Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 280: Chapter 253: Perfect Unity of Body and Spirit

The plane slowly took off.

This flight will first head to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, about a ten-hour journey.

Once in Paris, there will be about a five-hour layover.

After another twelve and a half hours, he can return to Shanghai.

Considering the ten or so hours of flight.

Lu Li reclined his seat.

Comfortably lying there.

He was checking his condition, ”Since I arrived in Mexico with anger, my evolution has greatly accelerated over these few days. Now my body, like before the third deep evolution, has stopped continued evolution. It seems it’s because the accumulated energy is insufficient to enter the fourth deep evolution.”

This matter is quite easy to resolve.

Now I’ve developed the superpower of directly absorbing energy and converting it into energy rays.

As long as I return to the country, find a continuous ”energy source,” and keep absorbing energy, it will work.

Finding a continuous ”energy source” in the country is no trouble at all.

I just need to find Gu Wei to help provide a large power station to solve the problem.

What Lu Li is curious about now is:

Once I complete the fourth deep evolution,

to what extent will my body be enhanced?

And what powerful superpowers will I gain from it?

He estimated his current physical strength and mastered superpowers.

First, in terms of physical strength.

When I just completed the third deep evolution, I could jump over thirty meters high, and sprinting a hundred meters in less than a second, with a casual punch exceeding fifteen tons.

Afterward, my physical quality increased by at least three or four times.

So, in terms of strength, I’m probably approaching a forty-ton punch, maybe even higher.

This hasn’t been tested yet, so it remains unknown for now.

The improvement in jumping and sprinting might be even more significant.

As for pure physical quality, I might already be sixty-four times the peak of a normal person.

”This level of physical strength is already terrifying.”

Lu Li believes that even without using any superpower, he could punch a tank to pieces.

After all, my fist is relatively small.

The strength gathered in such a small area.

The destructive power appears terrifying, of course.

”If I complete the fourth deep evolution, based on past experience, my strength would at least double.”

Lu Li thought to himself, ”In other words, my physical quality might exceed a hundred times that of a normal person. By then, the strength might be beyond normal means to calculate. Theoretically, at that stage, I should almost catch up with the Homelanders.”

The Homelanders could break the sound barrier at seven years old, and in their prime, at least several times the speed of sound.

I have already broken the sound barrier now.

After the fourth deep evolution, I should also reach several times the speed of sound.

The Homelander once stated he could lift a plane, yet the plane’s structure couldn’t withstand it.

So, just from analyzing strength, his should exceed a hundred tons but not surpass a thousand tons.

Lu Li now already has dozens of tons of strength.

With another deep evolution, catching up with the Homelander is not an issue.

Most importantly, the Homelanders don’t have a Biological Force Field, but I do.

”After the fourth deep evolution, my sheer power should surpass the Homelander’s.”

Lu Li’s eyes gleamed, ”By then, I might not even need to eat beef.”

He couldn’t help but ponder a question.

By then, could his biological power withstand a nuclear blast?

Lu Li knows he won’t have an answer for now; it’ll only be clear after the fourth deep evolution.

No need to rush.

He’ll see when the time comes.

He started to recall which superpowers he possessed.

His super hearing evolved into a Downwind Ear.

His super vision evolved into a Thousand-Mile Eye.

Also, advanced life pheromones, mind control, microscopic vision, conscious projection, and Primordial Spirit separation.

”All these superpowers will evolve with personal evolution. I estimate that after the fourth deep evolution, all superpowers will undergo a complete upgrade.”

Lu Li couldn’t help but marvel.

The speed of his evolution was remarkably swift.

From unlocking the genetic lock to now, merely two or three months have passed, and he’s almost comparable to the Homelanders.

If this pace continues, it might not take long to acquire ”nation-destroying” level abilities.

He felt a bit lost for a moment, not knowing what ”becoming a god” would entail if he evolved to the ultimate stage.

As he pondered, Lu Li suddenly noticed a situation.

The Little Golden Man was not in the lower abdomen’s position.

Instead, it returned to the Mud Ball Palace.

”Eh?” Lu Li was taken aback. ”When did the Little Golden Man return to the Mud Ball Palace? How did I not sense it?”

He recalled carefully.

It seemed that when he developed the superpower of directly absorbing energy, the Little Golden Man no longer actively channeled energy rays for self-evolution.

Could it be... that the Little Golden Man returned to the Mud Ball Palace then?

Lu Li barely slept these past two days.

And was busy hunting the Jalisco Group members all along.

He hadn’t noticed the energy changes at all.

Now realizing this situation, he focused his attention on the energy changes.

Soon, he detected a substantial quantity of energy rays converging in his mind, being absorbed by the Little Golden Man.

”Oh!” Lu Li suddenly understood, ”No wonder I felt my energy consumption increased significantly these two days. It turns out a good portion was used by the Little Golden Man for ’upgrading’.”

This piqued his interest.

Previously, the Little Golden Man’s ”upgrading” would usually complete in a short time.

This time, after one or two days, it still wasn’t done; could it be there’s a substantial enhancement happening?

If so, after the Little Golden Man ”upgrades,” will it bring any surprises for him?

Lu Li wanted to know immediately.

But the Little Golden Man was in the midst of an ”upgrade” process.

There was no way for him to know the specifics.

Couldn’t figure it out.

Forget it.

Better get some sleep.

He hadn’t rested properly these past two days.

So Lu Li decided not to think too much and suggested himself to sleep immediately.

...

About ten hours later.

The plane landed at Paris Airport.

Upon waking up, as Lu Li disembarked and reached the designated area, he checked whether the Little Golden Man had ”upgraded.”

Unfortunately, there was no movement from the Mud Ball Palace.

Lu Li felt a bit puzzled.

It’s been another ten hours.

Why is there still no movement?

Suddenly, he thought of something.

In the past, when he needed to use energy rays, the Little Golden Man had to be positioned below the abdomen.

But in the past two days, the Little Golden Man was back in the Mud Ball Palace, and it seemed that mobilizing energy rays wasn’t impacted at all.

This simply doesn’t make any sense!

Lu Li immediately had a guess, ”Could it be that the fourth deep evolution has some great mystery? Like the Little Golden Man will fully merge with my body, so once I evolve the ability to directly absorb energy, I won’t need the Little Golden Man’s assistance to mobilize energy rays?”

If not, why can I now mobilize energy rays without the Little Golden Man’s assistance?

Lu Li thought this was very likely.

This made him even more curious.

What unexpected effects would merging the body with the Little Golden Man produce?

While pondering, he waited more than five hours, hoping for the plane to take off again.

...

As before.

Once aboard the plane, Lu Li fell asleep.

This time, however, was different from when nothing happened before.

He had a long-missed dream.

In the dream, Lu Li saw himself in a desolate void lacking concept of time and space.

He felt an overwhelming depression, urgently wanting to escape the void.

Unbidden, Lu Li began to struggle.

At first, he couldn’t break free at all.

But as time passed, rays of golden light converged onto him, greatly amplifying his ”power”.

This ”power” was not physical strength.

It felt more like some kind of ”thought” being bolstered and enlarged.

When this ”thought” swelled to a certain extent.

Suddenly!

With a loud ”boom,” it burst forth in his consciousness.

The next moment, Lu Li sensed as if he had broken through some shackle, his body enlarging.

To his surprise, as his ”body” enlarged, he seemingly saw brain tissue.

Lu Li initially thought it was an illusion.

However, as the ”body” continued to grow, he gradually realized it was no illusion at all.

His ”consciousness” absorbed the entire brain and then moved downward, merging with every part of his body.

Perhaps it took a long, long time.

Or maybe it was just an instant.

Lu Li’s ”consciousness” spread from his brain to his chest, merging with it.

Before long, the organs inside his chest and every cell and tissue were all firmly occupied by his ”consciousness”.

Then, the ”consciousness” proceeded to spread towards his limbs.

His arms were instantly occupied by ”consciousness”!

His legs were rapidly occupied by ”consciousness”!

When the ”consciousness” had entirely occupied his body.

Lu Li ”saw” his whole being shining with intense golden light.

This situation didn’t last long.

After about ten seconds.

The golden light gradually dimmed.

Immediately, a wonderful sensation was transmitted from the depths of his soul.

Lu Li felt himself ”awakened”.

This ”awakening” was not a physical awakening, more like something within him had awakened.

Of course, his body also awoke.

...

On the plane, with his eyes still closed, Lu Li was experiencing a magical sensory perception.

He clearly sensed everything occurring within a radius of about twenty kilometers centered around his body.

For example, in the first-class cabin, there was a French woman with her legs crossed, holding a red wine glass in one hand, gently swaying and then taking a sip.

Also, in the rear economy class, a child seemed to have just been woken up, crying loudly there.

If it were just seeing scenes inside the plane, it wouldn’t be surprising.

At the moment, Lu Li could see outside the plane, where a massive dark cloud seemed to have accumulated enough moisture, about to rain.

In the clouds twenty kilometers away, a black-and-white vulture was flapping its wings, soaring.

Even though he wasn’t using any superpowers, nor was his consciousness projecting or his Primordial Spirit departing from his body, it was as though his body had gained the abilities of the Primordial Spirit, able to grasp everything within the range his Spiritual Power could cover...

Wait a minute!

He seemed unable to feel the existence of Spiritual Power!

Lu Li suddenly opened his eyes, ”Is this what the ’Daoist Classics’ refer to as the marvelous unity of form and spirit?”
