Chapter 1236: Chapter 31: Bobett_2

The Monitoring Bureau, the institution that represents terror in the eyes of all Jiepeng people, seems to inherently belong to this person. Since he took over the Monitoring Bureau at the age of twenty, his name has become synonymous with this institution.

Mysterious, ruthless, merciless, violent, bloody, powerful, elite, Royal First Guard... These words are the impressions that come to mind for Jiepeng people or other countries’ intelligence agencies when mentioning the Jiepeng Monitoring Bureau.

It’s hard to select a word that can fully represent the feeling the Monitoring Bureau gives. If one must find a representative, a comprehensive image, then the mixture of these words is a person’s name—Bobett Sacher.

Six years ago, due to an intelligence leak, Bobett commanded the Monitoring Bureau to arrest thirteen high-ranking generals of the Jiepeng Military and over a hundred school-level officers, all of whom were executed.

Three years ago, in another purge, including one duke and one admiral, two hundred and sixty government officials and seventy-nine officers from six military districts were sent to the Monitoring Bureau’s Special Prison. Legend has it that in that terrifying prison, no one can come out unscathed. Those who do are usually insane.

And now, he has come here in person.

The functions of the Monitoring Bureau are not just as simple as its name suggests. It is also the most potent armed force of the Imperial Family. The reputation of the First Guard surpasses even the Three Great Super Fleets! At least, before Mikami Yuto’s Three Great Super Fleets became famous, the First Guard was already renowned.

Like most Royal Family’s direct guard units in Imperial Countries, all members of this giant are the Royal Family’s most loyal followers, the most devout believers. They have firm beliefs, are brave and tenacious in combat, and fearless in sacrifice. They are the force under Jiepeng Emperor Nicholas V to rule Jiepeng.

The appearance of Bobett and his Monitoring Bureau indicates Jiepeng Royal Family has expressed that the Resk Battle must not fail.

Under such a tone, it’s imaginable how furious Bobett will be upon arriving at Canglang Star due to the shame of being annihilated by a group of Chuckna’s wandering soldiers.

In the silence, Bobett stood up and slowly walked towards the virtual screen.

His footsteps echoed loudly and clearly in the spacious meeting room.

”Who are they?” Bobett’s hand passed through the virtual screen, moving up and down over a Spirit Cat Mecha with a red emblem in the corner of the image, twisting the Mecha in his palm.

After a moment of silence, he turned to Magi, his green eyes slightly narrowed: ”Don’t know?”

Magi’s body shook like a sieve. A veteran of many battles, he tried hard to control himself but couldn’t. The impending doom made his spirit nearly collapse. His powerless body couldn’t support facing this person. What frightened him more was that he truly didn’t know where these damn Mechanical Gods emerged from!

”You don’t recognize him, it’s not surprising.” Unexpectedly, Bobett smiled faintly and clapped his hands.

The ceiling’s shadowless electronic lights switched on, illuminating the entire meeting room brightly.

A Monitoring Bureau officer strode forward, stuffing the electronic file in his hand into the player. The image on the virtual screen rapidly contracted to a dazzling light ball, then expanded again, morphing into a Fatty in Leray uniform.

”This person, named Tian Xingjian.” Bobett glanced around the room, calmly speaking: ”Twenty-seven years old this year, enlisted in 2059, never attended the Military Academy, originated from a Mechanic Soldier. Through accumulated military merits, he advanced from Corporal to Major General.”

The meeting room erupted in astonishment. Without attending the Military Academy, ascending from a Mechanic Soldier Corporal to Major General in four years, even during wartime with accumulated military merits, was rocket-speed!

Two officers who recognized this person stood up abruptly: ”It’s him?!”

”Having interacted with Leray over this long period in Bermuda, you should have heard of this person.” Bobett nodded faintly, raising his gaze to the screen, continuing: ”This is a very interesting person. His experiences are extremely complex, and the military exploits he achieved since the outbreak of the Leray National Defense War are beyond imagination. According to reliable intelligence, he was the key figure in Miloke’s counterattack against Russell’s treason and the culprit leading to Gazalin Morton family’s downfall.”

Bobett sat sideways at the swivel chair at the oval conference table’s arc top, lightly tapping the tabletop with his fingers, speaking to everyone: ”Gazalin Emperor James was his captive, Second Prince Bruce and Third Prince Stephen’s deaths are directly linked to him. It can be said, he single-handedly brought down the entire Gazalin.”

Though some present had heard these rumors before, hearing this from Bobett still shook them to their core.

”A few months ago,” Bobett coldly looked at the screen: ”He took Mars Free Port with a Destroyer’s force. A few days ago, he captured Duke Binart Hanfley in the Longbow Star System, forcing the Hanfrey Fleet to surrender.”

The room fell into deathly silence.

The news of the Hanfrey Fleet’s defeat had reached Canglang Star. The present officers had speculated various scenarios, yet the specifics had always been unclear. Listening to this insider information from Bobett, who never enjoyed hearsay, each one was speechless, looking at the Fatty on the screen as if they had seen a ghost.
