Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 1195: Chapter 8 Volume 17: Camp Raid_4

”Only one electronic mecha on the opposing side is activated, and it can be jammed for at least half an hour.” The little kid grinned broadly, ”Plus, with Lord Fart here, Fatty, you can rest assured. Within an hour, not a single signal will escape from here. They won’t be able to contact SkyNet.”

”Baz.” Fatty put down the binoculars and gritted his teeth to order, ”The four mechas on the hillside to the right are yours. Draw the enemy’s attention, and once they’re down, descend into battle directly.”

”Understood!” Baz engaged the mecha stealth mode and slipped into the forest.

Fatty checked the time, jumped onto the mecha, and said to Anthony and Markovich, ”When you see us engaging from the outside, you can descend.”

”General!” As Fatty was about to close the hatch, Anthony urgently called out...

”Something else?” Fatty blinked.

Anthony glanced towards the darkest part of the valley, gritted his teeth, saluted, and said, ”Good luck!”

Behind him, more than two hundred Chuckna Warriors simultaneously saluted.

”Don’t worry!” Fatty raised his eyebrows, ”Since I’ve decided to go through with this, I won’t make a fool of myself by dying before the battle is even joined! You guys might as well pray for those Jiepeng Mixed Bloods!”

With that, Fatty closed the hatch, started the mecha, and waved, ”Go!”

The four Fushans followed behind Fatty’s battered mecha, streaking down the mountain like meteors, disappearing into the dense forest in the blink of an eye.

The wind howled ever fiercer. The warriors stood still, each second feeling torturously slow. In this silence, the valley seemed frozen in time.

Nobody knew how much time had passed when suddenly a ”clang” was heard... From the right hillside, came a clanging of metal.

That was Baz!

The warriors sharply turned their heads and listened intently. The sound grew louder and more urgent, like war drums pounding furiously in the otherwise silent valley.

The camp below erupted as if a bomb had gone off. Floodlights snapped on. Disheveled soldiers rushed out of the barracks, and mechas hidden in the darkness activated their searchlights, their beams sweeping across the mountains, as several mechas began moving towards the source of the noise.

Amid this chaos, a thunderous shout erupted, shaking the valley.

”Kill!”

Following this deafening roar, five dark shadows shot out of the forest like lightning, piercing straight into the chaotic formation of the alert mechas running towards the right hillside.

The war drums multiplied from one to six.

Amidst the piercing clamor of metal, five bandit army mechas parted waves among the Jiepeng Mecha Group. One after another, Jiepeng mechas were obliterated, each turned into sudden fireballs in the dark, scattering countless debris into the surroundings.

The warriors atop the mountain felt their hearts race, their entire bodies electrified. Hot blood surged, even their breath in the biting wind felt as hot as flames.

Under Fatty’s lead, the charge of the five mechas resembled an unstoppable torrent, a mighty force making one’s heart quake with fear, irresistibly daunting. To resist was to face obliteration, to face ruin!

”Boom!” A thunderous explosion resounded from the right hillside, as a fiery red sphere rolled down the slope. Baz’s mecha, in the midst of the flames, charged straight down the hill, cleaving directly into the approaching Jiepeng Mecha Group.

Like a tiger among sheep!

The warriors atop the mountain could not find words to describe Baz’s ferocity! They couldn’t even reconcile the image of the mecha darting amidst the undulating forest with the grinning, lazy young man who couldn’t even hold a gun correctly. At this moment, he was nothing less than a fearsome deity!

Meanwhile, Fatty and others, in just moments, had destroyed at least fifteen mechas, and simultaneously altered their formation. Fatty and Hagrove, with Wagstaff, who had been charging ahead, stopped and attacked in three directions like fireworks dispersing. Meanwhile, Cosmo and Meng Xun vaulted overhead straight into the camp.

Energy cannons and autocannons wreaked havoc within the camp. The otherwise defenseless modular barracks collapsed in waves under the explosions. Screams rang out amidst the bloodied Jiepeng Soldiers.

Two mechas, resembling black-robed grim reapers wielding scythes, slaughtered all Jiepeng Soldiers attempting to reach the airstrip at a speed so swift they seemed like phantoms. In an instant, rivers of blood flowed!

On the slope of the outer camp, on the slope below, three mechas slaughtered the Jiepeng alert mechas rushing from all directions at incredible speed. Their movements were so fast, so sharp. They weaved through the Jiepeng Mecha’s fire nets like deities, relying solely on their meteoric speed to engage in close combat, killing, then pouncing on the next victim.

No mecha could withstand two moves from them. Their phantoms flickered among the Jiepeng Mecha Group, even viewed from the mountain, their traces couldn’t be captured. The only visible remnant was the wreckage of mechas and the rising columns of flame they left in their wake.

The barracks within the camp had collapsed more than halfway. The Jiepeng Soldiers finally crumbled into panic. No one dared approach the airstrip again. They began fleeing in all directions.

Outside the camp, after having destroyed eight Jiepeng Mechas, Baz had reunited with Fatty and the others.

This was a massacre, a slaughter like wolves among sheep!

”May the ancestors and elders bless Chuckna!” Major Anthony rubbed his stiff face from excitement and ordered, ”Li Weiguo!”

”Here!” Major Li Weiguo stepped forward.

”Take fifty people and protect them!” Anthony pointed at several bandit army rookies and Long Tai, infantry, Weiseler, the three, his gaze as sharp as daggers, fiercely saying, ”If even a hair is harmed, I’ll see you court-martialed!”

”Yes, Major!” Li Weiguo, his face flushed red, stuck out his neck and saluted, standing beside Weiseler and the others, ”From now on, they’re my fathers! Unless I’m dead, nobody can get near them!”

”Our turn!” Amidst laughter, Anthony surveyed the surrounding Chuckna Warriors, already boiling with blood, looking into their fiery eyes, ”Is everyone ready?!”

”Ready, sir!”

”Go!”

Boom, the last barrack collapsed at the foot of the mountain. The Jiepeng Soldiers fled across the hills and plains.
