Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 266: Chapter 242: Already Behaving, Begging for Mercy (Part 2)

Naturally, Oseguera was utterly shocked to witness this scene!

Immediately, it was an almost one-sided massacre.

A beam of white light shot from the Ancestor’s fingers like a straight water column, sweeping across the tanks, armored vehicles, and over a hundred armed men on the ground.

In an instant, the tanks, armored vehicles, and more than a hundred rifle-wielding men were all sliced in half!

Oseguera, shocked, slumped weakly onto the sofa, his eyes filled with disbelief and terror!

He had long suspected that the Ancestor might be formidable.

However, he never imagined just how formidable!

So formidable that Oseguera’s heart almost stopped beating.

His fear of the Ancestor peaked at this moment!

...

At an internet cafe somewhere in Mexico.

Over a hundred people were originally online handling some procedures that required the internet. Only a few were chatting online, almost no one was playing online games, and very few were watching videos.

Suddenly, someone unknowingly shouted, ”Quick, look at the news.”

Immediately, many people curiously opened a news webpage for a glance.

This glance was a revelation.

In a moment, the large internet cafe fell into silence.

This situation lasted for about three to four seconds, as if the radio had been paused.

However, after three or four seconds, the entire internet cafe suddenly erupted in chaos!

”Oh my God!”

”This... are you sure this isn’t a sci-fi movie?”

”News from a national news site, how could it be a sci-fi movie?”

”My goodness, even leaving aside the fact that a human body withstood attacks from more than a hundred rifles, he also blocked attacks from tanks and armored vehicles?”

”Gasp! His fingers can shoot energy waves? Instantly cutting tanks in half?”

”Oh my God, am I really not dreaming?”

”Impossible! Impossible! How can such a powerful human exist in the world?”

”I can hardly believe my eyes, is he a superhuman?”

”This... is this the Ancestor? Look, he carved the word ’No Mercy’ in English on the ground, watered with the blood of those killed, matching the Ancestor’s reported style almost exactly!”

”Heavens! Heavens! So the Ancestor is actually a living human?”

”Flying freely in the sky, shooting energy rays from his fingers, ignoring tank and armored vehicle bombardment, and you call that a human?”

”Could the Ancestor be God?”

”Although the video quality isn’t very clear, he does seem to look a bit like an Oriental. Could God be an Oriental?”

”One person taking on two tanks, four armored vehicles, more than a hundred rifle-armed men, and coming out completely victorious?”

”Oh my, the Ancestor is truly terrifying!”

Everyone in the internet cafe had witnessed the terrifying scene of the Ancestor exterminating members of the Jalisco Group in Oaxaca, each one shockingly unable to contain themselves!

Similar scenes were unfolding across Mexico as well!

Shouts of astonishment, doubt, and amazement echoed everywhere on the streets, in companies, in internet cafes, and at home.

Five hundred people!

Three thousand people!

Fourteen thousand people!

The number of people viewing the news was skyrocketing!

All of Mexico was engulfed in shock over the Ancestor.

The shock spread like wildfire across all of Mexico!

...

At the same time.

Elsewhere, at the hotel.

Zhou Jinming, Zhu Fangming, and Fu Min, among others, were still in another ”dimension,” oblivious to the outside world.

They were outside Lu Li’s room.

Knock, knock, knock.

”Mr. Lu?”

”Mr. Lu, are you awake?”

Zhou Jinming knocked on the door for two or three minutes, but there was no response from inside.

Xiaofang quietly said, ”Could Mr. Lu still be sleeping? Maybe we shouldn’t disturb him.”

”Sleeping at this time?”

Zhou Jinming was stunned for a moment, then his expression turned serious.

He analyzed seriously, ”Could it be that Mr. Lu got injured last night? So he’s treating his injuries now?”

Fu Min exclaimed, ”Mr. Lu is such a powerful superman, could he be injured by mere mortals?”

Zhou Jinming’s expression was not pleasant, ”Why not? Even if Mr. Lu is incredible, he’s still made of flesh and blood. Those thugs were armed; it’s not impossible they could injure Mr. Lu.”

Zhu Fangming was skeptical, ”Boss, you might have a point, but last time in Tijuana, even tank fire left Mr. Lu unscathed. Are you sure a few small-time criminals with guns could harm Mr. Lu?”

Zhou Jinming waved his hand, ”Old Zhu, you don’t get it, do you? I watched carefully last time; the reason tank fire didn’t hurt Mr. Lu was because a wave of white light surrounded him, like an energy shield from a novel. I think Mr. Lu’s defensive power comes from that white light. His physical defense might not be very strong, and firearms could potentially hurt him. That’s why he’s not responding; he’s probably recovering from his injuries. I’m telling you, a person like Mr. Lu has a lot of pride. If he’s accidentally injured, let’s just keep it to ourselves and never bring it up in front of him, or else he might lose face.”

Zhu Fangming gave a thumbs-up, ”As expected of the boss! You analyzed things we didn’t even think of and immediately told us what to do!”

Zhou Jinming smiled, ”Now you know why I’m your leader, right? I’ve been in this line of work for so many years; my only talent is being good at analysis!”
