Beneath the Red Dragon

Chapter 342: Chapter 129: When the Dragon Group Falls Silent (Part 3)

Red Dragons prefer warmth, and even their relaxing thermal baths are hot springs.

Two Giant Dragons, knowing the Red Dragon’s private nature, unhesitatingly immersed themselves in the spring. The temperature of the steamy pool wasn’t very high.

Yet the rushing spring water and steam washed over the Giant Dragon’s scales, soaking into their skin, letting the two water-loving dragons squint in enjoyment.

”Truly a pleasure, Karon, your ideas are always so plentiful,” Blue Dragon Akzhi squinted his eyes, enjoying the brush service from the attendants together with Bronze Dragon Alina.

Before the dragons, there were trays of fruit desserts, allowing these dragons to help themselves.

The attendants serving the bathing dragons were clearly different from other maidens, notably strong, with muscular biceps and thighs.

Among them were two Beastman attendants, with noticeable abdominal muscles and slightly dark tanned skin, resembling female warriors more.

These maidens used special steel brushes to scrub between the Giant Dragon’s scales, prompting Bronze Dragon Alina to exclaim: ”I should recruit a batch of such attendants in my lair too, but it will have to wait until my castle is built.”

Every Dragon Lord in the Dragon Group was permitted to build their castle next to their lair, though the cost needed to be deducted from their dividends or funded by themselves by hiring craftsmen.

Despite the sufficient wealth of other dragons, they were reluctant to use it for building their castles, as lairs were more comfortable for dragons.

However, after witnessing Karon’s enjoyment, Bronze Dragon Alina couldn’t help but entertain the thought of constructing her castle.

”You can, I’ll lend you two maidens when the time comes, so they can train your attendants to quickly familiarize themselves with the tasks,”

Karon swallowed the fruit handed by the attendant, savoring the sweet taste. These excellent varieties cultivated by the Druids had already become one of the Dragon Group Territory’s exports.

The favorable climate and ample sunlight made these fruits exceptionally fragrant and sweet, already the favorite dessert pastime among the nobility of Northern Continent countries.

Bronze Dragon Alina chuckled softly, ”I can hardly wait any longer, by the way, Karon, how long will it be until you enter your slumber.”

”My bloodline urges me, in fact, after I meet with you, I must return to my lair and enter the dreamscape there.”

Karon gently shook his head, resisting the temptation to sleep as his tone became more formal.

”Once I enter slumber, Alina, you’ll be responsible for managing all territorial affairs, acting as the temporary Governor of the Land of Golden, overseeing the coordination of local governmental operations.”

”I will maintain our territory at all costs,”

Bronze Dragon Alina, this Metal Dragon, emphasized the word ’our’ heavily.

”Good,” Karon was pleased with the Bronze Dragon’s response, having a premonition that this time the duration of slumber might exceed the imagination of ordinary Giant Dragons.

Generally, Giant Dragons entering adolescent slumber last at least two years, at most three to five years, but Karon felt his slumber might exceed these numbers, so he had to give some specific planning and guidance.

On one side, connecting major cities like Golden City, Royal Capital, and Baystream City to allocate and distribute residents within the territory, forming networks of towns and villages for better control and implementation of policies.

On the other hand, the use and development of steam engines will be prioritized alongside Magic Technology, supported by resource preferences from the Dragon Group Territory.

This small machine, capable of liberating manpower and beast power, significantly increases productivity.

Hailing from his hometown, Karon knew precisely how the machine leads civilization to higher levels.

Karon has planned that in the future, windmills, various workshops, and sailboats along the coast within the territory would be replaced by other means.

Inefficient production methods, those requiring large amounts of manpower and time to process raw materials, will become more efficient mass production methods, transforming into thousands of finished products in a short time.

This is also the origin that allows Karon’s world to gradually become mighty in a short time.

Moreover, the strength of the territory is intimately linked with Karon’s power. His power grows stronger with the territory’s strength, thus he must prioritize its development.

Under Karon’s recount, Bronze Dragon Alina inscribed these future policies into her Spellbook, ensuring none of the guidance would be forgotten.

Blue Dragon Akzhi also listened attentively, realizing the need for the collaboration of remaining Great Dragons after most of the Dragon Group entered slumber.

”Akhzi, you are appointed as the Legion Commander of the Land of Golden, granted authority over all legions except the Imperial Guard,” Karon tossed his inscribed token to the Blue Dragon.

This wasn’t a lack of trust towards the Bronze Dragon, but at times, the character root of Five-Color Dragons, ruthlessness, is needed to handle certain matters.

Also, without Karon’s leadership, power distribution and balancing are necessary measures.

”I will guard the territory well, Karon,” Blue Dragon Akzhi swallowed the Monarch’s token and replied solemnly.

”Very good, I look forward to the moment I awaken, witnessing a complete and thriving kingdom,” Karon stepped out of the hot spring, splashing water everywhere.

As the second year of Giant Dragon Calendar approached its end, the Master of the Dragon Clans entered slumber within his volcanic lair.
