Chapter 1196: Chapter 8: Beating Them While Holding Their Hands!

Major General Sade Magee of the Jiepeng Army rushed to the Karachi Mountain Area frontline and immediately ordered a frontline military meeting upon entering the command center.

In just five minutes, images of several division commanders appeared on the light screens around the operations room.

”What is the frontline situation?” Magee stood with his hands behind his back, staring intently at the electronic map in front of him.

On the map, three red arrows advanced westward along the valley. On the left, closest to the Karachi River, was the 194th Armored Division, in the center the 172nd Armored Division, and on the right the 203rd Mechanized Infantry Division. Behind these three divisions was a regiment of the 59th Armored Division and the 281st Infantry Division. Another Infantry Division and two regiments of the 59th Division were stationed around the command center.

Since the first defensive line of the Chuckna Army was breached, to prevent the Chuckna from escaping northeast in desperation, the three arrows gradually spread out, forming seven smaller arrows. In total, six armored regiments and three infantry regiments were spread along a winding line of fire in the mountains.

”Sir, my division is currently launching a fierce attack on enemy positions B302, 297, 294, and 415. Their secondary and tertiary outposts have been completely taken by my division......”

”I don’t want to hear that!” Magee suddenly turned around, glaring at Zhongshan Yi, division commander of the 172nd Armored Division, and said angrily, ”I need you to give me an exact time on when you can breach the Chuckna’s defenses!”

”Within twenty-four hours! Sir!” Zhongshan Yi said, standing firmly.

”Twenty-four hours?!” Magee stared fiercely at the officers on the screen, his voice as chilling as a ghost from hell: ”Break through their line in twenty-four hours? Then how long do you plan to take to break through the enemy’s next line and annihilate them?!”

”Sir, they’re already surrounded by the Karachi River, they can’t impact the overall situation on Canglang Star at all. We only need to proceed steadily. If time was of the essence, why didn’t we concentrate our forces for a breakthrough at the outset, splitting into three attacking arrows isn’t that the strategy you initially set out.....”

Major General Oono Hayato of the 59th Armored Division spoke respectfully, yet with a hint of impoliteness. This high-ranking noble of the Jiepeng Empire was hardly afraid of Magee, who hailed from an ordinary noble family.

”Oono!” snapped Alec Ganlon, Deputy Commander of the frontline command next to Magee: ”You’re out of line!”

Seeing Magee’s livid face, Oono Hayato showed a hint of disdain and lowered his head, ceasing to speak.

Every officer present knew that Magee had previously adopted a cautious, three-pronged squeezing approach to prevent another escape attempt by the Chuckna. This was the main reason for the slow advance. The division commanders couldn’t be held accountable for this.

Now, Magee’s relentless urging for an attack was due to pressure from Parent, Commander of the Army Group of the Canglang Star Warzone. As Mikami Yuto launched an offensive against Resk Star, this area still hadn’t quashed the remaining Chuckna divisions, causing Parent to be extremely displeased with Magee.

According to headquarters messages, Magee had already promised Parent to annihilate the Chuckna in two days. This showed his urgency.

If it took twenty-four hours just to break through the second line of defense, there was no way to annihilate the enemy within two days.

”Colonel Zhongshan Yi...” Magee’s eyes glinted darkly: ”I’ll give you two more armored regiments, within twelve hours you must break through the second line. The enemy’s main stronghold is at position 415, once we take that, we won’t be constrained by the terrain. Their destruction will be a matter of time! Give me an answer!”

”Sir, if the armored regiments can arrive within four hours, I will relentlessly attack the enemy positions until they are completely destroyed,” Zhongshan Yi said. ”Furthermore, I need support from the land-based fighter squadron. The position 415 is too high, our frontal assault incurs great losses, as the enemy has concentrated almost all their mechas and firepower there!”

”Fine, I’ll give you that!” Magee turned to Oono Hayato, saying lightly: ”Major General Oono, I appreciate your efforts.”

Oono Hayato squinted at Magee, saluted, and said: ”No problem, the 59th Division is the Jiepeng’s elite, I can confidently dispatch my troops to anyone’s frontline, awaiting my defeat........”

Oono Hayato closed the communication, leaving a lingering remark: ”.....might as well hope for universal doom.”

The battle quickly ended as the infantry were deployed.

The valley was a mess. Destroyed mechas were still burning fiercely, occasionally erupting in explosions. Warriors gathered around the tarmac, their eyes bright with anticipation, eager to seize the spoils. Even the usually composed Major Anthony was visibly excited, rubbing his hands and muttering to himself.

”Two hundred and eighty-six Fushan Mechas, eighty Spirit Cat Mechas, eight Black Wind Electronic Mechas, six Evil Dragon Heavy Mechas, twenty War Elephant Medium Mechas...... aside from some that were destroyed, they’re all here,” the little kid’s eyes gleamed with gold as he grabbed Fatty’s pants and shook hard: ”Fatty, we’ve struck it rich, struck it rich!”

”This is striking it rich?!” Fatty spat on the ground disdainfully: ”You’re so naive!”

Turning around, his eyes shining, he swiftly waved his hand: ”Divide the spoils!”

”Hooray!” Over a hundred impatient Mechanical Warriors quickly rushed toward the mechas, their wolf-like fervor reminiscent of bachelors finally encountering a charming woman.
