Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 257: Chapter 235: How the Hell Can a Human Do This!?

The shocking scene was deeply imprinted in the eyes of Mike and the four crew members.

No one expected that the human-like unidentified flying object was actually a living human!

What was even more unbelievable to them was that this living human first resisted the power of a cluster bomb with his flesh and blood, then destroyed another B-2 stealth bomber with his body.

Now, not only did he successfully escape the explosion of a thermonuclear warhead with a power of five thousand tons of TNT, but he’s also rushing towards their bomber at a terrifying speed of nearly a thousand kilometers per hour!

Such a heart-stopping scene left Mike and the other four crew members so horrified that their minds went blank, and they even briefly forgot to escape.

It was precisely because of Mike’s momentary distraction

that they missed the best chance to escape.

That oriental young man, glowing with a white light like Captain Marvel, had in an instant arrived outside the cockpit.

Mike could even see, through the cockpit glass, the terrifying and gruesome expression full of blood on this horrifying oriental young man’s face!

The other four also saw that this monster was not truly unscathed by the explosion of the thermonuclear warhead.

At the very least, his left arm had disappeared.

Conversely, the ridiculous skull t-shirt and the tattered jeans he wore seemed unaffected.

Yet, even so, this monster had not lost its combat capability.

On the contrary, he charged aggressively to the front of the cockpit.

More terrifyingly, as soon as the entire monster appeared, his empty left arm regrew at a speed visible to the naked eye!

Ignoring the blast of the thermonuclear warhead!

Could he regenerate a limb in an instant?

Mike and the four crew members were so shocked they almost fainted.

But they knew they couldn’t faint now because if they didn’t figure out how to escape, their bomber would face the same fate of destruction as Jack’s.

Mike quickly snapped back to his senses, ready to operate the bomber to escape at maximum speed.

However, before he could make a move, that strange oriental young man who was closely stuck outside the cockpit vanished without a trace.

Mike was stunned.

The other four crew members were also dumbfounded.

They genuinely didn’t know what had happened.

How had the oriental young man just disappeared?

This question did not linger in their minds for long before it was answered.

The next moment, something happened that made Mike and the four crew members’ hearts pound violently.

”You guys really beat me up!”

An icy, unfamiliar male voice speaking English echoed inside the cockpit.

Mike shuddered.

The other four crew members turned pale with fright and hurriedly turned their heads to look.

They shouldn’t have looked.

Once they saw, they were so terrified it seemed like their hearts stopped beating!

Because at that moment, both Mike and the four crew members saw that the ”monster” had somehow already appeared inside the cabin!

How did he get in?

Mike and the four crew members couldn’t help but have this thought.

Regrettably, they were destined never to find the answer to this question.

The four crew members felt an inexplicable and irresistible force ripple through their bodies, and then their vision went black, losing consciousness.

Although Mike didn’t close his eyes like the others, he also became dazed as if under some kind of psychic control.

—

Inside the cockpit.

Lu Li casually tossed the co-pilot to the back, then sat down himself.

He gave an order to the mind-controlled Mike, ”Pilot the bomber towards the island ahead.”

Mike, with an extremely vacant gaze, responded, ”Okay.”

Immediately, the bomber flew in the direction Lu Li indicated.

Taking advantage of the free time, Lu Li took out his phone to call Gu Wei.

Beep, beep, beep.

The call was not yet connected.

At this moment, Lu Li took a deep breath, his brain involuntarily recalling the scene of the battle just now.

To be honest, the first wave of cluster bomb bombing didn’t really cause me much pressure.

The powerful white light shield of the Biological Force Field easily blocked the power of the multiple warheads.

After all, the cluster bomb fractured into over two hundred submunitions, it was impossible for all of them to hit.

Lu Li was only hit by about sixty submunitions.

Nevertheless, the intense explosions and the ferocity of the metal fragments’ impact drained a significant amount of his energy.

Fortunately, the defense power of the white light shield was particularly impressive, keeping all the explosive power of these submunitions at bay.

Taking advantage of the blinding light and smoke from the explosion as cover, and with Jack’s assisting fighter having relatively slower speed, Lu Li leveraged the extraordinary defense of the white light shield to crash into the B-2 stealth bomber, creating a large hole in it and causing it to plummet into the sea.

Things weren’t too bad up to this point.

The real terror came with the thermonuclear warhead fired by Mike.

Immediately recognizing the unusual nature of the cruise missile, Lu Li rushed towards the sea, using the water to absorb energy, just barely managing to withstand the nuclear explosion.

During the atomic bomb explosion in Japan, a young girl survived by jumping into the water.

It was remembering this that led Lu Li to dart into the sea, trying to avoid the power of the thermonuclear warhead’s explosion.

In fact, as he submerged into the depths of the ocean, while the white light shield kept him from being inundated by seawater and did absorb much of the thermonuclear explosion’s force, the sea’s surface was vaporized by the high temperatures, and the remaining explosive force hit him, shattering one of his arms in the process.

Fortunately, in that brief moment, Lu Li dove deeper into the water, escaping repeated waves of explosive power, thus saving his life.

For an ordinary person, having an arm blown off might be an irreversible injury, but for Lu Li, the ability for limb regeneration was unintentionally developed when trying to master the power of transformation before his third deep evolution.

Thus, after escaping the boiling sea and approaching the bomber’s cockpit, he used a large amount of energy to regrow his arm.

Lu Li then used the Biological Force Field’s instant teleportation to enter the cockpit, rendering the crew unconscious, and using his mind control ability, he had the pilot Mike fly the intact B-2 stealth bomber towards the nearby island.

Lu Li did not destroy the stealth bomber.

Partly to save energy and also to take the opportunity to recover.

Moreover, he had earlier mentioned giving Gu Wei a ”grand gift.”

And that ”grand gift” was the world’s most impressive stealth bomber—the B-2 stealth bomber!

Lu Li believed that with a little time, they could study and replicate this B-2 stealth bomber domestically.

These thoughts flashed through his mind.

The next moment, the phone was connected.

On the other end, Gu Wei’s voice came through, a bit tense, ”Mr. Lu, have you dealt with those two foreign stealth bombers?”

Lu Li casually replied, ”One stealth bomber has already crashed, and the other is temporarily intact. However, the crew are all unconscious for now. Soon, this B-2 stealth bomber will land on an island near me. I will send you the coordinates, and you can handle it from there.”

Some things need not be said too plainly; he believed Gu Wei was wise enough to understand the implications of his words.

”What?” Gu Wei was taken aback.

His focus was nowhere near the key point Lu Li mentioned later in the conversation.

Gu Wei, eyes almost blackened, sucked in a cold breath and said, ”What did you say? You defeated two stealth bombers in less than two minutes? What kind of astonishing combat power is that!?”

Lu Li had no time to explain, ”In less than ten minutes, this B-2 stealth bomber will land on the island ahead, send someone immediately, understood?”

”Understood!” Gu Wei quickly responded, then smiled wryly and said, ”How am I going to explain this to the outside world later?”

Lu Li understood the meaning behind Gu Wei’s words.

He casually said, ”What do you need to explain? You can just announce publicly that the Americans had two B-2 stealth bombers accidentally collide, one severely damaged and crashed into the sea, while the other, not so critically damaged, was force-landed on the East Sea Islands by the pilot before dying to prevent the bomber’s destruction. You got the news and decided to kindly repair it before sending it back in the interest of international relations; wouldn’t that cover everything?”

Gu Wei hesitated, weakly saying, ”Uh, is it really okay to do that? Let me think it over.”

Lu Li didn’t want to waste words with him, ”Do as you see fit; I have matters to attend to, so I won’t say more, bye.”

With that, he hung up the phone directly.

...

Meanwhile, at the East China Air Defense Center.

A large group of upper management and air defense personnel were waiting for a response from above, wondering how to address the issue of the two B-2 stealth bombers.

Before any reply came, Gu Wei’s call arrived first.

The elderly man answered the phone with a puzzled look, ”Old Gu, I really didn’t send out any bombers, why are you calling?”

Gu Wei replied with a quirky tone, ”I know you didn’t dispatch any bombers. I called to tell you that one B-2 stealth bomber has already been destroyed by Mr. Lu, and the other has landed on an island in the East Sea, with rumors that the crew lost consciousness. I don’t need to tell you what to do next, do I?”

Upon hearing this, the elderly man was dumbfounded.

He stood there stunned for a moment, then his eyes widened in disbelief, exclaiming, ”Old Gu, you must be joking, right? A single human, Mr. Lu, defeated two stealth bombers? Destroyed one? Force-landed the other on some island in the East Sea? My God, is this for real!?”

Perhaps the elder was too shocked.

His exclamation echoed throughout the entire control room.

Xiaoli, Xiaozhou, and everyone else heard this earth-shattering news.

Upon hearing it, dozens of people present exchanged looks of utter astonishment, overwhelmed by an unfathomable thought.

Mr. Lu took on two B-2 stealth bombers single-handedly?

Destroyed one in less than five minutes?

And ”force-landed” the other?

Could any human achieve such feats??

Is this Mr. Lu some kind of deity come to earth!?
