Counterfeit Hero

But bizarrely, no matter how they fought, apart from the screeching of the Mecha engines, the footsteps while moving, and the mechanical sounds, there was no collision sound at all. That familiar metallic clash in Mecha Fighting was absent from start to finish.

This scene exuded an eerie sensation no matter how one looked at it.

Weii Jianshan was getting more and more alarmed as he fought. He knew that the ”Flowing Light” driven by that Fatty had to be unusual. Especially the Mecha’s arms, within the control range of those two iron arms, the bizarre force field was unpredictable. Sometimes it was resistance, and other times it was attraction, leaving him completely disoriented. His once familiar Mechanical Control had completely changed. He either used too much force or couldn’t exert any force at all. Even a simple Second-level action would go wrong under the influence of Fatty’s force field.

However, after a period of adaptation, Weii Jianshan had gradually mastered a trick. Decades of Mecha Fighting training weren’t just for show. Whether in skill, experience, or insight, Weii Jianshan was unparalleled. Facing Fatty’s force field, he began to consider the variations of follow-up actions and used a lot of feints.

At this time, Fatty also began to change his tactics with Weii Jianshan’s movements. He quickened his steps and tried to widen the distance.

Such a good experimental opponent, Fatty didn’t want to waste it. After understanding the magnetic instrument’s impact on his opponent’s attacks, Fatty began to experiment with how to use the force field to change his actions.

When Fatty’s hand speed increased to seventy moves per second, the whole world fell silent.

The ”Hurricane” kicked off, its body shot forward like a cannonball, and the right fist struck fiercely. The ”Flowing Light” retreated like a dandelion blown by the wind...

The ”Hurricane” kicked upward, and the ”Flowing Light” in mid-air straightened up like a bird fluttering its wings, gracefully soaring higher...

The ”Hurricane” pushed off the ground with one leg and shot up into the sky. The ”Flowing Light’s” lightweight body suddenly sank as if tied to a heavy stone...

The ”Hurricane” struck down from the air, shadowing every move. The ”Flowing Light” twisted swiftly like a fish swimming, slipping away quickly with a ripple...

The two Mechas continued their rapid offense and defense in the center of the training ground. Two phantoms intertwined, rising and falling.

People surrounded the area, staring blankly, their minds empty. No one could describe their feelings at this moment. Everyone was dumbfounded.

What the hell is this?

The Mechanical Warriors who spent their lives dealing with Mechas couldn’t understand it. Were they watching a Mecha, an engine-structural Metal Mecha, or a living ghost emerging from the underworld?

How could these actions be done by a Mecha?

They had spent their lives dealing with Mechas, knowing every part and every move of a Mecha inside out... But the ”Flowing Light” before them had completely overturned all their lifelong understanding of Mechas.

Those at the sidelines, led by Old Hei and Belchi from the Black Devil Studio, were the most excited. Their eyes were shining, their nostrils flaring, and they were breathing rapidly. Each one looked both proud and tense, even more exaggerated than when Fatty trekked to Silicon Valley to fetch them.

They never expected that in their eyes, a product of accidental inspiration, a gadget with unresolved core issues, would have such magical effects! The magnetic instrument succeeded, and it’s no exaggeration to say that this success marked a new era for Mechas!

The experimental Mecha driven by Fatty, whether in structural exterior materials or the internal ten-system performance data, was identical to other ”Flowing Light” Mechas.

The only difference was the addition of a magnetic instrument and an extra engine that cooperated with the magnetic instrument.

Who is Weii Jianshan? He is the Second-level War God standing at the top of the civilian Mecha Fighting World. But in front of the experimental Mecha controlled by Fatty, he couldn’t even touch Fatty once.

The entire fight had lost any significance of a match. If Fatty wanted to kill, he had fifteen chances to take Weii Jianshan down in a single blow.

This was definitely a revolution in the history of Mechas!

Everyone at Black Devil Studio was in shock and also fortunate. They were astounded by what they had created and felt grateful for their destinies and for meeting Fatty.

Not only because Fatty saved them, but more so because of his vision.

In the world, outstanding talents are common, but excellent scouts are rare.

Fatty not only keenly realized the true use of the magnetic instrument, pointing the way for the scientists, but he also personally participated in the latter stages of the magnetic instrument’s research. In just ten days, under Fatty’s leadership, the scientists solved the nodes and material commonality issues of the magnetic instrument and came up with an engine design that could work with it.

Some scientists looked down at their hands, staring blankly. The Mecha competition before them was telling them genuinely that their hands had created a miracle.

”Ping,” a crisp metal collision sound interrupted the thoughts of those on the sidelines. They focused their eyes and saw, amidst the slowly settling dust, the two Mechas, whose dazzling phantoms were previously all they could see, had already stopped.

Fatty lost?!

This answer, which should have been without suspense, now felt so astonishing. Everyone seemed to have an illusion that no matter how bizarre or disadvantageous the fight was, Fatty wouldn’t lose. It felt normal for him to win multiple rounds; it felt strange for him to lose.
