Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 260: Chapter 238: The Bloody and Terrifying Forefather

Mexico City, as the capital of Mexico, is located in a valley of the southern plateau, at an altitude of over two thousand meters; it’s a city where the days are long and the nights are short.

For this reason, Lu Li waited until around eight o’clock in the evening, when it was getting dark, before leaving the hotel to rescue the hostages.

Whether or not to rescue the hostages actually didn’t matter at all to him.

After all, countless people die every day on Earth.

He couldn’t possibly save every single person, could he?

The reason Lu Li chose to rescue the hostages was entirely because these hostages represented his own dignity.

The people I’ve saved, and you dare to kill them?

Isn’t that a slap in my face?

It was for this reason that Lu Li felt provoked and became furious.

Today, he had only one goal.

To rescue his ”dignity”.

And to intimidate the Jalisco Group.

To make them bow under his divine might.

Lu Li is not a person who kills easily.

He thought, if after his action tonight, the Jalisco Group is willing to surrender and hand over their leader Oseguera, allowing him to hang him on the cypress tree outside the Tijuana Branch, he might not spend a large amount of time and effort to uproot the entire Jalisco Group.

But if the Jalisco Group is unwilling to hand over Oseguera, then sorry, even if a king from heaven came, he would annihilate the group, exterminating every member of the organization!

The destination is far, about a hundred kilometers from Mexico City.

After a few minutes of high-speed flight.

Lu Li had arrived at the valley where Zhou Jinming had gathered information for him.

Below was an underground base, with roughly over a hundred members.

Lu Li didn’t act rashly but hovered seventy to eighty meters high, using his superhuman abilities to scout the underground base’s environment.

The purpose of his visit today was to rescue his ”dignity”, so he definitely couldn’t startle the snake, ensuring the safety of the hostages.

Of course, the purpose of the reconnaissance was not just that.

He also wanted to see if this place, like the Tijuana Branch, hid wealth.

With his x-ray vision piercing through the soil, he suddenly clearly saw the environment of the Jalisco Group’s underground base.

This seemed to be an armory, occupying a fairly large area, about a hundred thousand square meters.

In the center, there was an assembly line, with over a hundred shackled men, producing ammunition with blank faces.

Surrounding them were about a dozen ”supervisors” armed with rifles.

It goes without saying that these over a hundred shackled men must have been captured by the Jalisco Group.

As for those holding rifles, they were members of the Jalisco Group.

Lu Li silently noted the situation and continued to carefully look to the left and right.

On the left was a separate living area, divided into many small rooms.

Each room had three to four armed men.

Most people were washing up.

Apparently getting ready to sleep.

The right side was quite different from the left side.

This place was a series of narrow cages.

Inside were detained a dozen or so men and women of different ages.

In the far back, there was an execution room, filled with solidified blood and countless severed fingers.

Lu Li even saw two skull specimens possibly made from children’s heads.

”Beasts! What beasts!”

Upon seeing this, Lu Li’s anger, which had subsided slightly over time, suddenly flared up again.

His gaze cold, without hesitation, he slowly descended.

...

Meanwhile, in the hotel.

Zhou Jinming and a group of people gathered around a computer.

Displayed on it was a real-time aerial video captured by a drone.

Earlier when Gu Wei called, he insisted on ensuring Lu Li’s safety.

Therefore, Zhou Jinming and the others discussed with Lu Li, and after obtaining his permission, dispatched the drone to follow and film.

The purpose was to protect Lu Li.

If anything happened, they could rescue him immediately.

Honestly speaking, Zhou Jinming and several others all felt it was unnecessary.

With Mr. Lu’s combat capabilities, did he need them to protect him?

But this was an order from above, so they had no choice but to comply.

For the time being, nothing had been transmitted on the video.

Zhou Jinming curiously said, ”What kind of shocking action do you think Mr. Lu will do tonight?”

A middle-aged man in his forties named Zhu Fangming laughed, ”Last time he tore apart an armed helicopter, I guess it will be something similar this time.”

A woman in her late thirties named Fu Min added, ”Yes, with Mr. Lu’s combat prowess, nothing he does is surprising. Even if he blew up a city one day, I would find it completely reasonable. It’s just a pity that this time the Jalisco Group’s base is underground, the drone might not be able to capture it.”

The group felt immensely regretful.

At this moment, a young man, about twenty-four or twenty-five, suddenly exclaimed, ”Damn, the Jalisco Group is really fearless, daring to publicly release a bloody video of them brutally murdering hostages at this time.”

”What’s going on?”

”Let me see.”

Zhou Jinming, Zhu Fangming, and Fu Min leaned in closer.

The young man handed his phone over for everyone to see; it was a video on YouTube.

The content of this video is extremely bloody and brutal.

Two members of the Jalisco Group, skinned a person alive and tortured them to death.

Most critically, one of the Jalisco Group members faced the camera and shouted, threatening the destruction of their Tijuana Branch unless the perpetrators came out, or they would kill more people, each time more brutally.

Such a bloody and cruel scene immediately elicited profanities from Zhou Jinming, Zhu Fangming, Fu Min, and others.

Zhou Jinming, already quick-tempered, directly cursed: ”The Jalisco Group is truly devoid of any humanity. Execution by hanging has been abolished worldwide for thirty or forty years, yet they still perform the extremely cruel punishment of skinning? Damn, such beasts!”

Fu Min was equally furious: ”I’ve seen inhumane ones, but never such inhuman beasts!”

Zhu Fangming also looked furious, ”Arrogant, incredibly arrogant. No wonder Mr. Lu heard about this and flew for over ten hours to exterminate these beasts!”

The rest of the group was also cursing.

In fact, they all understood that this video should have been filmed yesterday by the Jalisco Group during Mr. Lu’s journey. It wasn’t filmed today in real-time.

But precisely because of this, Zhou Jinming, Zhu Fangming, Fu Min, and others all knew one thing: the Jalisco Group would certainly keep their public threat to brutally kill one person every day until forcing Lu Li to appear.

Perhaps seeing this video was exactly what sparked the anger of Zhou Jinming, Zhu Fangming, Fu Min, and others.

Immediately, they all focused intently on the computer, wanting to know how Mr. Lu would deal with those scumbags of the Jalisco Group.

Not long after, Zhou Jinming and others watched through drone footage and saw over a hundred people rushing out from underground.

Then, Lu Li also came out.

Up to this point, no one could see clearly what had happened.

Until the next moment, a horrific flash of light suddenly appeared on the screen.

Then, everyone was stunned to discover that the rock and soil barrier covering the underground base of the Jalisco Group was blasted away.

The area covered by this flash was estimated to be tens of thousands of square meters!

Zhou Jinming’s pupils contracted, ”What’s happening over there?”

Zhu Fangming, perplexed, said: ”I don’t know, it suddenly exploded with a flash of light. We’ll control the drone to check what’s happening inside in a moment.”

”This explosion must have been caused by Mr. Lu!”

”Hiss, to blast an area of tens of thousands of square meters invisibly?”

”That’s equivalent to ten standard football fields’ size, terrifying! Mr. Lu is truly terrifying!”

The rest of the group was all frightened.

They realized for the first time that Mr. Lu’s actual power was even scarier than what they had seen before!

What puzzled Zhou Jinming, Zhu Fangming, Fu Min, and others was, Lu Li had already rescued the hostages, indicating that the Jalisco Group’s members in the underground base were completely slaughtered.

Since that was the case, why waste energy blasting away the surface covering the base?

Driven by extreme curiosity.

After the explosion’s brilliance faded.

Zhou Jinming immediately had someone control the drone to capture footage.

Then...

Zhou Jinming was stupefied!

Zhu Fangming was full of horror!

Fu Min and the remaining few people all couldn’t help but widen their eyes!

They never expected that Lu Li was arrogant to such an extent, deeply imprinting a war declaration into the steel ground of the underground base!

...

The explosion of tens of thousands of square meters was very loud.

Soon, someone noticed the huge commotion caused by the explosion in the valley.

The nearby town residents were the first to arrive.

Seeing such a horrific scene, they immediately called the police.

Immediately, police cars rushed over, along with many reporters.

When the police and reporters arrived on the scene, they were all shocked pale by the situation below them.

One female reporter even fainted from fright after seeing the situation inside.

Precisely because the situation was so terrifying, the midnight news at around twelve reported the incident immediately.

As a result, the citizens across all thirty-two states in Mexico who were still awake saw this shocking news.

The heads of various states in Jalisco also saw this shocking news on TV, quickly launching a conference call.

Second-in-command, Cervantes: ”Our secret base near Mexico City has been blown up!”

Head of Querétaro State, Rio: ”I just saw on the news that there seems to be a line of text engraved on the ground over there.”

Head of Nayarit State, Moana: ”That engraving resembles the method used earlier at the Tijuana Branch to cut the Ajax armored vehicle!”

Head of Durango State, Guzman: ”Could it be... that the god of slaughter who destroyed our Tijuana Branch has appeared?”

All the heads of the Jalisco Group in the ongoing conference call were taken aback.

Cervantes, somewhat unsettled, immediately ordered people to spend a fortune investigating what exactly was engraved on that underground base’s steel floor.

By approximately the next morning, Cervantes and the heads of the Jalisco Group, or you could say the vast majority of people in Mexico, finally knew the content of the engraving on that underground base’s steel floor!

Because the morning news reported it.

All one hundred members of the Jalisco Group in that underground base were all sliced in half.

The method was exactly the same as what was used previously at the Tijuana Branch.

The extremely bloody and brutal scene made countless people turn pale.

However, this wasn’t the most shocking part.

The most shocking part was that the news gave a close-up.

Precisely those words etched several inches deep into the steel floor, irrigated with bright red blood, appearing extremely terrifying.

The message used English and had only three short lines.

Ultimatum:

Hand over Oseguera, or the Jalisco Group members will all die!

——Ancestor of Man!
