Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 1246: Chapter 33: Wait for It!

Trying to pull a decapitation strike?!

Oono Hayato calmly watched that arc on the screen stretching forward; just as the Major had said, after carving a huge curve through the encirclement, the White Mecha was now swinging this way. The direction pointed to by the tip of that arc was exactly where he was.

The whole Armored Division kept surging upward, squeezing inward, then looping back. Trying to cut them off. But that arc didn’t pause for even a second, like a shark’s fin slicing through the surface of the water.

”Second Regiment, First Battalion, pull back and block them.”

”Second Regiment, Second Battalion, push up, pin them down, open fire without restriction.”

Seeing that Oono Hayato had no intention of dodging at all, the chief of staff standing beside him swiftly made a decisive call.

The troops began to move under the chief of staff’s direction.

Oono Hayato felt the chief of staff was overthinking it a bit. No one could pull off a decapitation strike while being blocked by the entire Armored Division. Still, he didn’t stop him; he only frowned, staring at that arc whose extension speed had slowed among the frenzied pouncing Mecha Group. Even now, he still didn’t understand what these bastards actually wanted to do.

Were they planning to slaughter the entire division? They’d drop dead from exhaustion first!

The white arc kept stretching forward. Slow but unshakable. Three kilometers, two kilometers... All around, the Jiepeng Mecha were sprinting at high speed through rolling clouds of dust, trying to intercept them. The whole encirclement had turned into a teardrop shape, with most of the forces massed between the White Mecha and the base.

Inside, the fighting was fierce; outside, they were ready at any time to throw in reinforcements.

This was a colossal joke... Oono Hayato stared coldly at the White Mecha. He was already prepared to meet the enemy here. If the whole division still couldn’t stop them, then even if he died, he would die here, without taking a single step back!

The dignity of the Oono Family rested right here.

Running away under the protection of the entire Armored Division would make the Oono Family lose respect forever.

”Come on!”

Oono Hayato suddenly snatched up the communicator and roared, ”Come—...”

His voice cut off abruptly.

Under the sweaty gaze of more than a dozen officers inside the Command Mecha, those ten Mecha suddenly turned, smashed through the thin part of the encirclement on the rear right, and charged up a small slope leading toward Height 415.

Before plunging into the forest, they saw one Mecha flick a huge middle finger in this direction.

That arrogant voice of the Leray fatty echoed through the valley.

”Wash your asses and wait. I’ll be back for you in a bit!”

Fatty’s words landed like a hammer, and the whole valley fell dead silent.

Only a few stray shots from Energy Cannons chased the figures of those ten White Mecha and vanished into the forest.

Staring at the several-kilometer stretch of wreckage on the basin plain, and at how the White Mecha had turned just when it was already so close to the Command Mecha it couldn’t get any closer, all the Jiepeng Soldiers suddenly realized that at some point, their undershirts were already soaked through.

That was a madman.

A downright lunatic!

They stared blankly at the forest that had gone calm again, not knowing when these ten terrifying Mecha would suddenly burst out of it again.

************************************************************************************************

On Position 415, not a sound could be heard.

After a long time, the Chuckna Warriors, who’d been dazzled and dazed by this bizarre battle, finally came back to their senses.

They checked the time in confusion. It was already the scheduled withdrawal time.

In front and behind the position, several electronic mecha were fully powered up. The little boy was leading three Electronic Soldiers, scampering back and forth, connecting one anti-detection jammer after another to the electronic mecha with data cables.

Back again in a bit?

The warriors looked at each other...
