is more powerful than the blessings your friends had received. Just donʼt lose control over it or you will turn yourself into a human popsicle.”

”Yes, I will train hard,” Mo Yuhan declared.

Ye Jieye also gave Ji Yoonjun a glance. ”You might have a mission, but donʼt overwork yourself.”

Similar like Leica and Lu Shang, Ji Yoonjun merely lowered his back out of politeness and remained silent. Gods of his rank normally could not encounter sovereigns such as the one before them. He works in the God System, although he has not even met the Lord God of that system. He was unsure if this opportunity was fortunate or unlucky.

Ye Jieye had already gone back to where his family was when he looked up. He observed Doctor Hei bidding him farewell by waving his hands. They had no idea when they will cross paths again.

Sea God Lanyu also arrived to bid them farewell. Given that the pair is gods, he extended the utmost civility by sending them some foods and elements that are only available in the ocean as gifts—more like an offering.

”I will try to prepare as much as possible for that day. I wish the Venerable Lords a peaceful journey.”

”You know. You can also choose not to get involved,” Mo Xuejing said with a teasing smile yet a cold gaze.

Sea God Lanyu chose not to mention the lordʼs cold gaze and said, ”This world he used his life to protect, I want to try saving it for the last time. After that, when I meet him again in the future, I can happily tell him that I saved our former home once.”

”Well, do as you wish. Do your best to struggle. Gods are meant to go against the heavens in the first place,” Mo Xuejing said, moving his gaze from this newly born god to his beloved husband and children. ”The gifts are nice. I will keep this in mind.” Looking at his pups with delight, he examined the gifts from Sea God Lanyu as though he were opening a new box of toys.

Ye Jingxia and Ye Anxia even played like a ball with a night pearl the size of a human head.

His eyes, as always, convey that only these three people are able to maintain eye contact with him. As though they were the only people who could make him move and the only ones permitted to exist in the world he is in. Ye Jieye eventually called upon Roi, the Black Dragon, to help them surface the sea and make their way back to the capital.

Those left behind cast a slightly sorrowful glance at their leaving figures.

Mo Yuhan said, ”Theyʼre gone. I wonder what happened in the capital.”

”Donʼt worry. No matter what is happening in the capital, once the lords are there, the situation should stabilize for a while. Even so, you guys need to complete your mission as soon as you can. They have no responsibility to protect this world after all,” Leica said to Lu Ming and Mo Yuhan.

The sea deity told Lu Ming and Mo Yuhan about the three disasters. They became aware that the tranquil world they had been living in had changed after hearing the news. When they faced the Evil Octopus God, Cthulhu, they were fully aware of their disparity in strength. Ants and mortals fighting godlike monsters were the same.

If they wish to save this world and their loved ones, they must become stronger.

”We will get stronger as much as we can! Instructor Lu Shang, please make us stronger!” Lu Ming and Mo Yuhan said as they bent their backs before Lu Shang.

Lu Shang said, ”Thatʼs good. Then I will train you as much as you wish to die.”

The expressionless face of their instructor broke into a smile of amusement. This man is an excellent leader and trainer of soldiers, having served as the Chief Warden and War God guarding the Nether System. Simply put, individuals who underwent training felt as though they had gone through hell more than once. The two brats felt a shudder creep up their backs as they saw Li Shang grinning.

They felt a momentary regret for the words they had just said.

Lu Shang looked at his lover and said, ”I will be back. Take care of yourself while Iʼm away.”

”I should be saying that. Obviously, no one in your group can cook at all. Good luck with that,” Leica said.

Lu Shang said, ”They can at least barbecue things. Putting some meat over fire should be enough.”

”At least, put in some condiments. Sigh~ take care,” Leica said as he bid them farewell.

After some time, Lu Shang and Ji Yoonjun moved out of the water and toward another dangerous area, carrying the two bats behind them. With Su Jin within the Ocean Pearl and Heavenly Guardian Fei undergoing rigorous training, Leica and Sea God Lanyu were the only ones remaining. To complete their own tasks, the two parted ways.
