Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 253: Chapter 232: Reporting to the Boss, We’ve Spotted Iron Man

Lu Li, simmering with unexpressed anger, activated his biological force field without hesitation as soon as he left the factory area and shot up towards the sky.

While flying, he took out his phone, quickly found the built-in map, and searched for Mexico City to navigate.

Yes, Lu Li had no intention of entering Mexico by conventional means, as it was far too cumbersome.

Firstly, he would have to schedule a visa appointment, wait for two to three weeks, and even with expedited processing, it would still take two to five working days to get the visa.

Even if he got the visa, flying over would still be quite laborious.

Currently, there are no direct flights from Huaxia to Mexico, all require a layover, with travel times reaching up to sixty hours, at the very least twenty hours.

If he had that time, he might as well fly directly by himself.

During the speed test after the third deep evolution, maintaining energy consumption balance, his speed reached 252 kilometers per hour.

Mexico City is 12,000 kilometers from Shanghai.

Converted, it would take about forty-eight continuous hours of flying.

Moreover, it had been over ten days since the third deep evolution, and he was much stronger than before, with faster flying speed, maybe he could make it there within a day.

Provided he didn’t take the wrong route.

Lu Li also wanted to know how fast he could go while maintaining an energy consumption balance.

As soon as he took to the sky, he promptly increased his speed to 70 meters per second.

This speed was the optimal flying speed right after the third deep evolution.

Thanks to the biological force field, he felt no discomfort at such a high speed, not even the sound of the wind was heard.

”Now I can gradually increase the speed to see what my current optimal flying speed is.”

With this thought, Lu Li pierced through a cloud layer, gradually increasing his speed.

At 100 meters per second, he felt it was effortless.

At 160 meters per second, energy replenishment was still keeping up.

At 190 meters per second, although energy absorption still matched consumption, it wasn’t quite as leisurely as before.

Here, Lu Li began to increase speed more slowly, knowing he was nearing the limit.

Sure enough, when the speed increased to 230 meters per second, the consumption rate about balanced out.

Lu Li had no choice but to gradually slow down.

When he decreased to 215 meters per second, it was just in balance.

”Eh?” Lu Li wondered with a hint of surprise, ”My flying speed actually reached 774 kilometers per hour?”

This speed was undoubtedly frightening.

The cruising speed of domestic passenger flights generally ranges from 500 to 600 kilometers per hour.

Long international flights typically have a cruising speed of about 700 kilometers per hour.

Of course, some long-range international flight passenger planes might be relatively faster, reaching around 1,120 kilometers per hour.

For example, a certain aircraft manufacturer recently launched an ultra-high-speed commercial airplane, with speeds even exceeding 2,000 kilometers per hour.

”To some extent, my current flying speed is similar to commercial airplanes, though it still can’t compare to fighter jets.”

Lu Li silently contemplated.

Fighter jets fly at incredibly high speeds, generally above Mach 2.

Some high-performance fighter jets can even reach or exceed Mach 3.

Although I’m not as fast as a fighter jet, I’m quite satisfied with 774 kilometers per hour.

Because it’s a speed that balances both consumption and recovery.

Based on previous experiences, without considering energy consumption, it could be increased by 30%.

That means potentially reaching a terrifying 1,006 kilometers per hour!

”When did my speed become so fast?”

Lu Li thought about it carefully and roughly understood the reason.

A while ago in the Ugly Country, he discovered that his biological force field had doubled in strength.

Estimating based on that level, his flying speed could reach approximately 140 meters per second.

Now, several days later, there had been another faulty evolution, with the biological force field greatly improved, so the increased speed was only normal.

”Let’s see how large the biological force field is, and I can roughly judge.”

While thinking, Lu Li maximized his biological force field.

In the next moment, the originally two-meter radius force field expanded and swelled, encapsulating about six to seven meters around.

”Indeed!” Lu Li pondered thoughtfully, ”My biological force field has grown more than twice since the third deep evolution.”

Thus, his flying speed had increased proportionately from 252 kilometers per hour to the current 774 kilometers per hour.

The enhancement of the biological force field should have a direct relation to the ”Primordial Spirit” and physical condition.

Lu Li deduced that the explosive power from using microscopic vision to condense ”volcanic ash” subatomic particles might reach between 1.5 to two Little Boy nuclear bomb yields.

For the moment, he’s not entirely sure.

As previously, he simply used his power to make a rough guess.

Now, with analysis based on previous assumptions, there might be some data deviation.

As Lu Li always estimates on the lower limit rather than pushing for the upper limit, it’s highly likely that his full potential might exceed current estimates.

”With such formidable power, uprooting the Jalisco Group shouldn’t be a problem.”

Lu Li was relatively satisfied, ”Actually, even if I was only as strong as after completing the third deep evolution, I could manage it, though with more difficulty.”

He no longer concerned himself with how much stronger he had become and continued flying towards his destination.

Lu Li was overwhelmingly furious, so much so that he wished to destroy the Jalisco Group entirely at once, leaving no room for other thoughts.

Perhaps due to his intense anger, he felt that his body was in this state of suppressed rage, with growth hormones being secreted massively, and all his organs were simultaneously growing rapidly.

It was as if something was aiding the growth hormones to help his body swiftly evolve.

Typically, Lu Li would calm down and ponder this carefully.

But at this moment, he was too furious, and had no mind space for contemplation.

...

Elsewhere.

East China Air Defense Center.

It was just past the busy period.

Xiaoli, as usual, made himself a cup of coffee.

He stood in front of the surveillance screen, keeping watch on the recordings.

Actually, there’s nothing much to record, just in case.

”Xiaoli, how’s it going over there?”

Colleague Xiaozhou asked casually.

There were four or five other colleagues next to him responsible for monitoring other things.

Xiaoli took a sip of coffee.

He glanced casually at the image transmitted by the air defense system.

He replied nonchalantly, ”Everything is... whoa!”

Before finishing his sentence, Xiaoli’s coffee sprayed out of his mouth.

He stood up with a start, staring wide-eyed at the information transmitted back by the control system!

”Hey, are you out of your mind? You sprayed coffee on the equipment!” Xiaozhou was a bit far away, although he didn’t see the signal image, he saw the coffee from Xiaoli’s mouth sprayed onto the equipment, ”Why aren’t you wiping it off? The boss will have your hide if he finds out!”

But Xiaoli seemed dumbfounded, utterly deaf to any words.

Xiaozhou was almost frantic, ”What’s the matter with you?”

He ran over while shouting, ”I really don’t want to... oh oh oh!”

Before he could finish his words, he was also stunned by the image he saw!

”Huh?”

”Xiaozhou, Xiaoli, what are you doing?”

”Why aren’t you talking?”

”Did the coffee mess up the equipment?”

”If it did, that’s serious, go report it now!”

The colleagues started worrying too.

One by one, they looked over there.

Then...

Then everyone was dumbfounded!

Approximately a few seconds of silence.

Like a transmission lag, Xiaoli burst out a curse, ”Holy crap!”

Then Xiaozhou followed with a ”Holy crap!”

Suddenly, the monitoring station, which only had five or six people, echoed with continuous cries of ”Holy crap!”

”Holy crap!”

”Oh my gosh!”

”Is there something wrong with my eyes?”

”Damn, am I dreaming?”

Everyone stared in shock at the images transmitted back by the control system.

In the surveillance footage, a humanoid figure was flying towards the East Sea at a speed akin to an international flight.

Dumbfounded!

Everyone was scared stiff!

A humanoid object flying at the speed of an international flight?

”Wha... what the hell is that?” Xiaoli muttered in a daze.

Xiaozhou, with a vacant look, didn’t even notice the towel he was about to use to wipe the water had fallen, ”Could... could it be Iron Man?”

The group was stunned for a few more seconds.

Suddenly, someone reacted and shouted loudly, ”Quick, notify the boss! It’s serious! Something big has happened! Hurry up!”

Xiaozhou snapped out of it and rushed outside.

The rest hastily grabbed phones making calls.

”Hello, leader, something serious, we’ve discovered Iron Man!”

”Iron Man? Are you still dreaming?”

”Really! Really! Hurry and come to the monitoring station!”

The notification spread rapidly.

Before long, a large group of people came rushing in, crowding in front of the screen.

There were probably around twenty people.

Then the twenty or so newcomers were also shocked!

Astonished!

Everyone in the monitoring station was dumbfounded!

Turns out, there really was something similar to Iron Man flying at high speed!

The bald, over sixty-year-old man in charge took a deep breath first.

He quickly issued commands, ”Lock down all information! I’ll report to the higher-ups now! You keep all the images saved! Keep an eye on this thing constantly!”

Having said that, his old arms and legs moved like wind and fire wheels.

His hundred-meter speed was almost reaching Bolt’s level, and he shot out like a streak.

The news of ”Iron Man” appearing in real life was reported up layer by layer!

Surprised!

Incredulous!

The high-level officials in the East China Region all found out about this, and they were all utterly incredulous!

Eventually, more and more people flocked to the monitoring station to witness it, yet the news didn’t leak a bit.

Everyone was watching the image relayed back by the air defense system.

Trying to figure out what the heck this ”Iron Man” like object was.

At the same time, air defense commands were issued one after another, ready to send bombers to shoot it down at any moment!

Initially, people really had no idea about the situation.

Even bombers were ready.

Just waiting for the order to immediately shoot down this Iron Man-like thing.

At this critical moment, a leader named Gu Wei received the news and immediately called and came to the air defense center.

The first thing he said was, ”Don’t act immediately, I might know who he is!”
