Counterfeit Hero

”Something doesn’t smell right!” Fatty stared at the long-range viewer, looking at the leisurely advancing Blood Shadow Mecha Group, frowning. The disappearance of the two armored camps made him realize that the situation seemed not to be entirely under his control, and consequently, a vague sense of threat lingered.

The Blood Shadow Mecha Group continued to advance, with one hundred and twenty Mechas at the front already crossing the Lorenzo No.5 Bridge. The convoy in the middle was gradually making its way through.

”Colonel!” Seeing the Blood Shadow Mecha Group about to enter the ambush zone, Kolt couldn’t help but ask, ”Should we attack?”

Fatty didn’t respond. He silently looked at the electronic sand table, his brain functioning like a high-speed machine. His chubby hands rapidly typed on the keyboard, and simulation steps continuously flipped on the screen, with one simulation icon after another appearing on the electronic sand table like bubbles surfacing from a lake.

”Planning to defeat them piecemeal…” In the Command Room of the Central City North Alliance, a lean and dark-skinned middle-aged man beside Selwal lightly pressed his slender, powerful fingers on the electronic map of Puluo Town, with a teasing smile on his dark and sharp-featured face: ”A sturdy shell and sharp weapon are meant to protect the softest core. However, you don’t understand, when you can only see one weapon in the enemy’s hand, you can’t win this battle! Did you really think I would only send such a small force to attack?”

In the Combat Command Center, bustling military staff were busy at their posts, handling communications, collecting battle reports, performing tactical simulations, and issuing orders...everyone was rushing around non-stop.

Occasionally, the staff’s eyes would involuntarily land on the middle-aged man in front of the huge electronic map. Without exception, all the gazes were filled with respect and admiration, along with an uncontrollable thrill—reaching this stage of the battle, the military dominator of the Northern Alliance, Feiler, finally took action personally.

The bandit army in Puluo Town would never know that the deepest commanding talent among their opponents was not the Northern Alliance Armed Forces’ Commander Selwal, nor was it Colonel Chuck from the Suss Armored Group, but this silent and reserved Northern Alliance Armed Forces Chief of Staff!

If those self-proclaimed powerful bandits were still reveling in the past victory where one hundred and twenty Mechas annihilated the First Assault Group, then without a doubt, they were awaiting a tragic defeat—for anyone who did not understand Feiler had already paid the price.

At sixteen, he became a military exchange student between the Silliac Federation and the Ryan Republic, entering the Ryan Army Command College. Five years later, he graduated with top honors! By the age of twenty-eight, he had accumulated military merits and became the youngest Major General in the Silliac Federation. Before leaving the Silliac Federation, he commanded a total of nineteen battles, achieving eight total annihilations of the enemy, six routs, and two instances of defeating larger forces with smaller ones.

In the remaining three battles, under the desperate onslaught of overwhelming enemy forces, the defensive line under his command was as impenetrable as a steel fortress!

Selwal’s distant cousin was recognized as a military genius among the remnants of the Nademick Dynasty! To help him escape the Silliac Federation, the Rejuvenation Society sacrificed six advanced agents and deployed eight commerce group fleets. Feiler’s mysterious defection became the biggest scandal and secret of the Silliac military.

To say that if he had continued serving in the Silliac military until the present day, he would undoubtedly have been a renowned name in the Great Generals Record!

His tactical thinking was simple, yet no one could emulate it—collect and create every bit of advantage and then amplify it infinitely.

This tactical style required not only experience but also an innate talent for calculation! When the army he commanded appeared before you, you would feel a bulldozer roaring towards you. The giant iron shovel, in the process of advancing, would push up a hill and bury you alive in despair!

He always silently gathered his full strength, and when he struck, it was invariably a deadly thunderbolt!

If the rise of the Northern Commerce Alliance relied on Selwal’s leadership abilities and keen political instincts, then the reason why the Northern Commerce Alliance grew stronger through countless struggles without weakening was indeed because of Feiler’s military talent.

In the previous Sect War, Feiler did not say a single word regarding specific tactical commands. All combat plans and battlefield commands were carried out independently by the Northern Alliance Combat Command Center. Besides casually glancing at battle reports, Selwal did not intervene or give any directives in strategic or tactical matters...

Because he disdained to do so!

If, under the advantages Selwal painstakingly accumulated over decades and with the support of the Suss Imperial Army, the Northern Commerce Alliance still couldn’t beat the Three Major Schools, then the military staff in the Combat Command Center, who were meticulously placed there by the Rejuvenation Society into various military academies and forces, might as well commit suicide!

Yet today, Feiler was personally standing in front of the electronic sand table in the Command Room.

For the bandit army that annihilated the First Armored Assault Group, Feiler was going to personally bury them.

On the electronic sand table in front of Feiler, the terrain was the same as the one in front of Fatty. However, unlike Fatty’s sand table, Feiler’s showed three additional red arrows.

One arrow marked the troops splitting from the east of Puluo Town, advancing northeastward. Together with the two Northern Alliance Mixed Formation Groups that set off from the Northern Industrial Zone, they were launching a pincer attack on the northwest defensive line of Puluo Town.
