Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 1252: Chapter 35: The Ruthless Trap

Once the exit was opened, it could no longer be sealed.

The surging crowd poured out from the gap. Tens of thousands of Chuckna Soldiers, shouting long live Chuckna, surged through the shattered Jiepeng Defense Line. Hundreds of Mecha, led by the White Mecha, moved forward, to the left, to the right...

The entire defense line at Hot Spring Town was torn to shreds. Facing the flood-like Chuckna Soldiers, the Chuckna Mecha, like gods of war, charged left and right, constantly maneuvering and partitioning, continually penetrating with large scale attacks, the Jiepeng Army swiftly fell into chaos.

The command coordination system was already completely ineffective in such chaotic combat. The Chuckna Armored Forces, led by those ten White Mecha, split into five or six major battalions, attacking every Jiepeng Forces unit that appeared in their sights. They allowed no Jiepeng Mecha any opportunity to assemble, wherever they gathered, they charged there, until they dispersed the gathered Jiepeng Mechanic once again.

The gap kept expanding, and after several attempts to counter and block that met with devastating blows, the Jiepeng people’s chaos swiftly spread to the wings of the position. When more Chuckna Soldiers flooded into the position and began launching fierce fire strikes using the trenches, the Jiepeng Armored Group, beaten into disarray by the White Mecha, began to collapse.

From the sky looking down, from the entrance fortifications to the urban area of Hot Spring Town, it was a scene of fleeing chaos.

Emerald green Chuckna Soldiers flooded into Hot Spring Town like a deluge, divided into three arrows pushing forward. In front of them were the ten White Thunderbolt vehicles leading the Chuckna Armored Group, and ahead of the Armored Group were the desperately retreating Jiepeng Mecha and soldiers.

Once the situation turned into a rout, the Jiepeng people were unable to stand their ground. All Jiepeng Soldiers who tried to coalesce and resist faced the inevitable fate of having their freshly formed formations ripped apart by the ten White Mecha behind them, scattered violently, and then drowned in the surging tide.

When Pei Litong and others’ Command Mecha entered Hot Spring Town, the entire town had already fallen into the hands of the Chuckna Army.

From the breakthrough to occupying the whole Hot Spring Town, it took less than twenty minutes, the demoralized Jiepeng people fled in all directions after losing unified coordination. The whole town was like being washed by floodwaters, with the chasing and fleeing parties leaving scenes akin to hell. Dense wreckage of Jiepeng Mecha, countless corpses...

The left-wing position was taken down... annihilated two Mecha platoons of enemy at Balang Street... Captured a Mecha company and one Jiepeng major from the right-wing D area... Conquered Horizon Hot Spring Hotel, captured one colonel, two armored platoons surrendered... Occupied the forward base, seized large amounts of Mecha and weaponry...

One exciting report after another kept flooding into the Command Center. Everyone was so thrilled they could hardly contain themselves.

Pei Litong and Balmer didn’t know how many times they clapped hands in celebration, Old Marshal Li Cunxin appeared twenty years younger, his big round face glowing with delight, his eyes shining brightly.

With the battle reaching this stage, the Jiepeng people had no way to recuperate. Although only half of the two Jiepeng Armored Groups were annihilated, ultimately, defeat comes crashing down a slope; once a rout forms, even if their Commander were a celestial being, they could no longer regroup those frightened, scattered soldiers from all directions to re-engage in combat.

The passage had already been opened, from this moment on, this once cornered force would escape to safety. The massive strategic maneuver space in the Northern Mountain Region would sustain them until the Fei Alliance counterattack arrives!

And the massive urgently needed weaponry, equipment, medical supplies, and food captured in this battle, were like charcoal in the snow! In the enemy’s forward base, just the combat Mecha alone filled one whole regiment. The quantities of other electronic Mecha and Transport Mecha were too numerous to count. With these, the force’s survivability would be exponentially raised.

Under the orders of the Command Center, the troops made no pause.

Rolling westward like a dragon, every step from each Chuckna Warrior was so nimble and brisk.

They strode forward with each step, joyfully watching squads of newly captured Mecha zip past, stirring up dust storms. Watching those Transport Mecha, Repair Mecha, Engineering Mecha, and heavy trucks loaded with supplies, all merge into the convoy from various parts of Hot Spring Town. The nearly six-kilometer long convoy grew increasingly massive.

And when every eye fell upon those ten White Mecha, each eye was filled with admiration, respect, and indescribable excitement and pride.

This was the Fei Alliance’s Mecha; these were our warriors. With these ten White Mecha, the Jiepeng Forces fell into disarray. With companions like these, with the vast space of the Northern Mountain Region, what is there to fear in the future!

Westward, northward!

Advance!

Canglang Star’s Beiguan City had become a massive military encampment.

The city’s population of nearly two million had now been sharply reduced to under five hundred thousand. As a military key point, Beiguan City’s citizens were already aware of their plight when the war began. Those with some capability had left with their assets and families, boarding spaceships to depart. The less fortunate went to cities not in such critical geographic locations. The remaining were those civilians unable to leave the city.
