Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 275: Chapter 249: Mo Fang’s Nation Stunned (2)

During the colonial period, Morelia was a famous center of culture and art, with many streets, squares, palaces, churches, aqueducts, and bridges in the city still retaining the architectural style of the colonial era to this day.

This has made Morelia a popular tourist destination for many local Mexicans, whereas there are relatively fewer foreign tourists.

In the early morning.

Morelia was as lively as usual.

People were buying groceries, having breakfast, and getting ready for work.

It seemed so peaceful.

But then suddenly, a loud bang shattered the long-standing tranquility.

Everyone turned abruptly in the direction of the sound.

A reddish-brown flash of fire, carrying a mushroom cloud, rose into the stormy skies.

The scene was almost identical to a nuclear explosion in films!

Suddenly, the city became noisy.

”What happened?”

”What’s going on over there?”

”It seems like a nuclear explosion, what’s going on? Could it be our country testing a nuclear weapon?”

All 400,000 residents were shaken, their eyes staring in amazement at the depths of the Madre Mountains.

...

Meanwhile, online.

A user with the nickname ”Ancestor of the Jalisco Group” posted in the largest forum in Mexico, exclaiming: ”You absolutely have no idea what happened in Michoacán! My God! The war between the Ancestors and the Jalisco Group has led to an explosion like a nuclear weapon! Morelia is in chaos! It’s terrifying!”

Then a few more people posted.

”God Doesn’t Like Wearing Underpants”: ”Oh my God! The Ancestors are so damn fierce!”

”Mexico Without Inks”: ”The Ancestors are unbelievably brutal. It’s said the Jalisco Group was nearly wiped out!”

”Piloting an Apache to Steal Scent”: ”Scary! The scene is incredibly frightening! I nearly fainted in Morelia! If I hadn’t witnessed an explosion comparable to a nuclear bomb with my own eyes, I wouldn’t believe the Ancestors are so scary! It’s said they wiped out four to five thousand members of the Jalisco Group!”

These messages rendered many people speechless at the time, thinking they were just rumors.

”Come on.”

”Haha, don’t make things up.”

”You should be wandering bards, your storytelling is impressive. Saying the Ancestors unleashed an explosion comparable to a nuclear bomb, why not say he came from the M78 Nebula?”

”Haha, everyone knows the Ancestors are formidable, but there’s no way they could unleash power akin to a nuclear bomb. Do you have any concept of a nuclear explosion? Let me put it this way, a nuclear bomb with a yield of 15,000 tons could instantly obliterate everything within a 2. something kilometer radius, and the shockwave spreads out at least six or seven kilometers. Do you think the Ancestors, no matter how strong, could unleash such power?”

”Impossible, unless he’s one of those superheroes from an anime.”

”Such nonsense is unbelievable to anyone; you’re not water army hired by the Jalisco Group to blacken the Ancestors, are you? It sounds so sarcastic. Earlier we heard the Jalisco Group clamored for the Ancestors to go to Michoacán for a battle, but that was before, and the location wasn’t announced afterwards. Your stories are so detailed.”

Many netizens laughed at them.

The few who posted were infuriated to the point of smoking from the ears.

”It’s true!”

”Why the hell would I lie to you?”

”The Michoacán army has already headed there, we took some photos and videos before the troops arrived, if you don’t believe us, we’ll show you!”

”Don’t run, I’ll post the photos and videos now!”

Suddenly, photos and videos were uploaded online.

For example, in one photo, there’s a white light with a long tail of light flying towards the Madre Mountains near Morelia, with the time annotated on it.

For instance, a part of the Madre Mountains was already devastated into ruins, countless trees snapped and toppled, with the shooting time similarly annotated.

Lastly, there were numerous photos of troops rushing over, and footage of the white light leaving the Madre Mountains, each photo or video clearly stating the shooting time.

Many people compared the timing with the horrifying scene at one point in the Madre Mountains and instantly showed shocked expressions.

After a brief silence, the matter that nobody believed soared to new heights!

”What?”

”Ah!”

”Is it true?”

”Oh my God! I haven’t had much schooling; you must not lie to me!”

More and more people started paying attention, yet many maintained a heavy dose of skepticism.

After all, there was still no direct evidence proving that the devastation at Madre Mountains was personally caused by the Ancestors.

People remained incredulous.

Until Morelia’s official released a wanted notice.

At that moment, everyone finally realized...

The explosion unleashed by the Ancestors was as powerful as a nuclear bomb!

Truly unleashed power akin to a nuclear bomb!!

Because the content of the wanted notice released by Morelia’s officials clearly stated that the Ancestors had created a terrifying scene in the Madre Mountains, posing a huge threat to the area.

Moreover, shortly after, Morelia’s official also released a shocking number of casualties, stating that just the Jalisco Group alone suffered over five thousand deaths, and a few Ugly Country people who went to tour the Madre Mountains fainted on the spot due to the terrifying power impact.

People on the internet certainly understood why Morelia released these.

It wasn’t truly to wanted the Ancestors.

To put it bluntly, if the Ancestors could unleash power akin to a nuclear bomb, then it would be beyond what Morelia or even the Mexican officials could pursue.

This was why Morelia acted in this manner.

It was entirely to disassociate from the massive explosion.

Otherwise, being considered as testing a nuclear weapon by the Five Permanent Members would have very dire consequences.

This is no joke. For example, some countries in the Middle East accused of hiding nuclear weapons were directly annihilated by the Ugly Country.

So, whether it’s Morelia or all of Mexico, none want to be seen as testing nuclear weapons by the Five Permanent Members. Naturally, they issued wanted notices and announcements to distance themselves from the event.

It was also because Morelia issued the wanted notice and announcement that it instantly confirmed the actions of the Ancestor, immediately letting the outside world know that the Ancestor indeed unleashed power comparable to a nuclear bomb in the Madre Mountains!

...

In contrast to the external shock.

Lu Li continued to fly through the air with Cervantes using his Biological Force Field.

He cast a cold glance at his opponent, ”Call Oseguera.”

”What?”

Cervantes was still immersed in the fear of the terrifying explosion and upon hearing Lu Li’s words, he quivered and said, ”I... I really don’t know where the boss is hiding... Calling him is of no use.”

If it had been a normal person seeing the blinding light of the explosion, their eyes would definitely have been blinded.

Cervantes was not, because he was sheltered within Lu Li’s Biological Force Field, effectively shielding him from the blinding light.

A Divine Being capable of unleashing power comparable to a nuclear bomb!

And it protected Cervantes from the terrible impact of the light!

At this moment, even though Cervantes was an enemy of the Ancestor, he was utterly in awe.

Lu Li’s tone was void of any emotion, ”You merely need to call him, and I can track his hiding place. Do it, and I’ll spare your life. Refuse, and you’ll die instantly!”

Indeed, he captured Cervantes because earlier, he learned from the heads of various bases in Southern Kyushu that Oseguera only kept in touch with Cervantes.

Though Cervantes really didn’t know where Oseguera was hiding, as long as he could contact him, Lu Li had ways to find Oseguera’s hideout.

For example, using Spiritual Power to track electromagnetic signals.

Now Cervantes only wanted to survive; he dared not dispute Lu Li at all.

He quickly pulled out a phone from his pocket and dialed Oseguera’s number.

Shortly after, the call connected.

Cervantes cautiously said, ”Boss, I have something to report to you...”

While flying, Lu Li suddenly turned his head, his gaze firmly locked towards the Sonora state in the north!

...

It was precisely because Morelia issued the wanted notice and announcement.

Instantly, the entire internet was in an uproar, with exclamations flowing continuously!

”Oh my God!”

”Is it true? It’s actually true!”

”My heavens, the Ancestor is so terrifying. Did he really unleash power comparable to a nuclear bomb?”

”This is utterly horrifying, I can’t believe my eyes. Does such a frightening creature as the Ancestor truly exist in the world?”

”Can someone tell me, what kind of world am I living in?”

”Can anyone answer me a question? Are you sure that Ancestor is human? Could he be an alien?”

”Aliens! Definitely aliens, I once saw an alien destroy three planets with a flick of the wrist!”

”Oh? Where did you see that? Are aliens that powerful?”

”Oh, I saw it in the ’Dragon Ball’ specials. Didn’t King Vegeta destroy three planets with just a wave?”

...

There were discussions of all sorts online.

But without exception, everyone was deeply shocked by the terrifying eruption of the Ancestor.

People couldn’t help but be shocked.

After all, this was a creature seemingly indistinguishable from humans, yet it acted like a nuclear weapon!

Not just online, but almost every place in Mexico where there were people, the event was a hot topic.

One could say that the massive uproar caused by the Ancestor this time was shaking all of Mexico as if a magnitude-nine earthquake had occurred!

Despite the shock.

Now everyone had one more question.

Since Morelia confirmed that the Ancestor unleashed power comparable to a nuclear bomb, massacring over five thousand members of the Jalisco Group.

Then, what about the big boss Oseguera of the Jalisco Group, and the rest of the key points in the twenty-one states in the north?

Initially, no one really knew the situation, merely discussing it over there.

Some people thought the Ancestor should stop.

Because the entire nation of Mexico had issued a wanted notice.

Others believed the Ancestor would definitely keep his word and would uproot the Jalisco Group.

Anyway, there were all kinds of opinions.

But no one knew how things would turn out.

Countless people were eagerly waiting to see what the Ancestor would do next.

Many thought getting an answer might take a long time.

However, less than a day passed before over a billion people in Mexico learned shocking and immensely satisfying news!
