Beneath the Red Dragon

Chapter 308: Chapter 113: Dust to Dust

Blue Dragon Doss slowed down, and the flowing wind was like a gentle maiden extending her soft hand, caressing and conveying the body of the Blue Dragon.

The wings of Blue Dragon Doss, etched with patterns of storms and lightning, were always spread open, never flapping, only occasionally adjusting the angle of tilt to better hide in the high-altitude clouds.

The two priests of the Dragon Worship Sect in front, though weaving and hiding in the dense forest, could not escape the sight of the Blue Dragon.

An ordinary eagle and golden eagle can accurately spot a moving rabbit on the ground from thousands of meters high.

Not to mention the vision of a giant dragon; the activities of the two Dragon Worship priests were as clear as the lines on one’s palm in the eyes of the Blue Dragon.

The priests of the Dragon Worship Sect, although appearing frail, had extremely fast speed, clearly unlike ordinary humans. Their pace in the dense and entangled forest surpassed wild horses proficient in running across the grassland.

As the giant dragon priest gradually turned towards the undulating mountains in the forest, entering a deep canyon, the towering mountains on both sides blocked the Blue Dragon far behind.

Blue Dragon Doss was anxious, quickly flapping its wings, and the gentle flowing wind suddenly whipped up into a strong thrust, helping the giant dragon explode with faster speed.

But just then, a low, familiar voice sounded in Blue Dragon Doss’s ear; it was Karon’s voice.

”Come down, Doss, these are the last two, see who’s behind these guys.”

With concentrated attention, Blue Dragon Doss then noticed a faint red figure quietly standing on a natural platform extending from the cliff of the green mountain ahead, its figure obscured by an ancient tree growing slightly upwards.

Beside it stood a small squad of ten Imperial Guard warriors silently, led by none other than Saha the Dragon Descendant Werewolf, who was on duty today.

Several flying dragons embedded their claws into the steep cliff, nearly twenty, with flying dragon riders tightly bound to the back of the flying dragons, quietly, even a giant dragon could overlook them.

Blue Dragon Doss scattered the surrounding whirlwind, smoothing the force of the wings’ descent, gently landing on the mountain peak, the dense forest crumbling and snapping underfoot with a crackling sound, even though Blue Dragon Doss was extra cautious, its enormous body still made quite a noise.

”Karon, were you also summoned by these guys? I thought with your will you could resist this ancient ritual’s call,”

Blue Dragon Doss bared its fangs in a grin, in the eyes of the giant dragons, this Red Dragon’s will was almost unlike anything a giant dragon could possess, even some ascetics among the humans, who focus on spiritual cultivation, might not have a will as determined as the Red Dragon’s.

A pair of red horns pointing skyward, the scale-armored Dragon Descendant Karon shook his head, without responding to Blue Dragon’s words, but instead instructed the Commander of the Imperial Guard Saha and the captain of the Flying Dragon Battle Corps squad behind him: ”Prepare to act, wait for those Dragon Worship priests to open the teleportation gate, capture them, do not let a single one escape.”

The Dragon Descendant Werewolf Saha did not speak, just lowered his head, then led nine Imperial Guard warriors to leap down from the mountain peak.

Roar,

Twenty flying dragons slashed their claws through the rock, leaping from the cliff with outstretched wings, soaring over the mountain peak, then diving down, catching the descending Imperial Guards in mid-air.

Yoo-hoo,

The riders on the flying dragons excitedly shouted, maneuvering their dragons to swoop close to the ground, simultaneously dropping the Imperial Guard warriors into the valley below.

One by one, the Imperial Guard warriors rolled off the backs of the flying dragons, landing with a bent knee, heads slightly lowered, embedding their broadswords into the loose soil of the valley, absorbing the impact of their descent.

Each Imperial Guard warrior raised their head, those Dragon Worship priests were surrounding a crowned priest, who was holding a book akin to scripture, chanting a complex spell.

A wide teleportation gate slowly unfolded in front of the priest, just a few steps away from them.

An extremely strange stench wafted from the open teleportation gate.

”You’re too late, lackeys of the giant dragon, just one step away,” the crowned middle-aged priest closed the scripture, smilingly placed his right hand on his left chest, and made a faux courtesy,

”It’s a pity about the dragon’s blood in your body, you don’t understand how to be a free dragon but choose to become a slave to the giant dragon,” the middle-aged priest taunted,

”You...”

Whoosh,

Before the middle-aged priest could finish his words, his lofty expression froze on his face, a heavy broadsword, with a whistling sound, shot out from Dragon Descendant Werewolf Saha’s hand, passing close by the middle-aged priest’s body, nailing directly between the priest and the teleportation gate.

Deeply embedded in the ground, the powerful force caused the giant sword to still slightly quiver in the soil.

”Dare to step through the teleportation gate, die, take action, capture them alive!”

The first sentence was a warning to the Dragon Worship priests, the latter was an order to the other warriors.

The eyes under the face armor of the Imperial Guard warriors suddenly brightened, hefting their heavy swords, they twirled their blades and stepped forward, the swords in their hands akin to sharp arrows on strings, ready to release at any moment.
