Counterfeit Hero

Fatty couldn’t help but give a bitter smile, ruffling his hair into a mess with one hand.

Markovich silently followed behind Fatty, looking at Fatty’s staggering back, and couldn’t help but sigh in his heart.

He knew that the current bandit army was like a newborn Little Antelope, wobbling on a perilous grassland, with its body still wrapped in fetal membrane, kicking its slender limbs, stumbling and trying to stand up. In the distance, wolves, tigers, and leopards had already begun to approach slowly. If it didn’t complete this first stand in its life, what awaited this antelope was death.

There was no escape. The Sect Mutual Aid Alliance had just come together and needed confidence. Civilian Mech Knights also needed to transform into warriors trained strictly according to army manuals. The newly acquired Saleria Battleship needed time to adapt to the Freedom Channel modifications, so this battle had to be fought and had to be won.

But who knows what will happen after winning the battle. This time Suss came with two regiments, next time, it could be two divisions!

With heavy hearts, the two walked through the airport maintenance dock, through the self-service conveyor belt by the roadside, around the grove filled with birch trees, then through the storage center, and finally entered the supporting industrial zone located in the southernmost corner of the airport.

Calling it an industrial zone was a bit of a stretch. It was originally just a few large workshops set up for vehicle maintenance, mecha, and ship transport. Because the airport’s processing tasks didn’t always fill the schedule, these workshops also processed some products for outside parties. As the airport’s expertise gained more recognition, they received more and more orders, and the original few workshops expanded into the current small-scale supporting industrial zone.

Areas 1 to 6 of the industrial zone were occupied by under-processing companies and technical departments brought by various sects when they gathered in Puluo Town. The 7th, 8th, and 9th districts in the east corner of the processing area were strictly guarded as the core industrial zone by the bandit army.

The projects from the eleven laboratories brought back from Silicon Valley were completed and assembled in the 7th and 8th districts. The general bandit army members only knew these two districts were constantly busy, but no one knew exactly what was being produced inside.

The 9th District was the most mysterious area of all the processing zones. It was only established a few days ago, and other than seeing dozens of flying cars transporting personnel and heavy trucks carrying large containers entering the 9th District, there were no further updates about this area.

Outside the temporary isolation net set up in the 9th District, ten Heng Dao Mechas in combat mode patrolled. Armed bandit army soldiers stood every three steps and posted every five steps, surrounding the 9th District tightly.

Accompanied by Markovich, Fatty walked through the spacious outdoor storage area and reached the enormous workshop buildings. The alloy frame and concrete outer walls of the workshop were blue, standing fifty meters at the highest point of the gable roof. There were six workshops in total, each more than a hundred meters wide and over six hundred meters long. Standing outside the workshop, a person looked as small as an ant.

When Markovich input the secret code, the tall, heavy workshop door slowly opened before Fatty, and the deafening roar of machinery mixed with the sound of electronic drills, mechanical extension, and welding hit him all at once. Inside the huge workshop, dozens of mechas lined up neatly on the assembly lines, with hundreds of mechanical arms moving up and down. Flashing welding sparks and electrical sparks flickered in and out.

Fatty stepped onto the workbench at the entrance. Markovich activated the semi-circular workbench, and with a soft sound, the mechanical arms along the surrounding tracks lifted the workbench, moving it through the rows of mechas on the two production lines, and headed deeper into the workshop.

As soon as the workbench moved, Fatty, who had been feeling downcast, suddenly changed his expression, looking gleefully at the mechas receding on both sides of the workbench.

On the production line, two rows of mechas stood neatly in formation - 6.8 meters tall frames, cyan armor, square tilted-outside mounted armor, six internal missile launchers, two small-caliber energy machine guns, and one 200 mm high-speed armor-piercing Energy Cannon...

The mecha was personally designed by Fatty. It combined key technologies from the Logic, Divine, and Casper’s Work Journal, utilizing dual ion accelerated engines, new high-carbon alloy internal drive shafts, Chromium-Titanium Alloy formed Magic Beast base structures, sixteen-layer composite compression fillers, and back-mounted Hummingbird thrusters.

Galaxy Mecha Company completed the basic mecha structure and some components, while other critical parts were newly assembled. Apart from some differences in materials, mechanical computers, radars, and auxiliary systems compared with Feiyang Republic’s Divine, in terms of basic performance, this mecha already surpassed the Divine.

Especially with Casper’s Work Journal’s engine design and the use of Hummingbird thruster technology, this mecha reached an astonishing level of speed.

None of this was particularly special. The special part was... this mecha had a bloated, obese humanoid body and a face identical to Fatty’s.

If the mecha’s bloated physique was designed by Fatty to install dual engines and internal missile launchers, then that honest, chubby face was purely a result of that scoundrel’s sense of humor.
