Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 265: Chapter 242: They’ve Surrendered, Please Let Us Go

The Jalisco Group was in complete chaos!

The conference call was filled with voices of terror.

Suddenly, someone screamed, ”Quick, turn on the TV and watch the news!”

Cervantes shouted angrily, ”You still have the mood to watch the news at a time like this?”

The person who spoke earlier said aggrievedly, ”It’s not that I’m in the mood to watch the news, but the news is reporting something related to us, and... it seems someone has caught footage of the Ancestor!”

”What?”

”Someone captured the Ancestor on camera?”

”Quick, turn on the TV so I can see.”

As the saying goes, the unknown is the most terrifying.

Now that someone had filmed the Ancestor, Cervantes, Carlos, and others wanted to ”break the mystery” and thus dispel their inner fear.

Then all the mid-and-high-level members of the Jalisco Group turned on their TVs to see what the Ancestor looked like.

And then...

Hmm, there’s nothing else after that.

Cervantes, Carlos, and other big and small heads of the Jalisco Group gasped involuntarily when they saw on the news the scene of the Ancestor single-handedly sweeping through tanks and armored vehicles!

...

In a certain basement.

At this moment, the lights were bright.

Oseguera, although in hiding, was always following the development of the enmity between the Jalisco Group and the Ancestor.

Or rather, almost all the evil actions of the Jalisco Group at present originated from his orders.

For instance, he initially had someone release a video of hostages being killed to provoke the Ancestor.

Then, when the Ancestor indeed appeared.

It was again Oseguera who ordered his men to kill indiscriminately.

His purpose was to lure the Ancestor to Michoacán for encirclement, so as to capture him alive on the spot.

Tick-tock.

”Hmm? A message?”

Oseguera took out a specially-made anti-tracking phone and glanced at it.

Only to see that Cervantes had sent the message: Boss, watch the news.

At that moment, Oseguera was a bit stunned.

Not knowing why Cervantes would want him to watch the news.

However, he instinctively realized that it was likely related to the Ancestor.

So, curious, Oseguera turned on the TV and took a look.

As soon as the TV screen lit up, he saw a familiar environment.

It was the beach near the Oaxaca stronghold.

The base, converted from an old kelp factory, was clearly visible.

And at this moment, two main battle tanks and four Ajax armored vehicles suddenly charged out of the factory.

Following the tanks and armored vehicles were over a hundred men armed with rifles, shouting and yelling excitedly into the air.

This video seemed to have been filmed from a distance, not very clear.

Oseguera was dumbfounded for a moment, not understanding why the brothers in Oaxaca had brought out the tanks and armored vehicles.

Until he saw a long white line on top of the screen fiercely cutting down on the foremost tank, then he realized what was happening.

”The Ancestor has attacked Oaxaca?”

Oseguera’s heart tightened.

He didn’t yet know about the annihilation of the Southern Kyushu stronghold.

However, upon seeing the white line, he became extraordinarily focused, staring intently at the screen, wanting to see how powerful this white line was.

The next moment, Oseguera saw it.

Only to see the white line slicing into the tank’s thick armor, like a kitchen knife cutting through tofu, instantly slicing the tank and the people inside into two halves!

Then, the camera wobbled, seemingly shooting towards the sky.

A ”person” in a white T-shirt and ripped jeans, whose face couldn’t be seen, was suspended in mid-air.

And the white line was bursting out from this ”person’s” extended right index finger!

Seeing this, Oseguera was instantly dumbstruck.

He was shocked inside, ”This... the Ancestor is really just one person? With no equipment support at all?”

How is that possible!

How can a human shoot white light from their fingers!

The most crucial part, this white light is incredibly terrifying in power.

It instantly sliced through a tank with thick armor, along with the people inside, in one go!

Oseguera felt a chill on his back.

For the first time, he truly realized what a terrifying monster he had provoked!

As he was overwhelmed with fear, the remaining tank, the four Ajax armored vehicles, and over a hundred rifle-wielding men all began firing towards the sky.

An even more terrifying scene emerged out of nowhere.

As a hail of bullets and shells approached the man in mid-air, a faint white glow suddenly appeared around him, followed by brilliant explosions.

Seeing this, Oseguera felt a flicker of joy.

He thought the opponent had been blown to pieces by the tank and Ajax armored vehicles’ shells.

But when the light and dust gradually cleared, the man in the video was actually... unharmed!

The joy on Oseguera’s face froze instantly, turning to astonishment visible to the naked eye!

He could never have imagined that the Ancestor was so powerful that he was immune to the bombardment of tanks and armored vehicles!

Shooting white beams of light, withstanding bullets and shells with his body, these feats might mean nothing to Lu Li himself, considering that he had even used his Biological Force Field Shield to resist cluster bombs, so what would mere tank, armored vehicle shells, and rifle bullets amount to?

However, Oseguera, or rather all the people on Earth, had never witnessed anyone who could withstand bullets and shells with their body, let alone emit high-energy beams from their fingers to instantly cut through tanks and armored vehicles!
