Counterfeit Hero

However, the airport now called Scadivow has been surrounded and has become the main base of the bandit army.

Every day, the people of Puluo Town can see squads of Mecha emerging from the airport, dispersing through the spider-web-like roads in all directions. This is the bandit army conducting their daily defense routines. From time to time, heavy truck convoys escorted by Mecha can be seen continuously heading up the mountain and disappearing into the dense forested service roads.

At night, as seen from Puluo Town, the airport, standing much higher above the average sea level, is brightly lit. If you get closer, you can faintly hear the clamor of voices, as if a giant factory is working overtime to meet its deadlines.

No matter when, just seeing this place gives people a sense of reassurance.

The early summer sun was not yet harsh. In the cool breeze of Puluo Town, it made people feel warm and a little drowsy. Helen set up her camera in the middle of the enormous No. 2 landing platform of Scadivow Airport, focusing intently on filming.

Her golden hair was tied up high, caught in a voluminous ponytail at the back with a headband, exposing her elegant, swan-like white neck. Bent over, her firm bosom, slender waist, and rounded hips were tightly wrapped in her blue uniform, showcasing her curves.

The bandit soldiers passing by always glanced in that direction subconsciously. Whether they were new recruits or had been part of the bandit army from the start, they couldn’t resist this beautiful temptation.

Whenever they saw Helen, they couldn’t help but marvel that only God could create such a stunning masterpiece.

Trucks loaded with supplies were dragged by Transport Mecha, clanking along the airport road beside the landing platform, countless bandit soldiers busily running back and forth. They would sometimes jump onto self-driving railcars to their destinations, then jump off, going in and out of the airport building.

In the distance, the outdoor dock repair scaffolding had been set up. Two transport ships were being serviced. Further away, the fifth and sixth landing platforms had been converted into training grounds, where various Mecha were racing, twisting, and turning wildly.

The supporting industrial zone, unseen but bustling, was busy with Mecha modification in various workshops, the hum and boom of machines vaguely heard, adding even more noise to the hectic scene.

Helen gently brushed back the long strand of hair falling by her ear, took off her hairclip, and repositioned it. Her eyes never left the camera lens. Since arriving at Scadivow, she had been filming non-stop every day, fascinated by every corner of this base.

She still couldn’t believe that all of this belonged to the bandit army!

From a fleeing destroyer to a pirate base, from a branch of a Mecha school to making a name in the Free World, from Phantom Stream to the Four Great Schools, and then to the various small and medium schools that followed, from the almost-ruined First Avenue in Puluo Town to this bandit base that originally was an airport…

It all seemed like a dream.

Somehow, the bandit army had grown stronger. The ambitious words of that Fatty standing under the pirate base statue back then were no longer a mere fantasy.

Helen zoomed the camera in to capture the scene of scientists arguing in front of a communications console under the dock scaffolding. These tireless scientific maniacs were brought back by Fatty after a long fight! Recently, more scientists and mechanics had trickled into Puluo.

Not just these, it was heard that Chekov’s fleet also had won their battle. Not only did they destroy the main Demon’s Eye fleet, capture Steelman, and seize the pirate base, but they also acquired a carrier, two battleships, five cruisers, and thousands of battle-hardened Saleria Space Fleet Soldiers.

Thinking of this, the corners of Helen’s mouth couldn’t help but curl into a mischievous smile. Her blooming beauty almost made two bandit soldiers passing by her collide.

Aside from Markovich, only Helen, who spent every day and night with Fatty, knew the details about the Saleria Fleet. She felt warm with the trust Fatty placed in her. And thinking of the way that guy haggled unceremoniously with the beautiful female Major General before she left the room, Helen couldn’t help but laugh.

Even Helen felt jealous of that mature beauty. Fatty almost drove that beautiful Commander mad with anger.
