Chapter 1234: Chapter 30: Thunderbolt Mecha 3

And when they saw the Mecha they had researched and built actually being pushed to this level of performance, the sense of pride and accomplishment was simply off the charts. Say no more—just the peak values in the data recorder, all far beyond any previous test, would already count as an incredible achievement once they brought them back! Even if this test had put them in mortal danger, it was worth it!

”I’ve lived my whole damn life, and this is the first time I’ve been stuck in a desperate situation without wanting to run for it!” a Chuckna officer muttered to himself.

The comrades beside him all silently nodded. In their hearts, they’d already made up their minds. In a bit, they’d wait until the main force had all passed, then move out themselves. No matter what, they had to see with their own eyes how those guys ravaged the Jiepeng Base. Just thinking about ten Mecha laying into the Jiepeng people had everyone’s hearts racing. What kind of spectacle would that be?!

”No good...” One Mecha stopped. Fatty opened the cockpit and shook his head at Milan, his face heavy.

The people on the sidelines who heard his voice all tensed up and quickly crowded around, asking over each other, ”What is it, what went wrong?!”

”There’s no problem with the Mecha itself. The problem is the control method.”

Fatty shook his head, let out a long sigh, and said to everyone, ”The Binart Twelfth Generation Mecha is thought-controlled. Right now, Thunderbolt’s issue isn’t the Mecha’s capability, it’s the piloting technique. This kind of Mecha is fine if you equip it to the bandit army, but expecting other Mechanical Warriors to bring out its full power... basically impossible.”

The field fell silent. While the researchers were still frowning in thought, Li Cunxin nudged Pei Litong with his elbow.

The two of them looked at a grinning Milan and an eye-rolling Boswell, then exchanged a meaningful look.

The Twelfth Generation Mecha’s very first public appearance had already become that ”bandit army’s” exclusive Mecha. Fuck, this Leray fatty was no easy customer!

The departure order was issued.

One Chuckna Soldier after another slipped quickly and silently through the trenches, converging on the rear exit of the position. It was like a large field with a breach opened in its irrigation ditch—water gushing out in torrents. Across the whole position, patches of dark green were steadily thinning out.

Two long dragons snaked along the valley behind Position 415, marching into the distance. In the middle of the human stream were hundreds of Transport Mecha, self-propelled artillery, and armed troop transport mecha.

Because the 51st Infantry Division had already rushed ahead to Hot Spring Town, the temporary road along the way had been opened through the hills and bridged across the rivers by the engineer regiment. Now the column only needed to follow this road all the way forward—to Hot Spring Town, to meet the fate that awaited this unit.

Either break out, or be wiped out to the last man!

As if sending the unit off, from the far side of Height 415 came the distant rumble of intense artillery and explosions. The warriors kept turning their heads to glance back toward the sound.

They knew that was the ten Fei Alliance Twelfth Generation Mecha, under the control of ten Mechanical Gods, launching a raid on the Jiepeng forward base.

”Boom!” A heaven-shaking explosion echoed through the valley. The whole earth trembled with the blast.

The soldiers did not slow their steps; they quickened their pace. A signaler was marching along when he suddenly pressed a hand to his headset and stopped by the roadside.

The warriors passing by him couldn’t help turning their heads, looking at him with expectant eyes.

The signaler listened intently to his earpiece, then suddenly swung his fist hard, punching the air. His face flushed bright red with excitement: ”Six minutes—killed a battalion commander, sixty-three Mecha, and destroyed an ammunition depot.”

The long column wound forward, erupting in jubilation.
