Chapter 1290: Chapter 47: Royal First Guard_2

In that battle, as the Fei Alliance Joint Commander, he led an infantry brigade and an armored group to the core area of the conflict, but unexpectedly was ambushed by an armored camp from the Jiepeng Royal First Guard, nearly resulting in total annihilation. Consequently, due to the Western Alliance Army’s rapid appearance and support, the third-party neutral small country suppressed the coup and became a member of the Western Alliance.

This incident was a long-standing pain in Li Cunxin’s heart. A single oversight led to the loss of a country that the Fei Alliance had been striving for a long time to secure. Although this country was as small as a minor Immigrant Planet, its geographic location, resources, and political significance were extremely important.

That defeat also gave Li Cunxin the most direct understanding of the combat power of the Jiepeng Royal First Guard—it was absolutely the most cunning, ferocious hungry tiger!

Now, this hungry tiger is approaching this unit. A distance of forty kilometers means that, no matter how slow and cautious the enemy’s movements, contact will occur within an hour!

The atmosphere was as heavy as lead and iron.

Although the 221st Division was completely wiped out, and the 231st Division has already been destroyed, the current force has become stronger due to the captured mecha supplies. Although Chuckna’s reinforcements arrived as scheduled, within the next few hours, four giant transport ships carrying sixteen armored divisions will land at three points on the periphery of the Northern Mountain Region!

However, this does not mean the Allies can win this battle. The entire operational plan is far from over yet!

Su Fei tightly hugged the small boy she held, watching the silent and serious officers. Even she knew how tense the situation was now.

Earlier, after a short military meeting with Li Hongwu, a joint combat plan had been devised on both ground and air. According to the positions of over twenty Jiepeng divisions spread across the Northern Mountain Region shown on the sand table, the Allies selected four landing points around the Northern Mountain Region.

These four landing points were not the final forward bases for welcoming subsequent landing troops. In the plan said to be formulated by that Leray fatty, the forward base had long been determined, which was the largest city in the Northern Mountain Region, Beiguan City!

After a successful landing, the sixteen armored divisions would completely abandon the usual post-landing base expansion, line construction, and air corridor development tasks, focusing on penetrating toward Beiguan City, implementing annihilation on the Jiepeng Army in the mountains along the way.

According to the plan, the entire action requires less than three days, and out of the more than twenty dispersed Jiepeng divisions, eleven will be annihilated. Once the four attack arrows converge, the entire mountainous area surrounding Beiguan City and Tangtai City will be controlled immediately.

When the second batch of landing troops lands, those Jiepeng Army trapped in the mountains will be like fish in a barrel. Meanwhile, the Allies will gain an extremely solid forward base!

The obliteration of thirty divisions will directly declare the entire Eastern Hemisphere of Canglang Star falls into the Allies’ hands. Such a victory, Su Fei believed, appeared as a godsend to all the landing troops ready to fight an extraordinarily arduous war!

The plan is beautiful, but reality is cruel.

It must be known that Chuckna’s strength is actually not advantageous. The reason there is such a strategic conception now is because the situation is favorable, and it’s because the Jiepeng Forces scattered in the Northern Mountain Region, lacking SkyNet, provide a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for piecemeal destruction!

But in fact, the Jiepeng people evidently realized the severity of the problem. According to intelligence, when the Chuckna Fleet appeared, the more than twenty divisions in the mountains had already started moving toward Beiguan City. If these units manage to enter Beiguan City first, not only will this force face a desperate situation, but even the landing troops will face the danger of scattered forces.

To stall the Jiepeng Forces, it’s necessary to hold a small town named Shuangxi Bridge northeast of the Flyns Agricultural District. Though not an elevated or precarious place, this is indeed the inevitable path for the Jiepeng Army retreating to Beiguan City, the pivotal point of the Sixth Resource Highway.

Both sides are racing against time. The Jiepeng people hold the advantage of having started moving, while the Allies have the edge in that one of the four landing sites is closer to Beiguan City than the Jiepeng people. As long as the two armored divisions landing at this point reach Shuangxi Bridge Town, the Jiepeng people will have no chance of breaking through this line quickly.

When the Jiepeng forces collide and bleed at Shuangxi Bridge Town, the other three Allied armored divisions will be engaged fiercely in the Northern Mountain Region.

Time, time!

Landing requires time, assembly requires time, pre-battle preparation requires time, army maneuvers to eliminate these dispersed Jiepeng troops in the Northern Mountain Region also requires time!

Therefore, the key to the battle still lies with this unit! This unit encircling the center must secure this most crucial point of time for the entire plan’s implementation!

It’s imaginable, when Jiepeng’s most elite armored division appears forty kilometers away just as the force is about to move toward Shuangxi Bridge Town, what kind of feeling would it bring to all the officers.

In the silence, Su Fei and Felix exchanged a look of astonishment. Then they fixated their gaze on that fatty. As battlefield journalists, she and Felix discovered an astonishing fact.
