Chapter 1193: Chapter 8-17: Raid on the Camp (Part 2)

If Marshal Li meets any mishap, they’ll poke a hole in the sky!

Fatty piloted the Mecha, silently moving through the mountainous jungle.

This Mecha was the [Taixing] previously piloted by Cosmo. After acquiring more materials, Fatty further modified the Mecha, and now its performance is no less than a brand-new [Taixing].

At the foot of the mountain, Markovich led the team forward slowly.

In front of the team, the two [Fushan] piloted by Cosmo and Meng Xun took the lead, followed by a Transport Mecha, four self-propelled artillery, a Command Mecha, a repair vehicle, and an energy supply vehicle. More than two hundred soldiers, all dressed in Chuckna uniforms, swayed back and forth on the vehicles and the Mechas.

At the end of the team were three other [Fushan] piloted by Hagrove, Wagstaff, and Baz.

Because the unit masqueraded as belonging to the 203rd Infantry Division’s Jiepeng Infantry Battalion had already breached the first line of defense and moved near the second line, they were authorized by SkyNet under the guise of impersonation to swagger along the temporary mountain road built by the Jiepeng people towards the north section of the second line.

Beams of light flickered back and forth in the dark mountain forest.

With no other Jiepeng forces around, the warriors chatted, occasionally breaking into laughter. In every group, there was a bandit soldier speaking fervently. From rescuing Admiral Zhang Pengcheng’s 1201st Fleet to the two generals fiercely defeating the Feiyang B15 Fleet Commander Sammon, to the Longbow Star System, capturing Hanfrey and guarding the Southeast Main Channel for Chuckna... In less than half an hour, the reddened-eyed Chuckna warriors had already regarded these rookies as family.

What impressed the Chuckna warriors most was this group’s remarkably calm mentality.

Though it was already dark, they encountered several Jiepeng forces along the way. Whether under the bright beam of a searchlight or when approached by inquisitors, these guys remained cheerful and unperturbed, seemingly oblivious to the danger. Their composure made the Chuckna warriors doubt whether this bunch of guys knew where they were or what they were about to undertake!

Influenced by them, the Chuckna warriors also became relaxed. No matter how bad the situation or bleak the future, death was all there was to fear.

Both the 220 prisoners of war and the remaining twenty under Nash had crawled back from the brink of death. Without these self-proclaimed bandits, they would have long crossed the River Styx. Besides, which Chuckna people are afraid to die?! At worst, they would just cause havoc with their Fatty Major General.

To be honest, when Fatty Major General proposed raiding an armored camp, no Chuckna warrior dared to believe he was serious.

Just over two hundred infantrymen and a total of six Mechas planning to raid an armored camp? That was as ridiculous as a rabbit rolling up its sleeves and threatening to beat a tiger!

Nash’s group might have been half-convinced, but the two hundred rescued prisoners of war were on edge.

A whole armored camp! According to Jiepeng’s structure, it comprised at least three companies and two platoons of Mechas, totaling over four hundred units! Even if they didn’t fight back and lined up for a beating, it would take until the New Year. Even at night, with most Mechanical Warriors in the modular barracks, at least forty Mechas would be patrolling.

No one knew what Fatty Major General mumbled while pointing at the map, but the officers were persuaded. Their iron-blue faces, clenched teeth expressions were much like bandits preparing to do business with a fat sheep!

”Turn right,” came Fatty’s voice in the communication channel.

The warriors fell silent upon hearing the command.

The Mecha turned off the road onto a gentle slope, while the repair vehicle and energy supply vehicle lowered their mechanical legs, switching to mountain cross-country mode.

In intense shuddering, the team silently crossed a small stream, walked upstream for nearly two kilometers, entered the jungle, climbed a ridge, pressed onward for over ten kilometers, and stopped in a mountain hollow.

As soon as the Mechas came to a halt, the warriors dismounted swiftly. Figures rushed back and forth, with muffled orders echoing, and footsteps disorderly. After a brief bustle, a neat team appeared in the clearing among the woods.

Fatty jumped out of his Mecha, behind him, Markovich and Hagrove stood in a row, with little kid, Nash, Anthony, and two other Majors Li Weiguo and Pang Li beside him.

Canglang Star had two satellites, casting a dim light over the treetops in the jungle, and the soft sound of a stream could be heard faintly below the mountain.

Fatty’s eyes glinted faintly in the darkness.

”You all know my name, but probably most don’t know my background,” Fatty said loudly as he looked at the warriors before him. ”I am a Chuckna, Leray Federation Major General. Since Gazalin invaded Leray in 2059, I’ve never left the battlefield! The Gazalin Emperor, I captured him. The Mars Free Channel, I seized it. Your Admiral Zhang Pengcheng, I saved him. The Longbow Star System, I defended it!”

Mountain breezes rustled, and the team was silent.

The warriors quietly watched this Fatty, whose face twitched with muscle, somewhat fierce. Their hearts violently shook with each illustrious achievement that Fatty declared, as their heartbeats grew ever quicker.
