Counterfeit Hero

”The bandit army took a detour?” The Mech Knights looked at each other in astonishment. They naturally remembered the long-distance raid battle at Silicon Valley on Mars that turned the world upside down. At that time, those 240 Mechas roared all the way, the forces along the route were either annihilated or surrendered, shocking the entire Mars Free World and causing an upheaval.

From that moment on, their Sect Master began to pay further attention to the Sect Mutual Aid Alliance. This brought about the gathering of major sects at Puluo Town and later the formation of the bandit army.

Fatty’s intention, could it be....

The terrifying speculation made the Mech Knights open their mouths wide, looking at the fat figure doing warm-up exercises in the dark, their minds went blank.

This deranged lunatic!

Even though the location of the Northern Alliance’s main base was no secret, it was still the Northern Alliance! They had more than a dozen armored groups, backed by the Suss Empire, with a large amount of military weapons prepared, and countless followers. It wasn’t like the former Kasi Youth Party holed up in Silicon Valley with a few hundred broken guns!

After defeating the Three Major Schools, the Northern Alliance had controlled nearly seventy percent of Mars Planet. Several key port cities, transportation hubs, and major industrial zones, as well as Mars’ material reserves, were all in the hands of the Northern Alliance! The Northern Alliance had now begun to be seen as the rulers by Mars people.

The entire southern, eastern, and northern parts of Central City, along with the central area, were all their territory. Even the surrounding forces were affiliated with them. Don’t mention the three Blood Shadow Armored Battalions stationed at their base, and a mixed formation group and two Blood Shadow Armored Battalions in the nearby Northern Industrial Zone. Just passing through the areas guarded by their troops to reach Central City was enough to give everyone a tough challenge.

Even mobilizing the entire bandit army wouldn’t guarantee breaching their defenses. With just these fifty Mechas, how far could they go? The enemy could drown them with just a spit!

”You plan to attack the Northern Alliance Base?” The Level 3 Mecha War God of the Mingxin Sect, Hagrove, with his big beard and sturdy build, spoke in a tone that didn’t quite match his fierce appearance: ”It can’t be true, just with us few?”

One couldn’t blame Hagrove for his trembling voice, everyone present felt their hearts pounding. Even the bravest didn’t contemplate such a crazy way to die.

”Yes!” Fatty raised both hands, arms pressed against the ears, and leaned backward.

Everyone foolishly watched this fat man with a protruding belly fold himself effortlessly, staying in a posture where all four limbs touched the ground, and then continued his contortions, finally managing to pull his head through his legs.

This freakish monster!

The monster, with his own crotch facing him, spoke solemnly: ”Based on the intelligence and simulation results we have so far, our opponent has clearly identified our weakness in being unable to easily abandon Puluo Town. Although Puluo Town is small, it is the base of our Sect Mutual Aid Alliance. If we choose to lead our forces to break out of the encirclement, our families and our logistics personnel will be massacred.”

”At that point....” Fatty flipped his legs backward to land, finishing his warm-up, and said: ”We wouldn’t need them to pursue us; we would fall apart on our own! Once the Northern Alliance and the Suss Empire’s forces control Mars, no matter how we run, we won’t escape their grasp.”

”So.....” Fatty took an electronic folder from the Mecha cockpit and opened it: ”At this stage, the only way we can protect Puluo Town and deliver a heavy blow to the Northern Alliance is through one method!”

The map on the electronic folder was densely marked with all sorts of weird symbols. Fatty squatted on the ground, dragging his finger across the map: ”Counter-attack!”

”But Colonel.....” Kolt stammered: ”The disparity in strength between us and the enemy is just too great. They are a vast army, and we are just fifty people......”

”The outcome of this battle doesn’t depend on sheer strength comparison.” Fatty’s usually simple face now bore an unusual arrogant expression, making him seem like a different person: ”What we compete with the enemy is who achieves the strategic objective first!”

”This is a game...” Fatty’s voice, in the gentle night breeze, seemed somewhat ethereal: ”.....a game where we out-calculate our opponent! Time, troop strength, routes, attack intensity, coordinated offensives... Our opponent has crafted a battle plan that concentrates all these advantages. In every aspect, they hold absolute superiority. Right now, they are prepared to convert these advantages into a victory!”

Fatty lit a cigarette, his face flickering in the firelight.

”Unfortunately, they underestimated the combat power of our 3rd Group, and they don’t know about our Super Spearhead Battalion. More importantly, they don’t know that what I fear least, is calculation!”

Fatty wasn’t boasting. The first chapter of the Ancient Deduction Technique he studied was titled ”No Calculation Left.” Years of practice had shown that this deduction technique, which would give most people headaches just looking at it, was unparalleled in calculation ability. Combined with the thousands of battle cases, tens of thousands of attack and defense scenarios, deployments, lessons, and experiences packed into his mind by Russell, in terms of calculation, he truly feared no one.

Although he hadn’t yet developed his tactical thinking and style, solving this offensive and defensive exercise within the known intelligence was not a difficult task for him.
