Chapter 1190: Chapter 8-16: Breakout (Part 2)_4

This is putting oneself in a deadly situation to then emerge alive!

In a daze, he and Balmer vaguely heard Old Marshal Li Cunxin muttering to himself.

”God bless, Buddha bless, ancestors and forefathers bless!”

When the little kid and two hundred and twenty Chuckna prisoners charged onto the front of the position, the battle was already over.

With the cooperation of two Mechas, Fatty and the others counterattacked the enemy’s position, not even sparing a few self-propelled artillery pieces. No fleeing Jiepeng Soldier escaped.

After the elated Chuckna Warriors met up, the whole valley echoed with joyful thunder.

”Descend the mountain from here, moving in the opposite direction, we can bypass behind the Second Armored Group of the Jiepeng 172 Armored Division. They have divided their forces along the way, eager to attack the second line of defense. As long as we act quickly, we can pierce their attack line before their 281st Infantry Division arrives, and rendezvous with our main forces!”

On the Jiepeng launch position, Fatty, covered in sweat, was repairing the four captured [Fushan] Mechas. Shen Ming and another bandit army mechanic were helping beside him. Officers surrounded Fatty, analyzing the breakout route pointed out by the little kid. Around them, warriors were gathering military supplies, and in the distance, a few gunshots were heard, that’s a warrior executing prisoners.

The officers and soldiers hearing the gunshots didn’t even lift their heads.

The current situation doesn’t allow for carrying prisoners, and no one would show mercy at this time. This is a life-and-death war; executing prisoners is nothing to these soldiers.

Besides, everyone knows that in the last attack, a bomb killed eight bandit soldiers, including two mechanics, which completely enraged all the bandit soldiers. Now, these rookies look at everyone with red eyes.

Fatty didn’t bother to question about the executions. Although he cherished life, he cherished his own and his people’s lives. Being ruthless to the enemy is his forte. The vengeful nature of the bandit army was influenced by him. In this army, each warrior is blood-bound brothers. They are not gentlemen formed by walking in step together, but brothers in life and death, forged through countless bloody battles.

Being a bunch of lawless bandits and robbers, if anyone dares to kill one of them, they could level the whole family including ancestral graves! What law or compassion? For bandit army soldiers raised in Mars’s laws of the jungle, it’s nothing but crap.

Mercy to the enemy is cruelty to oneself and fellow warriors! They understood this principle at the age of three. Idiots are the ones who talk righteousness with their enemies.

After welding the last Mecha’s shell patch, Fatty exhaustedly removed the automatic repair arm, accepted a lit cigarette from Markovich, took a deep draw, then squatted down, staring at the projected map in a daze.

Pipi sketched several breakout routes, like a tangled mess, twisting through the enemy rear mountains. Fatty listened to the officers’ discussion for some time.

He’s not worried about how many enemies are encountered on the way, he’s worried after piercing through the enemy’s attack line and joining the main forces, what effect could be achieved! From the Jiepeng SkyNet’s situation map, now the Chuckna Army is like buns in the dog’s mouth. The rear path is blocked, forcing them to use mountain tops to fortify positions.

This kind of strategy is just attrition.

Even if there’s defensive terrain advantage, the Jiepeng Army’s numerical superiority is overwhelming. Moreover, mountain tops, no matter how high, aren’t higher than Jiepeng Fighters. Although these positions interlink firmly controlling Jiepeng Main Force’s advance path, in fact, they are clear targets for the enemy.

Thinking about lying in a hole with their butts exposed to artillery fire, Fatty couldn’t hold his urine.

No need for a hard assault, just using firepower coverage combined with fighter precise strikes, the Jiepeng Army can steadily push the Chuckna Army to a dead end. And the enemy commander obviously intends to do exactly that. One Jiepeng attack arrow after another, coordinated, steadily advancing like a bulldozer - heavy and solid. Not leaving any opportunity!

Fatty’s gaze crossed the battle region, looking towards the upper reaches of the Karachi River, hundreds of kilometers away.

In the west, northwest, and north, Lower Star Fortress Town, Hot Spring Town, Kaff Town, three agricultural settlements are like pins, nailed to the Chuckna Army main force’s movement route toward the Northern Mountain Region. These towns are respectively guarded by two Armored Groups. From the Jiepeng SkyNet System, it’s evident the Jiepeng people have completed their fortifications, ready to wait for the Chuckna main force to crash upwards.

Fatty took deep draws on his cigarette, the red cigarette tip burning fast like a lit gunpowder fuse.... surrounded tightly like an iron bucket, finding a way out is indeed as hard as ascending to heaven.

Why is my fate so bitter, this life is unbearable! Fatty angrily flicked the cigarette butt away, stood up......

The surrounding officers’ eyes lit up. Just as they were estimating what good ideas Fatty might come up with, they saw him asking Markovich for another cigarette, lighting it, then crouch back down, continuing to sigh at the map.

What to do? Invade SkyNet to alter commands, lure the tiger away from the mountain?

This thought flashed in his mind, only to be vetoed by Fatty.

Pipi may be able to invade SkyNet, see through Jiepeng’s deployment, but altering commands is another matter entirely.

Those combat staff in front of SkyNet aren’t inflatable dolls. If any military unit deviates from its set path, it will immediately arouse the alertness of combat staff. Instead of helping, it might cost them their biggest card!
