Chapter 1238: Chapter 32: Falcon Camp

War is like a train with no known destination, advancing along its tracks.

No one can stop it, and no one knows what the end of the tracks will be. Humanity can only move forward with the inertia of war, unable to halt and ignorant of the fate that the next second holds.

Outside the window at every stage, there is scenery unique to that stage. Perhaps it will only be decades later that people realize that the day they experienced was the moment history changed its direction. At the time, no one had the leisure to care about these things.

Everyone was like fish in a dried-up pond, desperately struggling for breath in the muddy puddle at the bottom.

In 2063, in the second year of the full-scale outbreak of war, the leader of the Western Alliance, the Binart Empire, finally launched a full-scale offensive quietly and without warning.

When Sobel launched, it was a thunderbolt strike.

On October 8, after meticulous planning, Sobel ordered the Binart Moon and Howling Moon two Royal Elephant-class fleets to secretly advance through the central lane of the Karsdon Star River, piercing forward through the Pandora nebula from the Noah Battle Zone.

On October 12, after four grueling and dangerous days, the two fleets, having lost twenty percent of their ships, daringly crossed the Pandora nebula, considered a natural barrier, and bypassed to the rear of the Fei Alliance’s Second Group Fleet.

Attracted by the full frontal assault of the Binart Fleet, the Second Fleet was caught off guard, its rear formation virtually shattered in an instant. The central main formation group could only abandon the destroyer and cruiser group that had already advanced to the flanks, forcibly turning to escape. In less than six hours, the battle ended with the devastating defeat of the Second Group Fleet.

In this battle, the Binart breakthrough of the Fei Alliance’s space defense line occupied ninety percent of strategic points in the Noah Star System, opening the door to the Feiyang Republic’s homeland and sounding Sobel’s attack horn.

On October 13, the Binart Empire Fleet launched an offensive from the left wing of the Karsdon Star River at the A80 Star System battle zone, an assembly of five Lion-class and one Elephant-class fleets drove straight through the Sand Snake Corridor, seeking decisive battle. In a disadvantaged position, the Feiyang Fleet actively retreated, abandoning the Sand Snake Corridor and concentrating in the rear.

On the same day, Sobel personally commanded six Elephant-class fleets and fourteen Lion-class fleets, launching an attack toward the right wing Montoya Interstellar Corridor. The Feiyang Fourth, Sixth, and Eighth Group Fleets, which originally held the advantage in this region, after five days and nights of fierce battle, ultimately could not withstand the offensive of the renowned general Sobel, forced to shrink back to the homeland.

By October 16, the three major battle zones of the Karsdon Star River had been fully breached by Sobel, with the Binart army advancing in a straight line, overwhelming with unstoppable momentum.

Just when the nations of the Fei Alliance were exclaiming that Sobel was about to invade the homeland of the Feiyang Republic, the Feiyang Republic unexpectedly salvaged a bit of pride in another battle zone.

On October 14, the Feiyang Leefer Legion, originally assembling in the Lulan Star System in the Ryan Republic, suddenly advanced toward the Catalonia Star System.

Under Leefer’s command, the vanguard of six A-level fleets, employing high-speed interjection, disregarded both flanks, with an extremely fierce stance, routed the Naga Federation Fleet.

Immediately, a total of sixteen Armored Divisions from four armies forced landings 220 kilometers north and 340 kilometers south of Yapula City, a military stronghold on the Evergreen Vine Star, advancing both north and south, launching an attack on Yapula.

In this battle, the officers of the Leefer Legion led from the front, soldiers fearlessly charged forward. Regardless of designation, location, or time... at the engagement point, the forward marching slogans were deafening. After forty hours of fierce combat, they annihilated the six main armored divisions of the Naga Federation amassed in Yapula, destroying its army headquarters, swiftly sweeping across half of the Evergreen Vine territory.

Leefer’s maneuver not only caught the enemy off guard but also surprised everyone in the allied forces.

It was known that when he launched the surprise attack, his forces had not even fully assembled. According to combat plans, he was originally supposed to coordinate the attack with the Ryan Army twenty days later. But who knew, he quietly completed the secret operation plan, shedding the Ryan Army, striking boldly, catching all by surprise, decisively changing the course.

It was only when most of the Catalonia Star System came under the control of the Fei Alliance that Leefer’s troops had not yet truly completed their assembly. However, he had shifted the assembly point from the Lulan Star System to the Catalonia Star System. This battle was extremely clean and sharp. Leefer’s reputation soared to unprecedented heights because of this battle.

The Karsdon Star River and Catalonia Star System both belonged to the Central Combat Zone. One victory and one defeat carried deep significance. Whether in the civil sphere or the political scene, there were all sorts of voices, rumors swirling. Amidst the public’s cheering for Leefer’s battle achievements, the questioning voices about Hastings’ lack of action were also rising.

Now let’s consider the equally critical Southeast Battle Zone.

On October 10, the Western Alliance forces stationed in the Bermuda Star System, with the Desic 5th Fleet and the Jiepeng Sunshine Super Fleet as the main force, launched an attack on the Newton Star System of the Leray Federation.

The Commander of the Fei Alliance Southeast Expeditionary Army, Fiscella, had proposed before the battle to exchange space for time, a plan decisively rejected by the President of Leray, Flavio. Facing the Western Alliance’s grand offensive, Fiscella held his forces in reserve, coldly observing. Under Vice Admiral Chel’s command, the Leray Army fought fiercely at the Newton Jump Point, repelling the Western Alliance forces’ jumps six times.

On the same day, the Russell Fleet, originally stationed in the Longbow Star System, suddenly appeared at the Bermuda Star System Jump Point, an Elephant-class Fleet and three new fleets, in cooperation with two fleets of Douglas, recklessly charged, annihilating the two Suss B-class fleets left guarding, pressing toward the Rodbia Star, forcing the Western Alliance forces to halt the strong attack on the Newton Star System and fully retract to reinforce.
