Beneath the Red Dragon

Chapter 328: Chapter 122: Punishment Angels

Karon’s massive body lay sprawled on the cool floor, making no movement. The claw resting on the Chief Maid Charlize’s body twitched slightly, but he said nothing.

Knowledge Fortress is the code name for the Half-Plane left by Ancient Mages.

Although Karon’s cooperation with the mages was notably smooth and fruitful, the Dragon Group was nearing the hibernation phase of their next age period; he wouldn’t choose to explore and adventure at this time.

Moreover, for Karon, blindly gathering knowledge without digestion was of no benefit. Even if he wasn’t facing the impending hibernation, he would still make the same choice.

The Red Dragon remained silent, making no indication.

But Maid Charlize already understood her master’s intention. She smiled slightly, without showing her teeth.

She gently lifted the long hair that had fallen on Karon’s dragon claw with her right hand and tucked it behind her ear, then marked a large red cross on the scroll with a specially made red pen.

Then she rolled up the scroll and sealed it by her side.

Her ability to attain the position of Chief Maid was not based solely on her beauty and former family background; her calm and composure shown at the moment she met the Red Dragon was also why Karon valued her.

”The steam power device handed over by the goblin inventor Bang Bang to the Ministry of Internal Affairs has been successfully improved by the scholars at the Research Center and is ready for practical operation experiments, and the steam locomotive is also in design,”

”But according to the master’s vision, laying tracks throughout the entire territory would require a lot of iron ore, and the current production capacity of the territory is insufficient to support such a vast consumption, as the focus in this regard is on armament production.”

Charlize pulled out another document and softly recited it next to Karon’s ear.

”After successful experimentation, wooden tracks can be laid initially; let the people in the Ministry of Internal Affairs be more flexible and adapt to local conditions,” Karon flicked his tail, offering his advice.

Charlize picked up the red pen and wrote down the Red Dragon’s opinion without missing a word at the end of the scroll, then signaled another Elf Maid standing by to consolidate the documented opinions.

”The Magic Power Core Armor, also handed over by goblin Bang Bang to the Research Center, has also achieved stable and successful results after improvement by those scholars. The Ministry of Military Affairs is now applying for all formal corps within the territory to be equipped. They have named this batch of successfully improved armor as the Conqueror generation!”

Charlize opened the third file and softly recited the words.

”It can be implemented gradually. The name is acceptable,”

Karon gave his opinion but then opened one eye and grumbled: ”That goblin Bang Bang only invents without improving. In that case, hand over the blueprints I drew in my study to the Research Center. Let them create these things.”

The dimples on Charlize’s cheeks quietly appeared. She marked the document and then quietly summoned other maids to complete the tasks her master had commanded.

The keys to every room on the second floor of the castle were on Charlize, like a ring belt, encircling Charlize’s exposed soft waist.

”The data organized by the scholars from the Statistical Planning Department has been consolidated. This data includes all systems within the territory, including the Barbarian’s totem, the Power Seed cultivation method submitted by Commander Batorri, the mages’ meditation practice, and the Magic Assembly Device obtained through exploration from the Ancient Mages,”

”Copy all these materials and store them in my study,” Karon said.

”Master, there’s one more thing on the file,” Charlize raised her head, lifting her thick long hair, and softly said: ”Antoda, one of the scholars leading the Statistical Planning Department and a candidate for the Wise Kings, has submitted a plan,”

”He believes that these power systems can, to some extent, be integrated for more powerful effects, so he’s requesting permission to initiate a plan called Punishment Angels!”

...

Three Giant Dragons flew over an endlessly dense forest, among which, two were Blue Dragons, roughly similar in size, while a more robust Red Dragon lagged behind them, resembling a follower.

These were none other than Carlette, Akzhi, and Kaidelos, the three dragons.

The gracefully built Blue Dragon Carlette led the way ahead, with Blue Dragon Akzhi slightly trailing by a body length.

The Young Red Dragon Kaidelos maintained a vigilant watch of the surroundings, following Blue Dragon Carlette all the way to the northwest of the Dragon Group Territory, already beginning to stray from its boundaries.

This made the Young Red Dragon, Kaidelos, who had roamed for years, habitually maintain caution; no one could guarantee that the dangerous forest wouldn’t suddenly have creatures even stronger than a young Giant Dragon emerge. The hardships Kaidelos had once faced had taught him a lesson.

While the two Blue Dragons also kept vigilant, Blue Dragons possessed the ability to control storms, making them more agile and faster in the sky than the Red Dragon, so they weren’t particularly worried.

They might not outrun the enemy, but they could certainly outrun the Red Dragon.

”How much further, Carlette? If we go much further, we’ll have to turn back. We can’t drift too far from the Dragon Group Territory; we might trespass into the territory of other powerful creatures.”

Blue Dragon Akzhi wished to complete the mission but wouldn’t let go of caution.

”Haha,” free of burdens and determined to embrace the Dragon Group anew to seek redemption, Blue Dragon Carlette seemed particularly relaxed and laughed heartily: ”We’re not far now. Haven’t you noticed the magic power in this place is becoming increasingly dense, Akzhi?”

”I used to be a coward, but I certainly don’t want my future partner to be a coward as well,”

”Hmph, you’ll see how brave I am,” Blue Dragon Akzhi snorted coldly, no longer displaying the previous timidity in front of the Female Divine Dragon, giving him a unique charm in front of Blue Dragon Carlette.

”Pfft,” Carlette’s mood was exceptionally smooth; she smiled at Blue Dragon Akzhi: ”The time for you to show your bravery is coming,”

”Up ahead is the Valley of the Fallen Giants, where the magic power is uniquely dense, hence the birth of many Extraordinary Magical Beasts.”

”Many wandering Wild Dragons also pause there. When I traveled from the Land of Divine Promise to the Dragon Nest back then, I passed by there.”

”From time to time, wandering Wild Dragons build nests there before laying dragon eggs. I once took advantage of those Wild Dragons leaving their nests, sneaking in to snatch dragon eggs, haha!”

”That sounds great,” Young Red Dragon Kaidelos excitedly flew to the front, flying side by side with the two Blue Dragons, loudly shouting: ”I’ve been almost stifled these past two years. I need to bring back a female dragon with me, to guard the Treasure Vault together!”

Blue Dragon Akzhi glanced at the excited Red Dragon with his vertical pupils and said calmly: ”It won’t be your turn yet, Kaidelos. The Giant Dragons in the Dragon Group have absolute priority!”
