Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 284: Chapter 257: He Really Is Ancestor Man!

The daughter’s boyfriend is an ancestral being?

If it were before, Father Liu wouldn’t dare entertain this idea even if you beat him to death.

The reason is simple.

The world is so big.

With a population of seven to eight billion.

How could it possibly happen that his daughter would meet one?

Furthermore, he became her boyfriend?

The odds are like winning the Huaxia lottery.

Father Liu wouldn’t dare imagine such a thing!

Yes, under normal circumstances, he indeed wouldn’t consider such a possibility.

However, Father Liu just finished watching the videos played by Liu Ke Ping.

He saw Lu Li’s inhuman burst of power and miraculous medical skills that totally defied understanding.

If that’s the case, maybe Lu Li being an ancestral being isn’t so far-fetched after all.

But Father Liu still had some doubts, looking uncertainly to the left, ”I see that Lu Li’s physical abilities are above the norm, but isn’t saying he’s an ancestral being a bit exaggerated?”

Liu Ke Ping blinked, ”What’s so exaggerated about it?”

Father Liu analyzed in detail, ”Even if he runs fast and has explosive strength, he’s still flesh and bone. Like in the video just now, I saw his arm getting scratched when he broke open the car roof. An ancestral being is supposed to be invincible — even rifle bullets and tank shells can’t penetrate them. There’s a clear disparity in strength. How can we be sure he’s an ancestral being?”

Indeed, how could someone who gets scratched breaking a car roof be compared to an ancestral being who can withstand rifle and tank fire!

Father Liu having this doubt isn’t surprising.

Liu Ke Ping responded, ”Did you notice in the first video, his running speed was about seventy kilometers per hour in other words, a hundred meters in about five seconds? But in the second video, he covered thirty meters in less than a second.”

Father Liu suddenly realized, ”You mean he might be growing stronger over time?”

Liu Ke Ping confirmed, ”That’s right. The interval between the two events was less than a week; his sprint speed for a hundred meters shortened from five to under three seconds, with three seconds being a conservative estimate. The incident in Mexico happened two months after he lifted a one-ton crate at Longda Machinery. Given that he improved his sprint speed so much in a week, it’s not impossible his strength increased significantly in two months.”

Father Liu remained skeptical.

Liu Ke Ping observed his father’s doubts and spoke unhurriedly, ”I just found a video that directly proves he is continuously getting stronger.”

”Which video?” Father Liu asked.

Liu Ke Ping scrolled through, ”This is a video from ten days ago of Lu Li fighting illegal matches in Los Angeles. The first punch knocking someone out isn’t much to see, so I’ll just show you the end.”

He played the video, dragging the progress bar to the end.

Father Liu watched intently as Lu Li swung his palm, severing over a dozen steel railings!

His pupils dilated in shock, ”Previously, he injured himself breaking open a car roof, and now he’s splitting steel railings without a scratch?”

Liu Ke Ping gravely noted, ”That’s why I said he might be continuously getting stronger!”

Father Liu was astounded, ”Are you saying he could really be an ancestral being?”

Liu Ke Ping added indirect evidence, ”When Lu Li was fighting in Los Angeles, he used the alias ’ancestral being.’

Father Liu was taken aback, ”He used ’ancestral being’ as his alias for illegal fighting, and the one running rampant in Mexico also called himself an ancestral being?”

What are the odds of two people with extraordinary abilities sharing the same name and alias?

From all current evidence, there’s a more than ninety percent probability that Lu Li is the fearsome ancestral being causing havoc in Mexico!

The other ten percent is Father Liu being cautious, as there’s no direct evidence; hence, he only gave a ninety percent certainty.

Liu Ke Ping casually said, ”Watch the two videos sent from Mexico first, then I’ll show you a picture of Lu Li. If you still don’t think he’s the ancestral being, I won’t have anything left to say.”

Of course, Father Liu wanted to confirm if his daughter’s boyfriend was the ancestral being.

He quickly said, ”Stop dilly-dallying, show me the videos and photo.”

Liu Ke Ping agreed, first playing the video of Lu Li single-handedly confronting members of the Jalisco Group in Oaxaca.

In the video, over a hundred Jalisco Group members wielding rifles, two main battle tanks, and four Ajax armored vehicles were fiercely attacking a peculiar figure in mid-air.

The hail of bullets and shells was all blocked by the white light surrounding the ”strange person.”

This was followed by a one-sided massacre, with the ”strange person” emitting white beams from his fingers, slicing the tanks, armored vehicles, and Jalisco members in half.

The scene was incredibly impactful.

Yet, Father Liu showed a doubtful expression, ”I’ve seen this video, what’s wrong with it?”

Liu Ke Ping teased without direct explanation, playing the next video, ”Watch this second video, then tell me.”

Father Liu suppressed his curiosity.

He focused intently on the second video.

This video was even more shocking than the previous one.

Father Liu saw a mass of white light trailing a long luminous tail swiftly crossing the sky, arriving at a small town hidden in a hilly area.

When the white light stopped, Father Liu saw that it was a person dressed identically to the ”strange person” in the previous video, though their faces seemed very different.

He curbed his curiosity, continuing to watch the screen.

At the town’s exit, about a hundred men were fully armed, each holding high-energy laser guns. Upon seeing the ”strange person” stop, they immediately aimed and fired their laser guns at the target.

This time, the ”strange person” dispelled the white light, allowing the barrage of high-energy laser guns to hit his body.

Amazingly, the ”strange person” remained unharmed once again.

Though this scene was touching, Father Liu found the previous video more magnificent.

After all, tanks and armored vehicles were involved, which in terms of firepower, were much more powerful than a hundred high-energy laser guns.

Because he understood the weapon’s power, Father Liu became very confused, looking up to ask, ”What are you trying to show with these two videos?”

Liu Ke Ping said, ”The video hasn’t ended yet, but since you asked, I’ll highlight the key points for you to note.”

Father Liu perked up his ears to listen attentively.

Liu Ke Ping retorted, ”Did you pay attention to what he was wearing in the two videos?”

Father Liu thought for a moment and glanced at the ”stranger” on the screen again. ”In both videos, he was wearing a white T-shirt and jeans. In the second video, I vaguely saw a funny skull on his white T-shirt, and his jeans were ripped, looking somewhat like an alternative style.”

Liu Ke Ping was surprised, ”You even know about alternative styles?”

Father Liu replied irritably, ”I’m just old, not living in the last century—how could I not know about alternative styles? What are you trying to say?”

Liu Ke Ping smiled, took out another phone from his pocket, opened the gallery, found a photo, and handed it to Father Liu, saying, ”Look at this picture yourself.”

Father Liu shifted his gaze from the video to the photo.

The photo showed an incredibly handsome young man standing.

He wore a white T-shirt with a funny skull printed on it and a pair of ripped jeans.

This outfit was almost identical to that of the ”stranger” in the two videos earlier!

Since Father Liu had secretly investigated Lu Li’s information before, he could recognize at a glance that the young man in the photo wearing the funny outfit was indeed his daughter’s boyfriend, Lu Li.

The clothes Lu Li wore in the photo were indeed funny.

However, Old Liu couldn’t find it funny at all.

In fact, he felt a chill run down his spine!

Because at this moment, Father Liu finally confirmed one thing: the ”stranger” in the two videos was indeed Lu Li himself!

He took a sharp breath, ”Hiss, this... this...”

Father Liu was so shocked that he could hardly speak!

Liu Ke Ping continued for his father.

He said in a solemn and firm tone, ”That’s right, Lu Li is the ancestor!”

As soon as these words left his mouth, Father Liu was so startled that his eyes widened!

Lu Li is the ancestor?

His daughter’s boyfriend is really the ancestor?

Someone who single-handedly turned the huge nation of Mexico, covering over a million square kilometers, upside down?

Father Liu shuddered all over, finally recalling the meaning of what Liu Ke Ping had said before.

What did Liu Ke Ping say then? He said that Lu Li’s identity was not that simple!

At that time, Father Liu didn’t take it seriously at all and even scolded Liu Ke Ping.

He also said things like, ”You think I’m easily scared,” and ”Are you teaching me how to do things?”

Now that he knew Lu Li was really the ancestor, Father Liu could only say that he was almost scared to death!

For a moment, Father Liu was sweating profusely but also felt secretly lucky.

It’s fortunate he didn’t act on his own and take Liu Kexin back to the Ugly Country!

If Lu Li got angry, not even ten Liu Families would be enough for destruction!

You thought I’m easily scared?

You’re teaching me how to do things?

Father Liu’s heart was trembling intensely.

At this moment, he suddenly felt that there was nothing wrong with his son teaching him how to do things.

If it weren’t for Liu Ke Ping’s cleverness in finding out Lu Li’s background, a great disaster would have struck!

Frightened.

Old Liu was truly terrified, sitting there in silence.

The video continued to play slowly.

Suddenly, a blinding blue flash appeared in the distance.

Immediately after that, Father Liu and Liu Ke Ping saw with their own eyes a visible ring-shaped shockwave shaking the earth and sky before the camera shattered instantly, as if something horrific had happened.

Father Liu quickly turned to his son and asked, ”What happened?”

Liu Ke Ping said softly, ”Although the Michoacán explosion was concealed by various countries, as a business tycoon, you should know something about it, right?”

Chills ran all through Father Liu as his hair stood on end.

He already had the answer but still asked in disbelief, ”Are you saying Lu Li...?”

Liu Ke Ping nodded forcefully, ”That’s right, Lu Li unleashed a force comparable to a nuclear bomb, destroying four to five square kilometers in Michoacán!”

Upon hearing this, Father Liu sunk onto the sofa in shock, his limbs trembling slightly.

Initially, when he found out Lu Li was the ancestor, he knew provoking him would have terrifying consequences.

But after hearing Liu Ke Ping’s words, Father Liu realized that the previously assumed horrifying consequences were nothing.

The real horror was that Lu Li himself was a nuclear weapon-like presence that the entire world dreaded!

The most crucial thing is, other countries need a series of preparations to use nuclear weapons, whereas Lu Li could unleash such powerful force anytime and anywhere!

What does this represent?

It means that if Lu Li was truly dissatisfied with the Liu Family, no one in the world could protect them!

Father Liu was so scared that his face turned pale, slumped there, his eyes vacant as if his mind had been shattered.

Liu Ke Ping saw his father not speaking and did not insist on ”persuading” him like before.

Because Liu Ke Ping knew his father understood the seriousness and would make the most appropriate choice.

Silence spread across the living room.

As if, at this instant, time itself had stopped flowing.

After a long while, Father Liu seemed to come up with something, his pale face gradually regaining some color, and his vacant eyes began to turn bright.

Suddenly, he stood up, decisively saying, ”Call Kexin down right away, have her set up a meal with Lu Li... no, Mr. Lu, and remember to treat your sister nicely, don’t act high and mighty!”
