Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 1291: Chapter 47: Royal First Guard 3

Fatty at this moment stands at the forefront of the electronic map, staring at it. Pei Litong stands slightly behind him, Balmer also stands slightly behind him, and even Old Marshal Li Cunxin doesn’t stand in front of him.

In the unconscious crowd of officers gathered behind him, with his brows furrowed and muttering under his breath, looking somewhat silly, he seems to be the core of this army!

This isn’t deliberately formed, but in an army with extremely strict ranks and systems, such an inadvertent scene speaks volumes.

Su Fei is somewhat puzzled.

Could it be that, at such a critical moment, Chuckna’s future depends on such a person?!

”The plan cannot change!” Fatty wipes the sweat from his forehead and resolutely says, ”We must seize Shuangxi Bridge Town beforehand. In a few hours, the Jiepeng 59th Armored Division and the 194th Armored Division will arrive at Shuangxi Bridge Town, intersecting with our second echelon. We must set up the defensive line before they arrive. The engineering corps must rush over immediately!”

”But,” Balmer says worriedly, ”the enemy’s Royal First Guard Second Armored Division is clearly coming at us. At this moment, moving towards Shuangxi Bridge Town, it’s hard to ensure the safety of the troops.”

Pei Litong also nods simultaneously. Balmer’s concern is a major taboo in modern military operations. Moving the infantry horizontally under the watchful eyes of enemy armored divisions makes it easy for the elongated formation to be attacked. Moreover, there’s only one road from here to Shuangxi Bridge Town, making the objective too obvious. Once the enemy deduces the intention, they will stop the movement at all costs.

And once caught in a slaughter, time will mercilessly pass.

If it were an ordinary Jiepeng Armored Division, we might still establish a series of resistance points to delay the enemy’s pursuit. But what we’re facing now is the Jiepeng Army, hailed as the world’s strongest army, and among them, the invincible reputation of the Royal First Guard! Back then, even when Old Marshal Li Cunxin led a mechanized brigade and an armored group, he was defeated during an attack by just one battalion of this unit, and now it’s an entire armored division!

Never mind how long a battalion or group can hold out; even if this entire army is pushed forward, it might not defeat the opponent. Furthermore, even if we delay a bit and reach Shuangxi Bridge Town, facing the relentless following attack of this hungry tiger, it’s all in vain if we can’t establish a defensive position!

How did this armored division of the Royal First Guard appear at this time!

In silence, Fatty turns to Li Cunxin and says, ”Old man, leave Shuangxi Bridge Town to you. I’ll handle the rear guard!”

The officers look at Fatty, without objection.

Even Pei Litong and Balmer show no hesitation. For everyone, it seems justified. Some gratitude cannot be expressed verbally.

Li Cunxin fixes his gaze on Fatty’s eyes: ”How many people do you need, and what’s your plan?!”

”An armored camp, I want all my warriors with me.” Fatty is resolved. He points at the electronic sand table, his face slightly shaking: ”When we move our main force northeast, we will inevitably be exposed under their eyes. We have no paths in other directions. But we still have time; I’ll lead the troops here and attract them!”

Everyone follows Fatty’s finger, gasping.

Fatty’s finger follows the route beside the incoming Jiepeng 2nd Armored Division, pointing in the opposite direction towards Beiguan City!

. Originally, I intended to write more, expand the plot, and end this Chapter, but was delayed by matters, scraping together 4,000 words. Rushed to publish before midnight. There’s indeed a gap compared to others.

I’m learning from the master... More intense clashes, bigger climaxes, and larger war scenes are about to unfold, bring the monthly tickets, bring them all fiercely.

Of course, I surpass even the master, bring recommendation tickets as well!
