Beneath the Red Dragon

Chapter 331: Chapter 125: The Path of the Giant Dragon

”If my experiments and Ticky’s research can yield some results during this time, my plan can take shape.”

Karon and Ticky have already stepped into the hall of bloodline research. Relying on the extraction of Evil Dragon True Blood from the Young Red Dragon Kedelos, they have discovered fragments of the source of power in the giant dragon bloodlines.

As long as they can extract these fragments of the bloodline’s source of power, and Karon can compare them with himself to uncover his own source of power, Karon’s plan will have stepped into the threshold.

As for sending the Young Blue Dragon Akzhi to capture the giant dragon, it’s just a supplementary plan that doesn’t need to be rushed.

If all else fails, Karon doesn’t mind extracting more True Blood from this Young Red Dragon Kedelos.

Karon stood under the World Tree, welcoming the gusts of wind, while deep in thought.

”Even if I obtain all the source blood of the Five-Colored Giant Dragons and Metal Dragons in this world to evolve myself, it might only elevate me to the level of Tiamat and Bahamut.”

”Though Tiamat is powerful, requiring me to look up to it now, it still cowers on one layer of hell, working for those demons.”

”The Platinum Dragon God, though powerful, still needs to integrate into those divine spirits and lacks sufficient freedom. Even the Primordial Giant Dragon Ayo once fell to the giant axe of the King of the Desolate God. This is far from enough!”

”I need to follow my predetermined path, acquire more sources of power from giant dragons, and grasp the essence of being a dragon. This is a direct path for me as a giant dragon.”

This is not just Karon’s plan for his future but also an attempt to prepare for crises that hang over him like the Sword of Damocles, ready to descend at any moment.

The High-level Mage Association, led by the White-haired Mage Lapus, and the descendants of ancient mages hidden in the dark may have received some warnings and tips, hence their relentless exploration of ancient mage ruins.

Even as they harvest endless knowledge from the Knowledge Fortress, they haven’t stopped.

Perhaps they are not seeking knowledge, but something capable of wielding world-altering power when crisis strikes. What could those things be?

Karon pondered until the bell tolled again, and he smiled, ”Come on, Owo, it’s time to learn!”

Amidst the mountains, in the Giant Dragon King’s Castle.

Karon sent off the Blue Dragon Lord, intending to lie down and enjoy some leisure time.

At that moment, Karon’s massive body swayed slightly, a figure stepped out behind him, catching the eyes of the maids standing by, who couldn’t look away.

Especially the elf maids, who blushed with excitement.

Only after the Elf Aspect stepped out of the King’s Castle did these maids regain their senses, lowering their heads in embarrassment, realizing how shallow they appeared.

Karon paid no attention to these maids; his physical form and his aspect were one, but he was not his aspect, so these maids were effectively looking at another side of him.

His sub-brain cluster was fully operational, analyzing the previous situation.

”According to the 19,600 magic runes I’ve mastered, the magic power seed condensed by the Seed of Power should be enough to form most middle and low-tier magic. Where is the problem?”

Karon opened his dragon claw, and a dazzling spiritual light of magic power gathered at his claw tips. Nineteen thousand six hundred magic runes flowed and extinguished like a brilliant light stream between his fingers, attempting various combinations of arrangements.

Whenever the numerous magic runes assembled into a stable spell model, it would automatically break apart, and the shining magic runes would shatter and flicker like extinguished candles between his fingers.

His elf aspect had died many times while attempting to condense the magic power seed. Were it not for Karon’s aspect being no ordinary mortal flesh, Karon’s own corpse might have carpeted the floor of an entire laboratory.

”There is a problem, but where is it?” Karon muttered softly, frowning with his fine scales.

But at that moment, Karon’s massive body swayed again, and a human figure silently stepped out from behind Karon.

”Alright, alright,” Karon’s face displayed a look of extreme speechlessness, as he momentarily wished for these two aspects not to be of flesh.

This human aspect was partly influenced by the power of faith from his subjects, so although it carried the innate rugged handsomeness of Karon’s Red Dragon traits like the elf aspect, it was more defined by those profound eyes.

Like a king seated high on the imperial throne, inscrutable to their subjects, yet carrying a trace of human gentleness, which made the surrounding maids curious yet hesitant to look.

Karon shook his head slightly, resting his head on his foreclaws that were casually intertwined, leaving only a small part of his consciousness to maintain his body’s operations and sub-brain. The rest of his consciousness descended into his human aspect, like a young king, stepping out of his King’s Castle and flying to his Dragon Nest.

At the moment, Karon’s Dragon Nest was solely his resting place for the night, so during the day, many animals born under the Red Dragon’s influence would be active atop the mountain of the Red Dragon’s Nest.

A flock of Red Flame Phoenixes, unknowingly migrated here, had even nested near the Red Dragon’s Nest, usually relying on the Red Dragon’s power to act recklessly. They would even provoke the Gryphons in the forest, chased into the mountains more than once by the Gryphons, yet remained incorrigible.

Now, this flock of Phoenixes was chirping and hopping on bizarre golems, unafraid even at Karon’s arrival, refusing to flee.

Instead, they flew forward, encircling Karon, chirping accusations of how the recent explosion disturbed their rest and play.

”Shoo, shoo,” Karon chased these firebirds, whose courage exceeded their size, away and walked to his golem crafting ground, observing these golems.

A Wood Giant Golem, its torso and limbs made from exceptionally tough ancient trees in the forest, with thick, sturdy vines serving as the body’s blood vessels and nervous system, shaped by plant magic.

Standing two meters tall, weighing about six hundred kilograms.

And various peculiar scarecrow, ghost puppet, gargoyle, willow man, and other golems which ancient mages would demand the destruction of as heresy.

One such golem, with long limbs and wearing a straw hat, was half-blown apart with black smoke emanating from it, and a thick burnt odor permeated the air.

”Golem body shaping and structure are easy to complete, not difficult for me, but Elemental Essence is currently challenging. Perhaps I could try using the souls of other races, or even human souls, to power these golems,”

Karon stroked his chin, contemplating the feasibility of his idea.

”If I use human souls to power the golems, perhaps I could create widely popular character golems from stories and see if they sell,” life-sized action figures, which this world’s beings might also find irresistible.

”Forget it, that’s too inhumane,” Karon shook his head and began his attempts to simulate soul fluctuations, trying to artificially create substitutes for the essence.
