Beneath the Red Dragon

Chapter 339: Chapter 128: The King’s Will Cannot Be Defied (Part 2)

”They should all be chained up like that young Red Dragon, placed in front of our treasure vault as guard dogs.”

Even though Karon has already communicated with the Dragon Group and unified the common goal, the Giant Dragons in the group won’t easily treat other Giant Dragons as equals. Not every dragon that joins the group is qualified to become a Giant Dragon Lord.

The words of the Female Red Dragon Kleyna aroused hostility among a few White Dragons. Despite being surrounded by numerous Dragon Lords, these White Dragons spread their wings, crouched slightly, baring their fangs and emitting low, threatening growls.

Ding, ding, ding,

The Red Dragon perched on the Black Stone Throne curled its five iron-forged sharp claws, gently tapping the armrest of the throne.

He didn’t need to speak; this subtle action already made all the Giant Dragons close their mouths. The entire hall resonated only with the crisp tapping sound.

”The Dragon Group can take you in. Those Hunters cannot surpass our loyal beloved ones. But the matter of territory cannot be agreed upon,”

Karon tapped the armrest and calmly said, ”Gomot, from now on, you will lead and manage the White Dragons. Remember to teach them how to integrate into the Dragon Group.”

The eyes of the dragons sitting on the Black Stone Throne lit up one by one, glowing intensely like golden lamps. Even the eyes of the Bronze Dragon Alina and the Red Copper Dragon Alfred emitted a bright light.

Karon had previously only mentioned in passing to Blue Dragon Doss about the management plan for the increasing number of Giant Dragons joining the group. He had not yet communicated it with the entire Dragon Group.

However, the Giant Dragons in the group are not fools. Even the slowest White Dragon Camid, though his intelligence exceeds that of most White Dragons of his age, seems particularly evident when compared to other dragons in the group.

All the dragons realized the subsequent impact of Karon’s words. In the future, dragons joining the group can still be regarded as part of the group, but only exceptional dragons can enter the Dragon Council.

Those who are outstanding among them can achieve equal status with the current Giant Dragons in the group. This will be the social class division within the future Dragon Group, and the Red Dragon Monarch sitting high on the throne clearly already had a plan in mind.

”No, we refuse,” the young White Dragon Sloraka’s long whiskers fluttered beside his head as he shook his head in rejection of the Red Dragon’s opinion.

Sloraka looked at the White Dragon Gomot perched on the Black Stone Throne. Supported by the territory, this White Dragon had become exceptionally outstanding, even among the entire White Dragon community.

At the end of his juvenile period, his body length reached over eleven meters, close to twelve meters, comparable to the upper species within the Five-Color Dragons, like the Blue Dragon Akzhi in his juvenile peak.

This proved that this White Dragon had traveled far on the path of reviving the bloodline of his predecessors. Otherwise, a small-sized Dragon Species wouldn’t have matched the size of a Blue Dragon.

But the young White Dragon Sloraka wouldn’t care about your future potential; the status within the Dragon Group is determined by real strength. Even if you surpass me tomorrow, today you must submit under my wings.

”That White Dragon does not have the qualifications to lead us,” the young White Dragon Sloraka said, eyeing the composed Monarch with dissatisfaction, ”I should lead all the White Dragons because my strength is greater; that’s the rule of the Dragon Group.”

”Or you can let that White Dragon fight me. If he wins, I’ll agree to let him lead us.”

”Otherwise, I’d rather not join the Dragon Group and go elsewhere,” the young White Dragon straightened his neck, a primal beast-like gleam flashing in his eyes.

Although White Dragon Gomot remains exceptionally outstanding, facing a rival from an entire age group ahead is a hopeless situation.

Despite the three-meter body length difference, a White Dragon growing into the youth stage has a more robust and resilient skeletal-muscular structure than juvenile White Dragons, enabling them to exert power beyond mere size calculations.

Moreover, the genuine golden era for a dragon begins after the juvenile stage, where magical abilities and inherent strength witness exponential growth. This period becomes the threshold for most dragons walking the Icaria World.

Just like Karon now, possessing enough comprehensive capabilities to directly confront and defeat the young Red Dragon Kedelos, but if Kedelos’s counterattack hits Karon’s body, Karon would sustain damage as well.

The gap between the juvenile White Dragon Gomot and Karon is far larger than that between him and this young White Dragon.

However, the Gogomola Dragon Group has never been like other dragon groups; they have their own order.

After the young White Dragon Sloraka rejected the master of this King’s Castle, it inevitably angered the Dragon Lords, who were previously envisioning the future.

One by one, dragons, like the Green Dragon Antajena, spread their wings, gripping the armrest of the Black Stone Throne with their claw hooks on their wings, their forelimb sharp claws clutching the half of the throne.

Their long necks bent forward, bringing the entire upper body forward, their heads approaching the White Dragons, an almost tangible Dragon Power enveloping the entire King’s Castle hall, the atmosphere growing tense and solemn.

”You, how dare you defy the will of the King,” the fiery-tempered Female Dragon Kleyna clutched the armrest of the throne with her claw hooks.

She looked down at the now-wary White Dragons, stating word by word, ”Karon is the master of the Dragon Group, the leader of its commander, his words represent the entire Dragon Group’s will. You dare to defy the entire Dragon Group’s will.”

The low growl of the Female Red Dragon still echoed in the hall, but the impulsive female dragon had already lunged forward. Reviving her predecessors’ bloodline, the female Red Dragon, though not as large as Karon, still spanned about thirteen meters.

The charging female dragon now resembled a red mountain, carrying fury as it crashed towards the young White Dragon Sloraka.

Ever since being defeated this way by Karon as a youngling, the little female dragon learned to use this Red Dragon bulldozer move as a regular opening tactic.

The young White Dragon Sloraka, though self-assured in his strength, dared not face the charge of the Red Dragon head-on. He unfurled his wings, flipping them like wide sails facing Red Dragon Kleyna, trying to take flight and evade the Red Dragon’s impact.

But, from the dragon claw of Green Dragon Antajena, the plant unique to the Greenfield Forest—Bloodthirsty Vine—rapidly grew under her Talent Skill.

The seeds, flying out, burst as they neared the young White Dragon Sloraka, thick vines like living tendrils spontaneously coiled around the wings of this young White Dragon.

Blue Dragon Akzhi even narrowed his eyes, spitting out a Lightning Breath from his mouth. Unlike a regular breath attack, the highly condensed lightning pierced through this young White Dragon’s flight membrane, prompting a cry of agony from the White Dragon.

Meanwhile, a thick mist from Black Dragon Rosani’s silent exhalation, akin to the fog over the marshlands for centuries, obscured the young White Dragon’s vision, making it difficult for him to judge his opponents’ moves temporarily.

Bang,

A muffled impact sound ensued. The next second, the young White Dragon’s chest met the Female Red Dragon Kleyna’s dragon vehicle attack.

Neither the flexible Dragon Hide nor the thick fur could negate the Red Dragon’s crash force. Amidst the trembling muscles in his chest and abdomen, the young White Dragon tottered backward, its head bumping onto the floor, evoking a dull thud before sliding several meters across the smooth ground, halting.

Benefiting from his previous backward posture, the young White Dragon avoided Kleyna’s subsequent Dragon Horn jab, leaving him with a buzzing head, his eyes dancing with gold stars.

Thud,

Kleyna’s forelimb trampled the young White Dragon’s rear limb, forcibly fracturing its leg bone, her long neck craning forward, baring her fierce fangs.

”Remember, Sloraka, other dragon groups are other dragon groups, but the Gogomola Dragon Group has its rules! I might not take your Gold Coin, consider it a kindness. The most important rule is that the King’s will cannot be defied!”
